About this cabin rental
**The home was spared from Hurricane Helene, only losing power for a few days. The views and immedate area are BEAUTIFUL so if you are looking for a quiet serene setting relaxing on the decks and looking at the best views anywhere around, this is for you! Chimney Rock Village was damaged significantly and will take a while to come back, but there are a few restaurants open and the roads in are fine if you come from the east or the south. Please write for more details, but we hope you choose us and help us all get Lake Lure back up on it's feet and reclaim itself as one of the most beautiful places in America!
Location is everything and this stunning log cabin doesn't disappoint! Sweeping mountain views abound in this outstanding luxuriously furnished log home! 3 Huge decks (one on each level) showcase the spectacular Chimney Rock Mountains. Sit on the deck and enjoy the view, barbecue some steaks for dinner, or relax in the 7-person hot tub! In the home enjoy a spacious, fully stocked and beautifully furnished 2600 square foot 3 bedroom home on three levels. The kitchen is well stocked with all you need for a large dinner complete with new (March 2020) appliances. After diner, adjourn to the upper level and play games with the kids, shoot a game of pool, or watch a movie on the large screen TV. Go for a walk around our neighborhood and marvel at the woods and enjoy the serenity of only 12 homes on a 1.4 mile loop. When you return home, head back in, or instead retreat to the back yard and sit by the firepit and cook some s'mores! Really, options for fun and relaxation are EVERYWHERE!
Each of the 3 bedrooms has a queen bed with new "lodge" decor linens. Each spacious room easily has room for an air mattress for additional sleeping if needed. If not, each room is set up for reading a great book or writing in your journal. Views abound from all rooms in the home.

We also have a Pontoon Boat that is available to rent exclusively for guests of Tree Top Lodge (Rental fees are extra. please inquire if interested). The boat is a 2020 Suntracker 20 Party Barge and is located at the Lake Marina only 1.2 miles from the home. It's a great boat and easy to operate. Seeing incredible Lake Lure by water is second to none, not to mentioned great swimming and fishing opportunities for the family. (note - tubing is not allowed on Lake Lure)

The house is ideally located up the hill from Lake Lure beach and Washburn Marina, just a few minutes away from Chimney Rock State Park entrance. Also close by a large grocery store and several restaurants. The large back decks (three!) all had gorgeous views of Rumbling Bald. The billiard table and hot tub made for lots of fun times! Communication with the homeowner was excellent - great at sharing information, and responsive when I had a question. We rented the owner's pontoon boat for a day on the lake and highly recommend that: the boat is in excellent condition, easy to operate, and was a great way to spend the day. The house was amply supplied with consumables (paper towels, dishwasher tablets, etc.) and the interior very clean on arrival. The exterior areas had to be cleared of bug droppings and spider webs - but mosquitos were never an issue when we sat out in the evenings.
One oddity to be aware of: the master bedroom on the main level shared that floor with the kitchen, dining area, and a sitting area but has a translucent pocket door: any early to bed types should be aware that light/sound comes into that room (and maybe opt to take the basement room, which was isolated from shared areas and had its own deck).

This home has majestic views that will relax you. The home is roomy and has everything you need to enjoy your stay..there really isnt anything negative to stay. There is alot to do in the area and delicious restaurants. I hope i get to return.

We really enjoyed our stay at the treetop cabin. It was quiet and peaceful. Lots of space for everyone to unwind. Hot tub was great although the incessant heat kept us from using it a lot. We also rented the pontoon boat which the entire family loved! Would recommend to anyone who is looking for an awesome getaway. Fast communication with the owners who were extremely helpful. Would stay here again!!!

This is our second time staying here! The cabin is beautifully situated and in an ideal location with a lot to be able to do near by. The boat is an awesome feature to which we were able to get quite a bit of use out of it. Overall, the cabin is very spacious and the hosts are so nice and easy to get ahold of, if needed. My only negative is that I noticed that it was a bit dirtier than the first time around. We noted dog hair all over all of the couches and such and some of the light fixtures looked as if they had never been wiped, other than that, it was wonderful!

This was the most convenient location for getting to Lake Lure or Chimney Rock and only an 8 minute drive to the grocery store. Beautiful mountain view without having to drive a long way up a mountain. I would definitely stay here again next time coming to this area.

Beautiful views, clean, provided plenty essentials! Absolutely amazing stay :) The only thing I will note is that you can hear everything through the floors so it wasn't feasible to enjoy the pool table while the toddler was sleeping, but definitely somewhere I would stay again!

This was a second year staying at this lovely cabin. It was absolutely perfect for a party of 8, with everyone having their own floor making it private for everyone. It is such a comfortable and clean place with amazing views from all three decks. The town of Lake Lure is so quaint and so much to do and see. Easy check in and responsive host! We will definitely be back. Don’t hesitate to book here!

Cabin was beautiful and the view was breathtaking. Sean was super nice with ALL communication. Unlike the last cabin we stayed at, the pictures were exactly what we had when we arrived. Same furniture etc. No hidden surprises. The cleaning crew was still there when we arrived to check in at 4:20 pm and we had to wait on them. That was aggravating but nothing we would write home about. lol Not the owner's fault. We had a great time, and the cabin was exactly as described but I can't say enough about the view! Did I mention how beautiful it was? Lovely indeed!

WOW! The home and each room were better than the pictures we saw when choosing our vacation home. It was so comfortable to gather as a family to hang out on one of the decks, to play games together, and eat together. The bedrooms gave each of us privacy. We loved it. What a great space. Getting around was very convenient too. Loved playing pool and hanging out upstairs! Used the hot tub every night. Wonderful view each morning and great star gazing at night.

