Perfect cosy stay in Chester with free parking!

Super clean and cosy. Great location for visiting Chester. Owners never bothered us. Great to have parking so close.

Cosy space and overlooked beautiful gardens. Lovely little touches like candles and blankets.

Location ideal ,within 20 minutes walking distance of Chester town centre .Quiet location.Host very accomodating.

Bedroom was small with little room to accommodate cases.Only used for breakfast so didn't used cooking facilities but noticed minimal crockery

Great location

Great location, only 15 mins walk to the city walls. Lovely outside area and excellent facilities (coffee machine, toaster, bath robes etc). Lisa also very kindly provided a bottle of prosecco which was very welcome. Excellent price and facilities compared to local hotels and free parking. Would highly recommend.

amazing a lovely weekend with great memories

very clean. private and very home from home. it was my partners birthday we arrived to banners balloons and a little hamper which I thought was a lovely touch

Very cozy, really comfortable, close to town

such a cozy little place within easy walking distance of town and easy stumbling distance back again

although the chairs are very comfortable, would be better with a small sofa

This was an exceptional little place to stay. Beautifully furnished, cosy and well equipped with a nice welcome pack but additionally a great selection of nibbles and alcohol to choose should you wish to pay for extras. Set in a pretty area our hosts could not have been more helpful. Thank you for a great stay, would highly recommend.

Everything! 110% recommended The Lodge for a luxury stay and 18 minute walk from Chester City centre. Beautiful little cottage with all the facilities you need, and very comfortable, clean and tidy. Lovely views onto the garden too, and it looks like there is a seating area for when the weather allows. Lisa left us a very sweet Christmas parcel too. Will definitely come back again.

No breakfast provided unless you paid additionally. Although the property was very pleasant, if bijou, there was only one small bath towel per person. No hand towels provided. Was surprised given the attention to detail otherwise.

A quiet, relaxed stay in tranquil surroundings which are within walking distance from the city centre. The private parking is helpful. It is also reassuring that the owner lives just next door.

Very well appointed lodge. Quiet despite being off a busy road. Outdoor seating area is a suntrap. Well equipped kitchen (although a cafetiere would have been useful). Really comfortable bed, great shower. 15-minute stroll into the city centre. Free water/tea/coffee with extra food/toiletries at a cost to save shopping for breakfast etc. Hosts very friendly andwere very quick to address a broken lamp/coffee machine

Sadly not the property for us.

The apartment was well stocked with most things needed for a 2 day break. The welcome pack was nice and extras to purchase if required. The shower was good and powerful and nice toiletries. Good parking and friendly helpful owner. Nice small outside area if weather is nice.

Personally, I didn’t like the overpowering smell from the diffusers. The bed was too big for the space and I kept banging my leg on the base. The chairs in the living room were incredibly uncomfortable- too low, soft and too deep. The toilet seat didn’t fit the toilet (such a simple thing to fix). There weren’t 2 matching ordinary wine glasses. Unfortunately not the property for us and not particularly cheap.

A relaxing and enjoyable stay in a beautiful self-contained apartment in a perfect location

Lovely and well appointed accommodation, a perfect base for a couple of days in Chester. Tastefully decorated, very comfortable and quiet (what a brilliant night's sleep!) and Lisa has thought of everything you could possibly need during your stay. I only wish I could have stayed longer! A great location within walking distance of the city centre and with good public transport links so you can leave your car behind whilst you explore. The little patio area outside is great for winding down with a glass of wine after a day's sight-seeing. I will definitely book here again when I next stay in Chester and would strongly recommend it.

If I was being really, really picky, it would be great if a small dressing table could be fitted into the corner of the bedroom to have kept all my hair / make-up stuff in. That was absolutely the only thing missing though, and a pretty minor thing at that!

A great place to stay within an easy walk of Chester town centre.

You can walk into Chester either alongside the busy main road (the quickest route) or via quiet backstreets and the racecourse (slightly longer but infinitely preferable). The property is compact but well equipped. The host is excellent and responsive.

The outside space only has sunshine for a short part of the day - but the hosts cannot change that of course! The main road is quite noisy when you're outside, but you don't hear it in the property at all (again, the hosts cannot change that either!).

everything you needed, excellently decorated. walking distance from Chester city. beautiful garden. basket of goodies there with wine, chocolate, toothbrush and more for you to buy. very reasonably priced.
