We would definitely return to this beautiful home on Tybee Island. Spacious and updated, with great porches and a guest house, we felt right at home with our family of 8. We HIGHLY recommend! Jim the owner was very responsive the few times we needed him. The home faces Tybee Creek, looking west. The large dock was our favorite place to hang out. We literally saw dolphins every day, caught some fish and viewed beautiful sunsets each evening. Amazing! A short walk or drive to the beach for some nice ocean waves - we enjoyed the south beach area.
Tybee Island - Be prepared to pay for parking wherever you go on the island. The Tybee parking app makes it easy. We enjoyed several great seafood restaurants in town - Bubba Gumbo, Crab Shack and Stingrays were our favs. Fun shops in town also. Definitely we will return to this home!

Bleu Breeze is a beautiful home on the back river of Tybee Island. If you only come to sit on the dock and watch the sunset, that alone is worth the money. Walking distance to the back river Beach. The dock is wonderful, we bought our boat down with us, which was nice to have. The back river gets a lot of boat traffic, bring extra fenders for your boat, but otherwise it was fine. The house was clean and beautiful. The kitchen is small, but well equipped. Jim, the owner/manager of the property was always very responsive both before our stay and during. There was a minor issue with the Wi-Fi that was operator error on our part but he responded quickly and helped us get it going. We will definitely come back and rent the same house again.

What a perfect way to start out 2024! This extraordinary home and location did not disappoint! The sunsets were outstanding and dolphin watching was a daily pleasure. This is a beautiful home!! Very sound and quiet. Everything you need is here and then some! Beds were extremely comfortable. Exceeded our expectations in all ways possible. We would definitely rent again, and would recommend anyone coming to Tybee to do the same! Jim was a very hands-on host and we appreciated his quick response in emails, texts, etc. Can’t thank you enough for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home and starting off our new year. Thank you again and we will look forward to coming back again sometime this year.

Beautiful house on the back side of Tybee Island. Short walk to the beach and sunrise views and the sunset views from the dock were absolutely beautiful. If you are looking g for a peaceful place to stay, this would fit the bill.

The 6 of us have now stayed at Bleu Breezes 2 consecutive years, traveling to Tybee from NC, VA and Ohio. It never disappoints us nor does Jim the owner. We love the screened porch, the open deck and the dock to choose from. All of us are very happy to be there enjoying each other's friendship. All of the beds are very comfortable and bathrooms well appointed. It is great that there is a bedroom ensuite downstairs plus the half bath . The kitchen has everything needed for us to cook . I strongly recommend Bleu Breezes and we will return again.

This is one of the best places we have ever stayed. The house is completely charming. It has everything you could possibly need. Our host Jim was the best and available any time we had a question. The view from the back porches and dock unmatched. We spent every evening watching the sunset over the river. Plenty of room and a beautiful place to just lay back, relax and enjoy Tybee Island. It’s a short walk to the pier or too many access points along the way. We would stay here again and again. Promise / you will love it!

My twin sister and I celebrated our birthday along with our families at Bleu Breezes. We completely and totally enjoyed our stay! The house is beautiful, very clean and has everything you need. The view of the river can not be beat and the dock is so relaxing especially to watch the sun set. The owner was accessible and very accommodating which we very much appreciated. We highly recommend Bleu Breezes and hope to be back in the near future!

This was my second stay at Bleu Breezes. The first stay was a perfect experience for my dying husband. He was a salt water baby, and was able to enjoy a family meal and fishing day on the back deck before his passing at the hospital. The dining table is large enough for our family gatherings. This last visit was a chance for all my husbands friends and family to say goodbye during his Celebration of Life. I was able to fully appreciate the stay. We had several fishing days from the dock, many family dinners. Everyone that travelled to Savannah for the event had there own places, but all ended coming to Bleu Breezes to enjoy the stunning views and quiet surroundings. The cool breezes were enough to keep the gnats a bay the entire stay. The character of this older home brings back the nostalgia of years when life was more at ease. When you arrive you take a deep breathe, and have a long exhale with a smile on your face. The covered porches were our sanctuary from the midday sun, and the sleeping porch lured its residents to multiple naps. We were serenaded each morning by a happy mockingbird. The beds provided a restful sleep which I had not experienced since my husbands death months earlier. I have rented many different places over the years at Tybee, and this by far is my favorite. I enjoy this little slice of heaven and will continue to do so when time allows.

This was everything it promised. We fished off the docks and caught fish and crabs. We saw dolphins swim by in the morning and evenings. It was a easy quick ride to the beach. Jim was a great host, getting back to me quickly on all messages. The place was amazing as well.

