Nothing, they lied about aircon, tired, dirty and rude staff.
The hotel has entered administration.
We went to our room to be hit with hot air and curtains drawn , also 2 fans working overtime.
Approached reception to see if we could move rooms, after half an hour of back and forth, they lied about the air con not working. ‘I didn’t say it was working and I didn’t say it wasn’t’ was the response after we challenged and were told they could reset it using the main panel. False, the aircon hasn’t been working for months.
The Manager hid the entire time behind a staff member. Tried to offer a 15% refund until we said we wanted to leave before we’ve even unpacked.
Stop taking peoples money.

Location was fab. Smells lovely as you walk in.
No one on reception. Had to wait and knock on door.
Room was not worth the money. Very tired and shabby for the price we paid.
No towels or cloths to wipe water off outdoor balcony furniture. Room
Needs updating and painting.
Not by any means a 4*

Location
Dated room and furniture.
Horrific smelling and over strong air freshers used
King size room was just two singles pushed together, so dropped in between.
Breakfast was served using the worst cheapest sausages, thin tasteless black pudding, served only half a mushroom, no option for toast.

Lovely rooms. Perfect location for where we needed to go.
Finding it was so awkward and time consuming! You have clear directions at all. Your postcode and details send you to an underground parking place for long term residents!

The TV did not work in the room that I had booked and so we got a complimentary upgrade which we were very pleased with as I wanted to get my moneys worth. Great time
Just ensure all the TVs work before guests book them

Excellent hotel great place to stay and in a great spot for the xmas market and shopping. Clean and tidy room and comfy bed. The Staff were very helpful.
The room was very dark the lighting was terrible especially as the wife couldn't plug her hair dryer in the bathroom and that had brilliant light.

Clean, modern, comfortable & good location. Great room with a huge balcony overlooking the city. Little card, cookies and 2 drinks vouchers left in the room for my partners birthday! Much appreciated! Would definitely stay again.
Lamp in the room was broken next to the dressing table, we didn’t use it so didn’t bother us. The bed frame was also very squeaky even if you made the slightest movement so only thing we would change.

Great breakfast
Great cocktails!

The hotel location itself is absolutely amazing! You have everything on your doorstep!
The views in the room we stayed in were also spectacular we had a panoramic view of the city and a lovely balcony!
The rooms could be so much more. For the price we paid I would expect a little more. They were quite dated, the walls had marks all over them and the blind in the bathroom was broken and crumpled up on the floor. The windows were dirty and we found bits of food on the floor. The mattress was also very springy! However you cannot beat the view of the city and the location was superb!

great location on the side of the canal, about a 20 min walk into town. The team were great and considerate about the heat, gave us a fan for the room and were always on hand for help.

Nice rooftop bar. Waitress in training very nice but was obvious that she had no support from other staff. Room clean.
Front desk staff not very helpful for information on our stay or facilities etc. Shower handle fell off when turning on. Staff rude to other customers when they complained about no air con.

Perfect location, nearby Symphony Hall. Nice Views. Great Breakfast. Staff handled air con issue really well and offered discount.
A little tired, would benefit from some refurbishment.

Location, stylish
Airton did not work I my room, but staff moved me to another room. Of course being able to open a window would have been preferable.

it was quirky and loved the fact we had a variety of bars/restaurants on our door step!

Location is good because everything you need is around you.
We have a problem with shower in the night was very hot in the morning it was cold. So I didn't enjoy all my showers 😕
3.8
the bedding was stained and mattress sunken so we rolled into each other. the bed in a hotel is supposed to be comfortable as a minimum requirement from a hotel especially a 4 star hotel.
we were given a room directly under a private party which went on passed 1am with the clearing up. we may have been at the party, the room was vibrating with the dancing and music above our heads. it was so loud! The manager didn't inform us of the party and if he had I would have not drunk alcohol that evening and gone home.
dirty bedding , sunken old mattress and noise level

the noise from the restaurant.

I really enjoyed the easy access to the restaurant which provided delicious food at a high but suitable price, also the view from our room was amazing, allowing us to see a large amount of the city
The lifts sometimes “acted up” as when we selected our wanted floor we would be taken to a completely different one which would lead to confusion and was very inconvenient at times

great location
lovely bar and restaurant
reception area not great
heating in room didnt work which they already knew about but still put us in there
service in restaurant sunday morn very poor

The location & views are probably the best thing about hotel. Bar staff were friendly but under staffed. tried room service to get a drink in the room getting ready- it was £5 tray charge plus 45 minute wait!
Very disappointed with hotel and over all service. It is a stretch being classed as a hotel- it is more like a serviced room. The breakfast is not worth it and was way below standard; seemed very chaotic and no structure to it. For example- dirty tables, waiting 10 minutes to be seated, no menus, no milk, make own tea & coffee plus hot breakfast was cold- definitely not what we expected from a MPW restaurant. Toilets were dirty - no hand wash and shower gel was being used in its place.
