The house was very livable. Not fancy but very comfortable. The outdoor space is charming and ghdd Ed house is only a block from a lovely park with ocean views. State Street and the wharf are a short drive away. The weather was great. We had a lovely 3 days in Santa Barbara- just what we needed.

We really enjoyed the space. Loved the gas fireplace, big kitchen and private back yard area. The bedroom with the double bed was a bit dark, not much lighting, but comfy bed and plenty of space. Perfect spot half a block from the ocean, walk to coffee shops and pier. We would definitely stay there again.

Enjoyed time at the house while celebrating our son graduating from UCSB. Nice house and close to the campus for events.

The home is impeccably clean. Everything works well. Lotsa of games and activities options. Quiet neighborhood. Quick walk to Shoreline park. Short drive to groceries. Very comfortable stay.

The house is well located for walks along the great bay-front park. The neighborhood is also fairly quiet, though there is a local jazz/blues band that appears to practice for a few hours on Wednesday night in close proximity. The home is in need of some maintenance, though. Repairs in the kitchen, garden, and master bath.

Nice home, very close to Shoreline Park (1 block walk). Had an issue with propane tank (ran out) and was replaced by the afternoon, so not a problem. Furniture was good, plenty of cookware, beds comfortable, showers nice. Overall good value for the stay.

This is a wonderful house with everything you could need for a great stay. The location was easy and close to everything. There was kitchen equipment, towels, beach stuff, books games etc. the outdoor space was very peaceful. It’s a great house for a family.

I’m going to start really making sure a house is well maintained before renting. This one has silly things - costing less than $100 to fix in many cases- that aren’t fixed. The water damage on the kitchen window shades? <$100. Toilet running? <100 for those kits at Home Depot. On and on. Toaster doesn’t work. Seriously? In a multi-million house? Shelf pulling away from wall in bathroom so we were scared to use it. Just a number of things to detract from a super cute house in a great location. I’ll scrutinize better next time.

Location was good. It seemed there was more to do before departure than I have normally experienced. One of the neighbors was a little louder at night than expected, but I was large enough to host my family, and was a decent stay.

Has the potential to be a great place, but needs a lot of work to get there. Cute house in a great neighborhood, but we found that in many ways it was unfit to rent. It has a major mildew & insulation problem, with mildew on all the bedroom ceilings which were freezing cold at night. The kitchen-area roof leaked during a rainstorm, followed by ants trying to take up residence in the house. Dishwasher improperly fastened which was a daily frustration. It has lots of potential, but I'm sad to say we will not be coming back here.

The back yard is just so beautiful and peaceful. Very short walk to the shoreline. Will be back!

The location was amazing with just a short walk to the park and to the beach. We walked there every day and it we could hear the “beach sounds” from the back yard which was really restful. The back patio was a perfect place to spend time while we were at the Vacasa. The house was very clean and we had very few issues with the house. Overall a great stay and we would definitely stay there again.

Lovely house, great equipment in the kitchen. The location was terrific, we could walk along the beach.
The instructions to unlock the front door were not accurate--just enter the code and the door will open!

This was an amazing place to stay and relax. The house has everything you need to spend time with family and/or friends. It is very well located, in a quiet neighborhood, just a few minutes walk from the beach, and not far from major tourist points in Santa Barbara. We would definitely recommend and come back again.

We really enjoyed this place but when there was a minor problem with the heating, the management company was not responsive. Kitchen was very well-equpped.

The neighborhood is great - just a block from the beachside park - and the home is clean. The price, for the area, was a great deal. There are a few annoyances that keep me from rating this as 5 stars, though.
1. The toilets have a small sign that asks guests to please be sure the handle returns to a certain position. I guess this is to make sure that the water doesn't keep running, especially in an area where water is already an issue. Please just replace the toilets instead. If that's too much of an expense then the company shouldn't be in the vacation rental business.
2. A little instruction on how to use the gas stovetop would be nice. It isn't obvious and I used the fireplace lighter several times before finally figuring out that if you turn the knob all the way on, the electric lighter would activate.
3. While the outdoor area is generally nice and quite spacious, the random stones are mostly just a tripping hazard, so my 80-year-old mother wasn't able to enjoy that aspect of the house at all.
4. Hopefully they will fix the issues I did report to them in the master bathroom.
None of these are dealbreakers for me, and I would stay here again.

