Great view of Giant Steps. Had all the basics. Garage door was broken and the living room furniture is in pretty bad shape but otherwise, it was a decent rental.

Was told our access code early before we arrived. When we got there it did not work. We called many times and kept getting an after hours message and they would get back to us within 24hrs, this does nothing for you when it’s late at night in a state you don’t live in. Called VRBO and they couldn’t help me get in, VRBO said they would call me back and never did. Finally after calling the number 10-15 times in a row someone woke up and was able to remotely open the lock. I was told a new code which didn’t work either.
This is the second time this year I used Vrbo and family time and both times the code that was given did not work. The last time it didn’t take 1.5 hrs to get someone to let me in and the second code worked. I don’t think I would take the chance of using this group ever again. I seriously thought I was sleeping in my car it was around freezing that night so was not happy and still very frustrated

Steer clear of these scammers. If anything is wrong and you need assistance they will not be there to assist you. They will keep putting you off and not respond to your calls or text messages.
Hours prior to me checking into the property I was told that the garage door was broken. We drove seven hours from California and we’re just hearing about this as we were almost to the property. One of the main reasons why I booked this property was the shear fact that my car would be garaged in the freezing cold winter in Brianhead. You know what cold, snowy conditions can do to a car, let alone having to walk outdoors first thing in the morning when it is in the teens. We even ran into a neighbor that lives in the same building and they told us that this unit is constantly being complained about. They also said that the garage door issue was not a new problem. They said that the owners were constantly just putting bandaids on the issues and it seemed like most people renting the unit had one issue or another.
I continually had to take time out of my vacation to call and or text the property manager. Most of the time I wouldn’t get a response and if I did I was told that they would be getting back to me shortly. What a lie. I am still waiting to hear back. The garage never was fixed during our entire stay. We come to Brianhead every year and we will not be making a return visit to this condo and I advise you do the same. Worst customer service ever!

When we arrive we were blown away with the view of the condo. However we were quickly brought back to reality when we noticed that the cleaning wasn’t properly done. Bed sheets were dirt (pillow cover had hair on it). When we pulled the sheets to wash them the mattress topper was disgusting (hair and stains on it). The cutting board was dirty. Other than this the room was spacious and a great location.
Oh, if it snows good luck getting out. We had about 6 inches on the day we were leaving and the plow didn’t go to our side of the condo. So I had to shovel snow for over an hour. I tried calling the # given and the voicemail was full so I couldn’t leave a message - to me that’s unacceptable. Texts went unanswered. Keep that in mind if you’re planning a ski trip

Property was great. Lots of space for our family and it was well-equipped. Very convenient location. The glass and high ceilings made it difficult to keep the downstairs area of the condo warm and it was very cold and snowy outside! The only real downside of this property was the garage. Whoever manages the property onsite never cleared the snow in front of the garage, which made it difficult to park and close the garage door.

We really enjoyed the location of the property.... right across from the ski hill/mountain Brian Head. We LOVED being able to wake up and look out the floor to ceiling windows.... Wow!
The unit was very spacious and well stocked with everything we needed. There were issues that the staff responded to immediately. We would highly recommend staying at the unit!

Issues
We booked this place for its location and online pictures and description. We were very displeased with what we got. The freezer was frozen shut, the fridge didn't work, the jacuzzi tub had a ton of debris/stuff come out of the jets when we turned it on, the Wi-Fi was in and out all weekend, overall unhappy. We paid a price expecting all of these things and we didn't get them. We had to live out of a cooler all weekend because the fridge is broken. The manager unplugged the fridge the first day and the kitchen was flooding because the ice in freezer was melting. We put towels down to soak it up.

Steps away from Skiing
Stayed at this condo for 5 nights. It’s literally right across the street from Giant Steps. Check in to check out went with no big issues. The use of texting or calling the property manager for any issues we had was awesome. Super quick response and action to fix the issues we had. We loved this condo and will definitely stay here again.

