4.3
Immaculate new building, unbeatable treatment, great thermal baths. We would definitely repeat.
4.3
Traditional Japanese, comfortable accommodation. Great staff, breakfast and Onsen facilities.
4.3

Loved that it was authentic Japanese and the onsen facilities were amazing. So clean and water was very clear. Beautiful rooms and lovely helpful staff. After being in Tokyo it was a treat to be in such a spacious room
Pillows were average but not great

все понравилось. расположение-недалеко от станции, пешком минут 10-15. есть несколько Онсен, что было очень удобно и комфортно. завтраки очень вкусные и эстетичные.

I loved everything about this place. From the moment you turn the corner from the main road, you are transported to a new world. Everything is so personalized. When I arrived, the owner gave me a detailed orientation about the facilities and my room. My room was beautiful and immaculate. There is a complimentary coffee machine in the lounge that is open during certain parts of the day that I visited frequently. The open air hot spring was amazing. I loved the stay so much, I was trying to book another stay while still at the Ryokan. The breakfast was also amazing. It was seafood themed.
Nothing.

Very nice old house, very nicely decorated room.
The road nearby is noisy (lots of traffic), the bed cover was too hot for the season.
4.3
Everything was incredible from the view to the food to the amenities.

It's an amazing place,
- Many options for onsen, private, indoor and tow outdoor, one open all night.
- Stable wifi (but I didn't test the speed directly)
- Decent breakfast (it was more continental though for those looking for more traditional).
- perfect blend of old and new style, rooms felt more traditional, but had modern comforts in most (the larger room didn't have built in bathroom, but shared bathroom was next to it, the smaller room had a toilet built in). Yukatas and traditional footwear provided during the stay
- some rooms didn't have a toilet and only had shared. (No rooms we used had showers, but they aren't needed cause you shower at the onsen areas).

Breakfast + onsen

the room was very cute and super spacious, the hot springs are beautiful and it just felt like being in a ghilbi anime
it would have been nice to have a full Japanese breakfast
4.3
extremely cosy and yet exudes rustic feel at the same time ! reviews weren’t joking when it comes to the place looking like something out of a Ghibli film! toilets though shared were kept extremely clean , dry and with fragrance . Really thumbs up for this . also the hot spring baths were free to use even though I had tattoos ! keep up the good standard Kansuiro!
if dinner meals could be included it would be good as the nearest place to get food is way back at Hakone Yumoto station .
4.3
Very cool property, well presented and clean. Staff was friendly and breakfast plentiful.
Outdoor and indoor onsens were available.
They provide just 1 bath towel per person, so if you use it for the onsen and need one for shower you need to pay as they don’t give you an extra one.
4.3
I love the little open air Onsen, the traditional structure of the building, and the delicate breakfast! The location is convenient as most of the buses will pass by. The service of the reception is good and with patience. Thank you.
the shower room is not in the room, it’s at 2nd floor for ladies. the room only has toilet and a basin. it’s a little inconvenient for me as I am a little bit clumsy.

Absolutely beautiful property. The surrounding area was fun to walk around and explore. I loved that the hot springs were available for me to use even though I have many tattoos. The open air onsen in the main building was something out of a movie, it was amazing. Their breakfast was the best breakfast I had while visiting in Japan, and they even made it vegetarian for us, which I couldn’t find at many other places. Overall my favorite stay in a 2 week trip to Japan.
The annex is an older historical building so the insulation is a bit thin, as the other reviews mentioned, but I brought my own ear plugs and never had an issue with it. If someone is a light sleeper they may be troubled, but I personally didn’t mind it.

A magical hide away in the mountains near Hakone. Small ryokan means not a lot of commotion, easy and in other access to the open air baths, and a great all around experience. Be warned, restaurants in the area close early so plan accordingly but an escape from the hustle and bustle of the city is exactly what is needed!
Nothing!

very clean and well designed. Very traditional yet with a chic modern touch. everyone is friendly there. they let me check in late , after 9pm you will need to check in at the main building which is fine. They are very prompt in response. One of the best ryokan experiences I have ever had. thank you!

Delightful small inn with the most amazing staff who went above and beyond. Even helped me fix my tripod. The outdoor onsen was amazing and with such a small number of rooms high chance of getting it to yourself. The quality of the food at the restaurant was fantastic, only problem I had was there was too much food for breakfast.
Bed was a little firmer then I prefer.
4.3
good design, lovely staff, fair breakfast but need more meat or fish. comfort temperature and humidity
not en-suite room has only toilet. so you need to go showering at onsen or shower room. no hot water in the room doesn’t work.
4.3
the surrounding nature and the room.
the fact that it’s on a very busy road; a bit overpriced for what you are getting
4.3
very good traditional style place, traditional decor, traditional costumes for guests
warming system its not so good, noise coming from the street
4.3
the breakfast taste good, can try different Japanese style dishes
no lift, beware of heavy luggage
4.3
everybody at the ryokan was super nice and ready to help, really liked the welcome drink 😁 the room and the ryokan gave me the feeling to be in a studio Ghibli movie, cozy and dreamy. will definitely recommend and come back

Beautiful, old, authentic Japanese buildings. the onsen were clean and inviting and the staff tried very hard, with limited English. it was a short and picturesque walk into Hakone where there is a great mix of shops and restaurants.
The extremely uncomfortable pillows and the bizarre breakfast. While everything else about the place was traditionally Japanese, the breakfast was a strange mix of Italian and Asian, including a bowl of minestrone soup, which seemed completely out of context, even allowing for the fact that their restaurant was Italian. Our room also faced the street and the traffic noise was considerable, particularly on then Saturday.
4.3
It was close to a pretty small town and right in front of a bus station that can take you down to the Hakone Shrine or the main train station of Odawara.
And not only was it very convenient, but also very beautiful and relaxing. I had free entrance to the whole main Onsen building that had 4 different types of hot springs that accommodate families and tattoos if you’d like to reserve for that manner, otherwise just walk in if your alone!
if you also like hiking, it’s such a perfect location for many hikes around japanese nature. it’s such a nice area. I totally recommend it
nothing! it was great.

The hot bath is super private love it
4.3
renovated traditional building which is kept clean.
the onsen was so nice.
the service was enough.
the onsen is closed at 21:00.
the dinner was Italian (taste was good but I expected something Japanese)
4.3
Breakfast was limited only because I am gluten free. They did their best. Also a nice gesture of offering a welcome drink. I liked the outside Olsen.
