it’s nice and clean.
situation is great.
staff was really nice and friendly.
Nothing good earplugs won’t fix but it was a bit noisy, it’s not very well insulated so I could hear tv from my neighbors, the machinery from the pool (I think that what is was) and a really noisy family in the pool until late at night.

Gorgeous building, perfect location, friendly staff, air con/fan and a nice garden in the centre of all the rooms.
Bed was a little small for 2 - was also a little bit noisy (but it was Holy Week! And nothing earplugs couldn't solve)

The hotel is walking distance from the museums, the markets, the city centre. The cafe right next door sells coffee and drinks and food - great for breakfast or an evening cocktail. The hotel is an old colonial-style building around two gorgeously colourful patios, one shady with tables. The roof terrace is lovely, with plenty of seating and great views of the city and the mountains. There’s even a hummingbird. The rooms are spotless and secure, the staff couldn’t be pleasanter or more helpful, Reception is manned 24/7, there’s clean drinking water available in the patios.
Because the rooms are off the central patio, and despite the notices up asking for quiet after 21.30, some other residents were occasionally noisy. Maybe Reception needs to do more to remind them not to disturb others.

location is good
we got a room right next to the reception. SUPER noisy, shall windows, stuffy air. the hotel is big and there were many free rooms, such a shame to the stuff that we got this terrible room. even tho on booking there’s a breakfast option, it’s actually a cafe nearby, not part of the hotel. the room is shabby and old. absolutely terrible experience!

Location to the square
Garden could have been less cluttered.

Location was great and within walking distance to main plaza.
Safe area to walk and close to restaurants and shopping.
The “Go home gringo” graffiti just outside main entrance of the hotel.
Use of free bicycles were advertised and I had given staff a message long before our stay that we were interested in using them but they had flat tires. They did have them fixed but not until the last day of our 5 day trip stay so we had made other plans when we recognized it was happening anytime soon.

Great central location. Attractive building and outdoor spaces. Great front desk.
The group tour they recommend for Monte Alban was disappointing. I would urge visitors who want to get to Monte Alban to find a different service, or just take a cab up there and spend much of the day with your own guide.
Also, the room, and I suspect all the rooms, are very noisy. The street out front is just roaring with traffic. the hotel leaves the large front doors of the courtyard open, and the noise just overwhelms the space.

This is a modest hotel and the accommodation is modest. But the staff are exceptional, the location is terrific and the hotel is very clean.

Central location.
Location is the redeeming quality of this hotel. Other than that, I think it's overpriced in comparison to other hotels I stayed at in Mexico. The service is subpar and the room is not remarkable. Water pressure on the 2nd floor is weak. If you want a quiet stay, look elsewhere.

old building with old plumbing can cause problems

It was bed only, but I had an amazing avocado toast & egg in their associated cafe.
Getting luggage upstairs. Only stairs (no lift) to first floor.

The Location is great. It's in the centre of the town but still quiet. The yard is really beautiful and inviting. There is a nice caffe right at the hotel Which is very convenient.
The room are pretty small with a really tiny window. Not ideal for claustrophobics.
We asked to do a late check out since our flight was leaving at 7 pm and they charged us 300 pesos for that. In other hotels in our travel they aloud it for free if the room was free.

The roof terrace and colorful patios were great! Moreover the location was nice, as it was in the middle of the city and there was not too much noise at night. You could easily walk throughout the city during day and night, never felt unsafe. The room was basic with a big bed and air-conditioning and the staff was friendly and offered us laundry service, very much appreciated. :)
The shower head was not the best; sometimes there was very little water and we also had two or three days with cold water. Besides that it was a pity we could not use the kitchen as mentioned on Booking, but no worries. All in all a lovely stay!

Excellent location in the centre of Oaxaca.
Colourful hotel with a nice Mexican vibe.
The staff was very friendly.
The room was very spacious, and clean. Very comfortable the bed and pillows. Cleaning was done every day.
It would be nice to have some option for early breakfast in the hotel.

Beautiful hotel with a great roof terrace at a central location in Oaxaca. Friendly staff.
Not soundproof at all so you wake up quite early. Difficult to cool down the room since the window is small. However, nice that they provide a ventilator.

I loved the lush patio area for eating meals. It was so pleasant listening to the fountain and the birds. The location was perfect; it was very central and easy to get everywhere. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom and shower were clean and perfect for me.

Excellent location. Wonderful staff, very friendly and helpful. Pleasant patio gardens. Comfy room. Surprisingly good wifi. Free coffee in the mornings (a HUGE plus for me!). Excellent value!
Hot water could have been just a bit hotter. Minor quibble…

As a solo female traveler, I couldn't have been more happy about the location. Very central, so I felt very safe going out (which is not the same everywhere in Oaxaca City). The bed was big enough to fit 3 people, so that was nice as well. The posada looks very cute, and the terrace is a nice bonus.
The only thing that would make the stay better is if the terrace would be accessible in the evening and at night.

Excellent location steps from the main square/zocalo. Very well-run guesthouse: beautiful courtyards and roof patio, clean, quiet, safe. Very comfortable mattress and pillows. I will gladly stay here again when in Oaxaca City.

Building is lovely with lovely views. Rooms are serviceable and clean and comfortable. A lot depends on your neighbors but the hotel itself is great

Beautiful property and very nice rooms.
The AC unit didn’t seem to work and it was on so it was warm in the room. The property is between buildings so there were no windows
