This beach property is a wonderful place for a family to gather and have fun! It is larger than it looks, with 4 bedrooms and many beds, including 2 bunkbeds in one room. There are essentially 2 living rooms, and a dining room that also has couches in it, which also doubles as a nice gathering spot. Also a sunporch! One of the living rooms looks out at the water that sits on the other side of the street--a beautiful view! There was ample room to gather but also many spaces to enjoy away from the group. There is also a huge patio with outdoor furniture for those who would want to barbecue or eat al fresco. The decor was pleasantly beachy with pretty aquamarine colors in some rooms. The kitchen was well-equipped and easy to cook in.
The upstairs bedroom is lovely with panoramic window ocean views and a little outdoor deck. It was great, but would be even greater with an ensuite bathroom, which is apparently planned in the future.
My suggestions for a few improvements would be: make sure all table lamps have lightbulbs; repair a couple of overhead light fixtures in one of the baths; and address the problem of garbage in the garage that seemed to be attracting flies. And I wish the TVs had access to all major networks. These were minor issues that did not affect our overall very pleasant stay, but if addressed would bring the experience up to an even higher notch.
Many thanks to the owners for affording us a very happy family vacation! Martha from NH, 09/24

Great home. Clean and well stocked. Easy communication with our host. We would definitely stay in this property again. Relatives who visited enjoyed the home and yard. Perfect for our family.

This was a lovely and spacious house that was a quick walk to the beach. The owner was very responsive and checked in on us during our stay. There were plenty of sleeping options for our young kids. They enjoyed sleeping together in the double bunk bed room and playing on the backyard swingset. Even though we brought everything we needed, we were happily surprised to see the house had a spices, coffee, condiments, and most pantry staples stocked. The view from the upstairs primary bedroom was gorgeous. The only drawback was that the house doesn't have air conditioning, which was tough during our July/August stay. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. Thank you!

The house was exactly as advertised - a family-friendly cottage with spectacular ocean views. The amount of wildlife we say was truly astounding.

The stay was wonderful. Dave was very helpful throughout our stay. The house was exactly as listed. I have no complaints. I would stay here again. If you do visit with young toddlers it may be helpful to bring baby gates. The house has steps and levels throughout. But there were doors that you could close that help keep children contained to one area of the house.
Thanks for a great stay Dave! I hope to come again.

Very nice location for a friends or family get together. This is a nice, quiet location if you just want to relax.
We had 5 friends staying and it was prefect. 4 bedrooms, with multiple beds in two rooms for kids if you have them.
The communication with the owner was excellent. I had a couple of questions, and within minutes, they responded.
Nice view of the water with a small deck on the front of the house. Only minutes from the beach.
The beds were good and there was a lot of space for everyone.
We would definitely stay here again!
This location is a little remote. If you’re looking to eat out or do Door-dash(or something similar) there are some options, but they are not super close. The closest place (pizza) is about 10 minutes away.
The Four Corners Grille is worth a stop for dinner if you have the time. Nice little restaurant with a cozy setting. Probably 20 minutes from the house.
If your looking for a nice, easy, quiet place near the water this is it!

We had a wonderful week at the beach in Little Compton. The weather was excellent and the house worked well for our group of friends. The house is well-equipped and beautifully situated. We walked to the beach at least once a day. There were plenty of beach towels and the outdoor shower was put to good use.
Our only suggestion would be to please repair all the screens in all the windows and doors. Since the house does not have a/c and the weather was warm we relied on opening the windows to cool things down. With some screens in disrepair that was more difficult.
There is a musty/moldy smell in the basement so we kept the door closed and it did not impact the rest of the house. However, you might want to have that looked at.
All in all, we had a wonderful week and would love to come back again.

David’s property is a true gem, and he is a great host. We hope to come back to enjoy the home and the amazing beach. This is a great area to visit if what you love is ocean, a quiet & non-touristy area (but with fun and historical spots to visit nearby), and that was perfect for us. Highly recommend!

We enjoyed our week in this home. Everything went smoothly. Our family has returned to Little Compton every summer for the past 25 years and have stayed in all parts of the town. Although some areas are more exclusive and restricted, no area is better than this neighborhood and no beach better than South Shore Town Beach. So wonderful, low key, nothing fancy or pretentious. The home is well kept and spacious. We'll be back!

We had a wonderful time at Dave and his family’s home in Little Compton! The house is big enough to host a large family with room to spare. The bedrooms are spread out around the home giving a little sense of privacy for everyone, and there’s multiple living spaces with their own TVs if you don’t like to share! There’s two porches in front with breathtaking views of the water. One of them comes off the amazing master suite upstairs. The backyard has a great patio equipped with a big table and chairs, a nice Weber grill and plenty of other furniture spread around the yard. There’s a nice wooden treehouse/swing set for the kids and plenty of space for yard games (there’s a bunch in the garage!). The house is about a 5-10 minute walk to South Shore beach and provided a perfect getaway for our family to one of our favorite spots. Dave reached out a few times during the week to see if we needed anything, but we never did. The house comes fully equipped with all the stuff you’d need in the kitchen, towels, sheets, and a load of beach stuff in the garage. I’d highly recommend this home to anyone. A great stay with a great host!

Great Family Vacation
Beautiful views from front porch, livingroom, and bedrooms. Quiet neighborhood and spacious backyard with patio. Great for relaxing after a day at the beach. Goosewing Beach was beautiful too! Enjoyed the week and the host, Dave, was easy to reach if we had any questions. Definitely will return!

Family Beach House
Overall, our stay was a wonderfully positive experience. The little neighborhood and proximity to the beach was fabulous. The house has a 'quirky' layout---the MBR upstairs is gorgeous but there is no bathroom and a long walk to the nearest one if needed. There is a beautifully redone 'bunk room' with a bathroom ensuite, which was charmingly decorated with ocean themed items---and even included pails and shovels, and new beach towels.