We loved our week at Bleu Breezes. The house was beautiful and very comfortable for our party of 9, including 3 teenagers. The dock and boathouse was amazing and a wonderful spot to relax and fish. The house was in a quiet location, but close enough to walk to beaches and restaurants. It was only about 20 minutes from Savannah which made for a great day trip as well. Overall, it was a very relaxing week and we can't wait to come back.

Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful home. It had plenty of space for our family of 9. Great living room and porch areas for all spending time together. Bedrooms were wonderfully furnished and beds were comfortable. We were blessed to see dolphins almost every morning around 830 and in the evenings around 1630-1700. Lots of wonderful little restaurants near by and we really enjoyed AJ dockside which is a short walk from house. We did end up having a mild cold snap when we arrived but we’re still able to enjoy beach and other water activities. Look forward to future visits.

Our family had a wonderful time at Bleu Breezes & Tybee Island. The property has plenty of room and easily accomodated our family of 8 (7 adults and 1 child). Everyone had their own bedroom, and no one had to fight for bathroom time. It also had a large communal space where we could all watch TV & share meals (the kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils, pots & pans). The house is located in a quiet part of the island and is on the inner waterway. There were georgeous views of the sunsets, and it was fun to sit on the dock and watch the dolphins swim by, and the pelicans dive for their lunch. While in a quiet part of town, it was it was still close to the resuarants and shops that the island has to offer. A grocery store was conveniently located ~8 blocks down the streeet.
When visiting Tybee, we would certainly like to stay at Bleu Breezes again.

Every year we look for a laid back island like Tybee with a home that suits the 6 of us - friends for over 30 years, traveling together often. Bleu Breezes is perfectly located on Tybee Creek with spectacular views of the ocean. The beds and linens were comfy and enjoying a screened porch plus deck plus dock is too good to be true. I found leasing and exiting the house with Jim quite easy.we have every intention of returning.

How can I describe this unique rental home other than to say it’s absolute perfection. We had a multi-generational family vacation and everyone had a great time. Our first time to Tybee, which I found to be so friendly and relaxed. The uniqueness of the restored coastal cottage and its stellar, inviting decor, combined with the close proximity to the river, beach, shops and restaurants made us want to just move in forever! We fished from the dock and also from the beach. Walked to get ice cream and buy sweatshirt (it turned chilly!) Jim was very quick to respond to our needs and we can’t wait to return!

We absolutely loved our stay here. It was just like stepping back in time with the sleeping porch. The weather turned beautiful and we were able to enjoy cool breezes and just being able to sit back and relax. We would definitely come back here again as a family to enjoy fishing and the great water views.

This is the kind of property that makes you squeal in delight and jump up and down when you arrive. Beautifully decorated, perfect location (the sunsets!!!), well-appointed, the absolute best VRBO I have stayed in. When we come back to Tybee, Bleu Breezes is the one.

We live in Savannah and were looking for a local spot to spend a few days in between travel to visit family during our children’s spring break. We’re familiar with Tybee and have an appreciation for how unique, special and coveted property on the back river area is…but Wow – just Wow!
From the moment you arrive you are treated to 180-degree views of the back river and the uninhabited 6,800-acres of Little Tybee Island on the opposite shoreline. The dock, as well as several rooms and porches, offer vast unobstructed views and provide the perfect vantage point to take in the spectacular sunset.
Not only were my wife and I thrilled but our children as well – they had friends that were also on Tybee and we enjoyed seeing the kids interact in an environment other than school, athletics and the usual neighborhood stuff. They surfed, fished, enjoyed the beach and walked to get ice cream; we played cards and boardgames and no one seemed interested in their phones for hours on end – imagine that!
The dock at Bleu Breezes provided the opportunity to bring our children’s small Whaler which proved to be a hit. My wife and I particularly enjoyed having a cocktail on the dock each evening as sunset approached and watching our kids and their friends boat out to the sandbar to explore and take in the sunset on their own terms – they could have been a million miles away but were never out of sight.
I could elaborate on the quality of the finishes, furnishings and amenities but feel that others leaving reviews have covered that ground – succinctly stated – exceptional! Instead let me suggest that Bleu Breezes offers one the quintessential Tybee experience; deep-water dock steps from the back door, beach access is a three-minute walk, and the location couldn’t be better for accessing all that Tybee has to offer - yet the cottage is perfectly situated in a quiet and private neighborhood.
Jim has done an incredible job of preserving and celebrating the historical elements of this special cottage while adding all modern conveniences that the discerning traveler expects, it is apparent that this was a passion project for him with no detail overlooked. Those that have the opportunity to stay at Bleu Breezes will undoubtably leave fully refreshed armed with great memories and perhaps like me, thankful that Jim is willing to share this special property with the fortunate few.