Great Brian Head trip.
We’ve stayed in two units at this property and liked this floor plan the best. It only has the partial, slope-facing windows but still a great view and much better use of space. It had everything we needed for a great trip. Our group would book it again without question.

Enjoyable stay but falling short of 5 stars
The Lofts are a beautiful property facing Giant Steps. But this property had a number of minor issues which added up to a fair amount of aggravation overall, although I must give the prop mgmt company kudos for communicating and helping to address quickly. We requested early check-in and instead ended up with delayed check-in. Then there were issues with the front door code which caused us to stand outside for significant portions of time with young kids - And on the flipside (ironically), we were unable to lock the unit or the parking area externally. Wifi went out often, having to be reset daily. The upstairs space is giant but set up in quite an odd manner with a broken table propped to the side and most of the space under-utilized (although the foosball was fun). Other incidental stuff like doorhandles falling off the pantry, light out above the island, broken garage door, etc, should be cared for to get this great property back to its full glory.
This review is not complete b/c I could go off for a few pages about all of things that were GREAT about this space. Amazing location, great views, great space, comfortable decor, well stocked with cookware, etc. So understand that the critiques are assessed against a 5-star criteria since that is the caliber property we are talking about here and this property COULD be 5-stars. Just wasn't quite there during our stay.

Great location!!
We had a rough check in due to the property not being cleaned and ready for hours. However, once we checked in we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The condo is in the best location and the beds were super comfortable.

Pay attention to details!
This unit is accessed after two flights of stairs… Which I didn’t catch in the details. Little bit of a deal lug the luggage up. But once there, it was fine. Condo was great...but was hoping for hot tub.

Convenient stay for Cedar Breaks and Bryce Canyon
We enjoyed our stay here to see Cedar Breaks and Bryce Canyon. We unfortunately did not receive our check-in information or the front door instructions until I contacted them, but they were always quick to respond to texts. A very convenient location to visit Cedar Breaks and Bryce Canyon for the day. Clean and comfortable place to stay. The game table in the loft was unfortunately broken and unusable and the TVs are mounted a bit too high (felt like I had to crane my neck to watch), but otherwise we enjoyed our stay. Please note that Brian Head is a tiny town and there are only 2 small general stores with limited produce and only 1 restaurant open for dinner on Monday and Tuesday, so bring food if you are able to.

This is a very nice place. I specifically enjoyed the views out the large picture windows.
We were here in the summer and the weather was perfect, the condo was very well equipped and had beautiful views. We were very comfortable and didn't have any problems. There are a lot of stairs both to get to the condo and then in the condo itself. For most people this wouldn't be a problem but having two children with mobility issues it was a bit challenging. Fortunately they didn't want to leave to go out and do stuff unless we forced them to so they spent most of their time inside.

Great times in the Magic Carpet.
Awesome place, well stocked, very cleanand we will definitely like to stay here again. The only problem we had was all the snow blocking the garage. We were asked to park in the garage and we did, but after a big snow and all the snow fell off the roof we bottomed out on the snow ice mound. The owners of course cannot control the weather, but a backup plan would be good.

Perfect Set Up
We have typically rented cabins when we have been to Brianhead, but there were none available when I we tried to rent. This condo was amazing. We loved it. The convenience of having it across the street from the lift and shuttle meant everyone could come and go as they pleased, we didn't have to wait for everyone to be done at the same time. The foosball was unexpected fun. It was large enough that the 5 of us never felt crowded. Had everything we needed. Great views. We will likely rent again.

Excellent Location and a great price!
There was more than enough space for eight people to sleep and be comfortable. Nice base between Zion and Bryce Canyon.

Thank you
Excellent value and our group of 7 was thoroughly impressed. Drive about 5-10 minutes out of town for a great night sky. You can also jump over a van on a mountain bike (if you can find it).
* Kitchen was well equipped. Layout is spacious and updated.
The property manager was professional, prompt, and accurate.
We'll stay again if returning to the area.

Awesome!!!
Loved it! My biggest thing is if a place is clean and updated. I don't want to stay somewhere that's not home and feel grossed out. We loved this place -- it was clean, had lots of space and a fabulous location! And TV, wifi, room for the kids, and a washer/dryer! Would def stay here again!