Beautiful home and as advertised! The kids enjoyed the pool table, hot tub, fire pit, and seating area around the TV in the entertainment room. The views will not disappoint and in a secluded area to enjoy nature. The pontoon boat was a blast at lake lure! Kids enjoyed the tube as the boat pulled them up and down the lake! House is close to Chimney Rock (5 minute drive) and about 45 minutes to Asheville. Sean was great, quick to respond and very pleasant. We would definitely stay again.

This well appointed house was comfortable and in a great location. While not on the lake, having access to the pontoon boat ready to go at the marina was the best! We took it out everyday except for one when we went kayaking on the Green River. Lake Lure is small compared to other lakes we have visited but still found it peaceful and clean. Find the rope swing in one of the coves if you can! We also used the hot tub and pool table most days. Enjoyed hiking at Chimney Rock and even morning walks through the neighborhood loop. The house had plenty of room for our family and all of the beds were comfortable. Would stay again.

This property was exactly as described. Clean, stocked full of amenities, and great location. The hosts communicated in a timely manner and we especially liked that there was a guide book and suggestions for things to do in the area. The view of the mountains from the back deck is breathtaking. We stayed here with our 3 boys (ages 11, 16, and 19) and the layout was perfect. We thoroughly enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub in the evenings after spending our days hiking and exploring downtown Asheville. The hammock on top deck is a perfect spot to read and nap while enjoying the scenic view. This was our first visit to Lake Lure and we found some fantastic restaurants and shopping in the quaint village near Chimney Rock. My husband and I had the best meal we’ve had in a long time at the Highlands Kitchen and Grill and we also enjoyed pizza from La Strada. The kitchen was well appointed for us to cook several of our own meals and the grocery store is only a 15 minute drive from the property. Our family agreed that we have found our perfect mountain vacation spot and we will be back!

The home was a beautiful mountain home! The three floors- each with a private bathroom and balcony made it perfect for 3 adult couples to be together, yet maintain privacy. The common areas were comfortable and had gorgeous views!
We enjoyed the hot tub, fire pit, and just relaxing on the decks after hiking.
The proximity to Chimney Rock village and the lake was perfect. We had mountain privacy without being far from town.

Location was beautiful. It was nice staying in the cabin. I do believe the property would benefit in a new cleaning company. The sheets upstairs had hairs on them, the downstairs shower had hair and a used washcloth, under the bed on the second floor there was torn up tissue, and there were cobwebs around the house. The kitchen was stocked with some supplies, but the pots and pans showed great usage. A deep cleaning along with organization of kitchen items would greatly improve repeat visitors.

Perfect cabin
This cabin was perfect for our adult family of five. The mountain views are amazing and regardless of weather, does not disappoint. The cabin was the most well equipped and well appointed we have ever rented, and we’ve used VRBO for many years. Having the fabulous porches, hot tub, fire pit and pool table provided tons of entertainment without leaving the cabin. Also, having bedrooms and on suite bathrooms on separate floors provided so much privacy. We highly recommend this rental and will be back.

Perfect for our vacation --get the boat!
We loved this property. The house is exactly as it is in the images and there are little touches that make this place rise above the others. Each teen took a different floor with their friend and my husband and I took the bedroom on the main floor, so we each had our own space. The views were wonderful from the back deck and I had my tea there every morning and went in the hot tub each night. The kitchen and house was fully stocked and I cooked most meals there and did laundry after the rock mining we did on the trip. The house is located on a quiet street and neighborhood, at least at the time of year we went, which was the week prior to the official season (the beach didn't open daily until the weekend we left). The best part was renting the pontoon boat for the week; it just made our vacation. The boys fished, swam from the boat, tubed, and we went to lunch at the Lake House (taking the boat) one day. My only suggestions would be a light in the master shower (light is in rest of room so pretty dark at night) and blinds on the deck side of the master bedroom. I didn't mind the light waking me up as much as the teens in the hot tub as we were trying to go to bed... Even so, I would not hesitate to book this place again.

Great views and location, but lacking luxury
The property delivered on the views and tranquility. But overall it was a bit tatty. I had to spend hours cleaning the decks so we could enjoy them and still did not get rid of all the spider webs. Several closet and utility doors were missing or broken. The entire space needed a deep clean as there was plentiful dust and spiderwebs inside and out. I get that we were in pollen season, but the decks should have been rinsed before we arrived.
The location was great! Wonderful views of the mountains and easy to get to the town and restaurants of Lake Lure and Chimney Rock. It was very quiet and peaceful on the decks. The kitchen had everything we needed. The wifi worked well and there was even an ironing board and iron along with washer and dryer.
We enjoyed our stay but the property was just not a well-kept as it could/should have been for the price we paid.

Our family had a wonderful time at Tree Top Lodge. The mountain views are beautiful. It is truly a peaceful place to relax and unwind. Our daughter loved learning to playing pool and having a bonfire. This cabin has something to offer all who stays.

Fabulous spot
Stayed here for a long weekend and absolutely loved the home. All three decks have access to one of the bedrooms and the back yard is amazing for dogs to run in. The road leading up to the house is not too steep to access with a 2WD and the view is gorgeous. Would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone!

The outside of the property was littered with Solo cups cigarette buds an empty beer cans. My wife and three boys went for a getaway the bedrooms are split up one on each floor and what appears to be the master bedroom has a full-size bed no queen or king beds available. The main bedroom is not shut off from the rest of the house for privacy. There were dead bugs in the windowsills all in all not a great experience we actually stayed one night and moved to a hotel.
