Large rooms divided in different ambients according the tradition. Onsen not too much crowded and the rooftop ofuro was very suggestive. Super kind staff always ready to satisfy customers requests.
Old building that needs an urgent reformation. Too many stairs and mono thematic restaurants

Staff there lies in the face. When I asked about the operational hours of sauna, I was told it was open until 9.30 am. When I arrived at 8.50 it was already turned off but still warm. When I asked again, when did sauna closed, the same staff told me it had in fact been shut down for the last two years.
The bathroom in the room was nice and clean but running only cold water.

Beautiful onsen hotel for a quick escape from Tokyo. The hotel offered an easy shuttle from the train station and the staff were so kind and welcoming. The evening meal was delicious and the multiple onsens were perfect (especially the rooftop!) I splurged for a Qoomo room with the daybed and balcony that felt spacious and well worth it for the view. Wifi and Nescafe coffee maker were also up to standard.

Great selection of onsens, clean and well-maintained.
Rooftop bath was quite fun.
Great view from the room.
Short walk to the station if you don't mind the stairs.
Incredibly helpful staff.
Beds and pillows were a bit rough but this is of course a matter of personal preference.
Parts of the room don't have AC and get quite hot during the day.

onsen/natural hotspring was awesome. me and my husband reserved private onsen we enjoyed so much. there are lot of choices of onsen. out-door bath, out-door foot bath, large communal bath. umi iro & sora iro. we also like free shuttle bus from izu atagawa station to/ from hotel station. the room is spacious with a very nice view, mountain and the sea. Highly recommended for those onsen lovers & nature lovers!!!

The hotel is close to the Izu-Atagawa station and provides a shuttle to and from the station. There is also a Family Mart convenience store across the street from the hotel. We did have breakfast at the hotel. It was a traditional Japanese breakfast with several small dishes of fish, rice, vegetables, and hot green tea. The hotel itself is very clean and has great views of the ocean. They provide both western style rooms (with beds) and Japanese-style rooms (with tatami mats). Our favorite part of they whole stay was the onsen. They have several baths grouped into 3 areas. The areas alternate between men and women. This was our first onsen experience and I thought I would be uncomfortable but the space is very well done and scenic and the other guest mind their own business so we were able to relax pretty easily. Overall we had a good stay. We speak limited Japanese but the staff were able to fill in the blanks with some English.
I wish Booking had more information about the hotel when booking. It would have been nice to know that the hotel provided a shuttle and that meals had to be reserved in advance.