Beautiful, immaculate home.
I highly recommend this beautiful spot as a vacation home on Tybee Island. The home is beautifully perched on the inlet. We marveled at the amount of wildlife we observed. The home is equipped with everything you need to plan meals, cocktail hour and a cup of coffee. I do recommend adding martini glasses as we had the shaker but no vessel to pour them into. Easily fixed and anticipate it will be added to the well stocked kitchen. Jim was easily contacted to answer any questions we had and to welcome us. He also texted to be assured we were enjoying our stay. The home was immaculate, several showers ran simultaneously with no loss of pressure or hot water. You could walk to beach and local restaurants within minutes.
We will definitely return!!!
Be well, Jim, you have a wonderful home.

Bleu Breezes on Tybee Island, GA--Simply A Slice of Heaven
This Tybee Island cottage was built in 1915 and beautifully restored and remodeled in 2021. It was a pleasure for my family to stay there for 6 days. Each of our family members had their own bedrooms and bathrooms and it worked out so well. The dock was so nice to relax and watch the gorgeous sunsets.
All of the kitchen appliances were brand new and state-of-the-art so it was a pleasure to cook for the family. Outdoor grill was nice for our steaks and chicken. Loved going to Bubba Gumbos for a great lunch. Their fish market had the freshest mahi mahi and grouper, shrimp.....so clean. Other fish markets were not nearly as good. Fish looked old. Don't bother.
AJ's Dockside three doors down from Blue Breezes was not good and very expensive. We had a blast at "Huck-A-Poos Bites and Booze", a hole in the wall restaurant a mile away from the house on the main road out of Tybee. Pizza was great, music was loud but so good. We all had a blast.....
It's not necessary to bring a lot of clothes as there are no closets in either the main house or guest house. Chests are there for clothes and a few wall peg hangers. The cottage is a short walk from downtown Tybee and to the Tybee Island pier and beach which my family enjoyed so much. Just walk to town.... It's a 20 min car ride to downtown historic Savannah, what a beautiful city. Lots to do and see. Just park and walk along with water and wharf historic area.
Don't forget to stop at the Praline candy shop on the cobblestone road. Melt in your mouth free samples. Vic's restaurant in old hotel on the wharf was fantastic, reservations are a good idea...."She-Crab bisque" is a must!!
Reservations weeks in advance are definitely required at The Pink House just a few blocks away. That is definitely a must see....History abounds, the downstairs bar is incredible(used to be kitchen and laundry for the house when it was built 200+ yrs ago). The oldest house in Savannah. If you can't get a reservation....they are booked so far in advance, just go off peak hours and the wait staff are so helpful and knowledgeable about the house and are happy to let you walk through before the dinner rush. So fascinating to see original house, more recent additions as it became the first Federal Bank and now prestigious restaurant and event venue with beautiful ballroom.
Then go back to Tybee and relax.....at Bleu Breezes. Fabulous Vacation. Highly recommend. You can rent bikes on the island for the day.....
The owner made sure we were well taken care of.
Find your Slice of Heaven at Bleu Breezes!!! You won't be disappointed.

A gem on the water
Jim’s home was the perfect spot for our family’s Thanksgiving this year. This historical home has been beautifully updated and appointed and was so comfortable for the 9 of of us. There were plenty of towels, bedding, and dish and glassware for our large group as well as plenty of space - the variety of options where we could relax and catch up with each other (porch/ sleeping porch/ dock) were delightful.
The dock was a gathering spot for us…we brought 2 kayaks and fishing gear and the easy access to nearby marshland and natural beauty of the area was quick and easy. And sunsets were spectacular!
Jim was a perfect host - great communication, quick replies, and helpful suggestions.

A gem on the water
We could not have found a more perfect spot for our family’s Thanksgiving celebration. Jim’’s renovation is spectacular and the home is so beautifully updated and comfortable, with multiple outdoor spaces to relax and catch up with each other. Having access to the dock to fish, launch our kayaks, and enjoy truly stunning sunsets was such a bonus.
The home has ample bedding, towels, and dish ware for a large group and the beds are very comfortable. The neighborhood is lovely, with that distinctive coastal vibe, and access to the beach and to the town is quick.
Jim was a great host - timely and helpful communication and wonderful local tips.
This was such a memorable trip for us - so perfect in so many ways!