This is the best location to stay in Santa Barbara -- just a block away from beautiful Shoreline Park, a 15 min walk to Leadbetter Beach, and a 10 min or less drive to anywhere you want to go in town. The house itself is super comfortable, especially for families. We really enjoyed the big spacious kitchen and the beautiful backyard.

Wonderful house 1 block from the ocean. Beautiful secluded back yard.

I treated my teen cousins to a girls trip to Santa Barbara. This house was perfect. It was close to the beach and shops and the neighborhood was so nice and quiet. The only thing is it was a hot weekend so you may want to bring a portable fan for the kitchen and living room. There is no AC. There was funky smell coming from the garage and it permeated the house, so we just opened the windows to keep the breeze in the house. The patio is gorgeous.

We had a wonderful stay on the Mesa. We'll definitely book this spot again. The highlights are the yard, games, and location.

I did not feel safe in this house. Every bedroom has a door to the patio, but some are not secured by proper locks. The biggest problem was the bedroom at the end of the patio. We could only use the twist lock on the doorknob and there was no light outside the door. There is a keyed deadbolt, but they do not provide a key and, in fact, it looks damaged from the outside. Overall, the house is kind of shabby: loose outlets, cobwebs in the skylights, some stains on the furniture. Overall, I will say it seemed fairly clean upon arrival (e.g. no grime in the sinks or showers), but did feel that our cleaning responsibilities were too numerous for the cleaning fee we paid. Finally, the location was great in terms of being near the beach and centrally located in SB, but there were a couple nearby houses that were pretty rough around the edges.

Excellent location. Spacious. Great access to SB zoo, restaurants, & beach. Would really shine with a deep clean - rugs, upholstery, outdoor cushions, master drain.

For the last five to six years I have always been told that if we were ever going to be in California my family should visit Santa Barbara. Looking at the listings on Vrbo I wanted a little bit of luxury but also close proximity to the beach. I was truly hoping the pictures online were as beautiful as it would be in person. THIS IS A BEAUTIFUL HOME. Each of us had a seperate room/bed to sleep in, there cleanliness of the entire house was impeccable. My middle schooler had a wonderul time just melting into couches and reading the books in the front living room. It was true luxury and literally a block and a half from the beach; we heard the ocean ever morning and then took a quick walk to see it as well. AND THE BACKYARD... there is a hidden smaller backyard that has the most precious citrus trees and bushes. This is a home that looks and feels like a 5 star hotel. Very Very Very worth someone's time to rent.

Great stay! House is well laid out and in a great location. Can walk to pier (20-30 mins depending on walking speed) and short drive to State Street. Vonns grocery a mile away. UCSB around 20 mins. Had breakfast and dinner in the house-had lunches out. Beautiful park with ocean views just across the main street with amazing sunsets! There are 2 thermostats but heating is not in the bedrooms but we were comfortable with extra blanket. Nice home away from home!

Clean, and perfect location for SB area and walk to oceanfront. Well equipped to cook and entertain family of 6. Outdoors patio and landscaping very lush and beautiful even in December.

Three of us stayed for 5 days and were VERY PLEASED. The house was just as described, all was neat and clean. We would stay here again. It's a 2 minute walk to the oceanfront park and a 20 minute walk to the harbor/marina.

Location makes it really convenient for walks on beach and along shoreline

We stayed for three nights in December and the property is very cute along with the beautiful backyard. The house does not have Central heating and instead has two wall heaters. The wall heaters work great but the first and third bedrooms do not get a lot of heat from these heaters so they remain cold. Besides that it was only minor things to address, but something to be aware of if you have olde or younger people traveling with you. Just a quick walk over to shoreline, and the neighborhood remain quiet so we did enjoy our stay.

The location and the wonderful garden make this a special place to stay.

We enjoyed this home. It was close to Shoreline Park for daily walks. The interior is beautifully decorated for easy living. The kitchen was well-stocked with pans, tools, and serving pieces. Nearby Lazy Acres is a great market for food. The outdoors is a beautiful space for relaxing and outdoor meals.

My family and I had a great stay! We loved the location!! Our kids enjoyed walking to the park overlooking the ocean in the mornings, and it was also a short walk to a beach. The house is so close to everything. The property itself was very clean, homey, and had everything we needed. We would definitely come back here!