Water Heater Problems
We had no hot water the first day, then had to re-light the pilot light 30 minutes before we wanted hot water for anything because the pilot light would not stay lit. I contacted management to ask about possibly some concessions on our fees for our stay but to date have not heard anything. For the cost of three nights I would have expected better communication. I found out also that they had worked on the water heater the day before we arrived but we still had our issues. Disappointed is all I can say as far as customer service is concerned.
The water heater issues aside the property was clean, well stocked and the view was awesome. The proximity to the slopes was a huge positive and I loved sitting in front of the fire looking at the resort/slopes. While the driveways were plowed we had to shovel to get into the garages.

Wonderful Holiday stay!
Wonderful holiday stay in this new, spacious, and clean place. We had one issue with the water heater, we called and it was fixed with in 3 hours on Christmas Day.

Super comfortable and roomy with excellent property management
Our family of 6 stayed at Magic Carpet from March 19-24, 2016, Spring Break. The unit had all the comforts of home - fully stocked kitchen, linens for all pullouts. And Lisa, the property manager, was very attentive and helpful when we were snowed in and needed the driveway plowed. We were very comfortable staying home and cooking most nights.
The property was very clean and very well maintained. We did have to alternate hot showers, as the first night, after one hot shower, the remaining 5 of us took very quick lukewarm to cold showers. But, once we got a routine going with a shower every hour and half to give the hot water time to replenish, it worked out fine.
The only drawback to this unit is that there are 34 stairs to climb (yes, we counted!) from the garage to the front door, with no elevator. So, luggage and groceries were not easy. We were also not used to the altitude, so we had difficulty breathing after just 4 steps - imagine 34, plus another flight to the 2nd floor master bedroom. And, after a full day of skiing, it took all we had to make it to the top landing.
I would also invest in a humidifier, as the cold winter Utah air is very dry. I would have bought one in town and left it for the owners and future renters, if either of the two General Stores would have carried them. I guess this is only an issue for folks from humid climates, like us.
But, overall, I gave this property and its management team 5 stars. We loved the unit and the view was amazing. Especially during the snowfall. Absolutely breathtaking. I would certainly recommend this property to anyone interested in staying in the area.
Thank you to Matthew & Lisa for your quick responses and assistance!

Very good, nearly perfect ski condo
My family (wife and kids 4 & 6) and I had a wonderful spring break 2016 (March 2016) skiing in Brian Head. The condo is perfectly located just across the street from the Giant Steps ski lodge which is perfect if you can ski blues and blacks...for the kids ski school and the easier runs you have to drive about 0.5 miles down the street, no big deal. And the best restaurant in town (Piasos Pizza) is also just across the street.
The condo is very well stocked with nearly all the kitchen and bath items needed. We stopped on the way to town for groceries and picked up paper towels, toilet paper and dish and laundry soap, but didn't need any of that as it was supplied by the owners. The beds were all WONDERFUL and comfy...my guess is they were all Temperpiedics memory foam mattresses...great after a long day skiing.
Our only negatives are small items, but did add up to a little frustration over the 6 days. If I could, I'd give the condo 4.5 stars rating I would. The small problems were - the Thermostat must have been on a program which I was unable to change...I could only update the current temp but then the program would take over a few hours later and revert back to 55 degrees at night...most nights I woke up freezing and so did the kids. I understand the need for the owners to have their own stuff locked away, but when bringing a weeks worth of food, having access to the pantry would have been nice. Maybe the owners could lock up their stuff in the closet under the stairs and leave the pantry to guests. For us the split bedrooms (one upstairs one downstairs) was also a problem...having the young kids sleeping on a separate floor from us caused some anxiety, probably works great for older kids. The only other big problem I can't take away stars for, as it was not advertised to have it.....but looking at the hot tub on the balcony got us all excited only to be let down when it was not filled and useable. That would have been a nice perk after the days of skiing.
I would recommend this condo. We plan to come back here again in the future.
