Location
I did not have hot water in my shower, and Saturday night. The music was slumping till 3 AM. I didn’t think it was going to be as crazy as it was.

Rien

The inner courtyard is a lovely place to relax and do work. They offer free coffee (you have to ask for it) and there’s a bar here at night that offers great drink prices. They lock the main door at night so it feels perfectly secure. The staff was constantly cleaning throughout the day so the place is spotless.
The restroom and wash area, and shower were a bit tight. The shower I especially wanted to get in and out as quickly as possible. The “continental” breakfast isn’t continental by American means (in USA a continental breekfast is an included buffet); however the $8 continental breakfast that they provided was absolutely delicious

Good location, nice garden and clean room. Very nice staff and beer sold on site. Good complimentary coffee! This is indeed a party hotel, with loud music and lots of happy people, dancing late and in the night, but inform you about it in advance. Also, they kept our luggage for the night when we climbed Acatenango.

This was our second stay at this place, so we liked everything from the first time - room, location, staff.

We needed a place to crash before our midnight hike up Volcan Acatenango. It was a decent hostel. The price was excellent for a private room with an ensuite bathroom. The beds were comfy enough for quick nap that was much needed. I probably would've stayed here if my friend wasn't so picky about where he wanted to stay.
The only thing I probably didn't like was the shower head in the ensuite bathroom. The shower head seemed electric and didn't have pressure. The bathroom is small, but it is clean.

The beds have curtains
The bed was really uncomfortable you felt the mattress springs in ur back

Good value for money, strong wifi, good price for average value.
They have a kitchen but you can't use it, the shower is very poor, the beds are without light. The place is more a restaurant like place than a hostel, the common area is for the restaurant and it feels like you are not welcome there.

Nice location, close to the center
The dorm was ok, beds are really separated from others and so you feel more intimate
the place also has a cafe/restaurant
no lockers :(
could be little bit more clean

Location was good, rooms were clean and the people at the reception were very nice and friendly.
The hotel description isn't honest enough to make clear there is a bar/restaurant/club right next to the rooms. This means that you can hear music out loud the whole night until 2am aprox. After you have been traveling the whole day sometimes you just want to relax and sleep early in your room and this is impossible at Nikikot since there is party going on the whole night next to your room, people singing out loud and yelling, dancing... I wont recommend if you want to have a chill time after a whole day of traveling or just sleep in silence.

It is not a hostel establishment but a restaurant which had a spare room that got converted into a hostel.
Nothing in particular.

Normal private room. They should mention and warn potential customers about the music thing until 01:00 am
Not a good hotel to rest in Antigua, music is loud and last until 01:00 am. Speakers are located next to private rooms. After music stops drunk customers from restaurant are laughing and speaking loud next to private rooms until 02:00 am. If you plan to go to bed since 02:00am book now, otherwise find another place.

I'm beyond disappointed with my stay at Nikikot. I emailed before checking if we could have breakfast at 7am because we were climbing Acatenango at 7.15 that day, they said no problems, we can do you a to-go bag. I arrived and our room was just off the main courtyard, there was music playing until after 3am, I believe the staff were having a party, no one else was invited, but suffice to say we hardly slept. Either way, these things happen, but when I got up to have breakfast there was no one there, and when I found someone and showed my email they just said breakfast is from 8 and shrugged. I chose to stay here to have a quiet comfortable night and with breakfast sorted before the trek and I had the complete opposite on both counts.
The beds were creaky and uncomfortable. The shower had dangerous electrics hooked up which shocked me and didn't even heat the water, there was literally nothing positive I can say about this stay and the staff, I would avoid it like the plague, there are far far nicer places in Antigua

the rooms are right in the restaurant so you can hear everything

The price was good for just one night. More than that time, as female, it would be very uncomfortable (only stinky and noisy guys were staying while I was there). I just booked this place since I only need it for a couple of hours at night before I took my shuttle at 4am. At least it was good to have a place were to put my luggage the day before. Fortunately I didn’t spend there many hours.
The sheets were very dirty. I wonder if they wash them after each guest. There were a lot of man hair on them. I also check the other beds that were available and they were the same, all dirty, with hairs and some had dirty spots. I had to use my towel over the pillow and sheet since it was the only thing that was clean.

Central location & cheap. They can organize transportation
The dorm has no windows and a very noisy not well functioning ventilation. The sheets were dirty and there was a condom on the floor.
In total no nice experience, but maybe a option it is has to be cheap.

Location is great
No kitchen or at least fridge for hostel area.
Not everyone wants to eat at restaurant everyday.
No lockers for your staff.

It’s such a gorgeous little place; beautiful courtyard with seating and a fire lit in the evenings as well as two indoor bar areas (generous happy hour and decent beers on tap). The staff are all wonderful. We stayed here on two occasions for a total of five nights and have loved it. Also, probably the cleanest room we’ve had on our travels in this region.
nothing

Camp fire at night was nice and the common area is quite chill. The capsule concept in the room is also good, but it’s a pity with the state of the room.
My bedsheet was dirty (has lots of little hairs and dust, also some stains) and this was the deal breaker for me, I couldn’t bring myself to lie down even though I desperately needed to after a big hike. I cannot imagine how hygienic the blanket can be and they do not provide an extra sheet to separate/wrap the blanket so it’s direct skin contact. There are also no lockers or any room key and even the shower is just separated by curtains. I was there for only half a day and couldn’t wait to get on the night bus to leave.

very comfy dorms, friendly staff & accommodating.
i stayed at a few different hostels in antigua and this was the best price and comfort
nothing bad
10.0 / 10.0
Staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. Beds were really comfortable and a curtain in a dorm bed allowed good privacy and rest. Dorm was really quiet. There's a restaurant and a bar at the hostel. Free drinking water and free coffee are a nice touch
There's a lack of a shared kitchen for the guests to use.
