It is only 10 minutes away by foot to the hakone yumoto statin which connects to the Odawara station which is a JR station. The amenities in Hot Springs were wonderful and it felt so good. The breakfast was also awesome and had so many varieties of food and it was all so delicious. We love the traditional tatami mats and the futons. We had an overlook of the river in our room and it was so calming and relaxing. They also gave us free manjus everyday which was so delicious and touching. The staff were also kind and helpful. There was also free parking and you just have to let them know that you have a car and they will take your keys just in case they have to move it.
Breakfast times and at 9 which was a little bit early for us especially because we were so tired but it was okay.

Staff where lovely, good location when using hakone freepass
Non of the stated facilities where open, private onsen very expensive compared to other local options. Onsen fee added despite not using it and not informed in advance

We liked that it was a traditional Japanese hotel with tatami beds.
Had stayed here 8 years ago and had really liked it but this time around, we found it very run down, nothing had been improved since our last stay hence it was looking very old and in need of some improvements. For the condition it is in, we found it to be too expensive. The town itself has also lost some of it's charm, lots of stores closed down, probably due to Covid, restaurants only open for a few hours of the day. We had trouble finding a place for dinner, which was very disappointing. It is a shame as it was such a quaint and cosy town allowing us to immerse ourselves in the Japanese culture.

Onsen is nice. The staff all speak English very well and are friendly. The breakfast buffet is nice too.
The AC in the room isn't very good, even at the coldest setting the room doesn't get very cool. The AC vent is also very dusty.

Great hotel , we booked a private onsen which was perfect.
beautiful facilities, great breakfast
they had a shuttle that we were told was full and they didn’t couldn’t get us a taxi for the station so we had to walk with my elderly parents

Quiet location. Room is really spacious and clean. Onsen was amazing! Staff was also very friendly. I would like to say that Toan was very polite and helpful. I enquired about the dinner because I assumed that it was to be reserved on the day since Booking.com didn’t give the option to prior to my arrival, but to my horror it was all fully booked and you did have to make a reservation early! Toan, however, managed to slot me into a dinner slot and I couldn’t be anymore grateful! Thank you for completing my ryokan experience, Toan!
It’s abit far from the station if you walk, especially if you have heavy luggages as you have to walk upslope. Best to take a taxi or the shuttle bus if you’re carrying big luggages.

Staff were pleasant and keen to help. Hotel was clean.
Rooms were spacious overall, but given you shouldn't put suitcases on the Tanami mats, the area for suitcases was minimal. Bathroom & toilet were small & cramped. Beds were hard & pillows small & uncomfortable.
