The property was very spacious and well stocked, especially the kitchen. Loved the furniture and little knick knacks. There were fun surprises in every room. The hot tub was also nice. We appreciated the fact that dogs are allowed, however, the back yard was not as dog friendly as we hoped. There were gaps in the fencing and gate areas and a big mysterious 'Keep Out' area in the big back yard and unfortunately our dogs cannot read. 😀 The smaller casita yard was better, but still gaps in the fencing and gates.

We had complications with communicating our needs. We communicated with Vacasa. Their respond was timely however, the only thing they could tell us was that our needs were reported to their local team. We were never contacted by the local team. When we entered the premise, we reported the following issues: leak found in one of the bedrooms, bathrooms and kitchen unclean, refrigerator not working, entrances were cluttered with dirt and debris, spiderwebs in doorway and light fixtures. We cleaned and vacuumed rugs and mopped bathroom & kitchen floors in order to use them. Main house and casita were pretty dusty. We had to do a lot of cleaning. We reported squirrels living in the house primarily in kitchen. We tried to run them out of the house but they hid under refrigerator, dish washer and stove. We communicated with Vacasa several times and the best they could say was they were sending messages to local team. We forgot one suvenior and we have received the same communication. We have not heard the status regarding as to how we can get our package we left behind. Anything Vrbo can do to help with this will be greatly appreicated. We have booked stay away homes all over the country through Vrbo and Airbnb and we have never had such an issue. We will not be recommending a stay at Alfredo's Hacienda in Taos, NM to family or friends. We tried not to stay in the house but to sleep. It would have been a more comfortable stay if someone had come to address our concerns.

The charm of this home is perfect for the surroundings and very close to town and square. Ski Valley about 30 minutes away and is a great ski town.

We stayed here for 3 nights with 2 families, kids, and dogs. There was plenty of space for everyone. The fenced-im yard was large and perfect for dogs and kids. The house and Casita provided space for both families to be together but also have separate spaces to retreat to. The house is decorated beautifully and ha a nice large table for gaming and eating. The outdoor area feels like a party and even had a statue that was in the works - we enjoyed pondering what it might turn into. We will definitely be back!

We found a wedding band on the groud outside the garage. We put it in the tin box in the little area above the bench in the hallway facing the front door. We had a great time! The coffee maker was really slow, but the beds were incredibly comfortable. We would stay there again!

Large property and very well stocked kitchen. Plenty of room for a family gathering of 4 adults and a teen. The casita is great for shorter people. Location is close enough to town.

Beautiful home, lots of room, good kitchen, great location (slightly away from things but still close), star gazing, hot tub!

The home and grounds exceeded our expectations! Everything in the home is tastefully done. From the architectural details to the furnishings and art work it was exceptional. The casita was a flash from the past, with its low clearance doorways to rustic kitchen cabinets. Nice!

Initially we had difficulty with the Lock Boxes because the locks we were familiar with we aligned the numbers midway on the background line but after 30 minutes of struggling with the box not opening we called the manager and when they finally answered we tried aligning the top of the numbers to the background line so the whole number was under the background line. "WOULD HAVE BEEN USEFUL INFO IN THE INSTRUCTIONS SENT TO US". Then the lockbox for the Casita door hanging on the chair outside its front door had a cover over the number pad that we could not remove so the manager had to give us the code for the care takers lock box with 3 different keys in it for us to get in the casita where we stayed as our daughter's family with 4 children stayed in the hacienda. We did not spend much time at the place as we were there for a wedding but went for walks each morning in the neighborhood with our dog which was pleasant. The location worked out great as the rehearsal and wedding were at the Taos Country Club and we could easily get there avoiding most of the road construction and we found a a really nice little coffee shop, bakery and food truck complex for morning breakfasts, and spent the first whole day at a park for the kids and dogs and then visited the gorge bridge. It was a very quick drive to our favorite Chinese Restaurant "Songs" that we have frequented on previous visits to Taos. The kids enjoyed their stay as they had bigger beds and didn't have to share.

This property met all our needs as we hosted family and friends for our daughter's wedding in Taos. The house/casita gave us all the room we needed. The location was convenient to both the wedding venue and town. All in all, a most enjoyable stay.

With 6 adults and 2 pre-teens, we loved having room to spread out. Wifi was great for remote working and the hot tub and horseshoes provided great times for relaxation.

Great spot with true southwest style. Very unique architectural elements. Worked out great for a family and friends ski vacation.

The Hacienda is amazing. Well appointed and stocked with everything we needed. We didn't use the smaller Casita all that much, except as an office if someone needed some privacy. It too was nice and clean and is a nice option if those traveling with you desire some privacy from the main house. We loved our stay and will certainly come again. Thank you!

Celebrating our 12 year anniversary with a 4 night stay in various mountain towns. Taos was our first stop, and we will always treasure the memories. The house was charming! We arrived after dark, so our only negative experience was having some difficulty navigating the various confusing gates and key boxes. But that was minor. Everything else was great! Would definitely stay again, especially with a large group!

Really cool property minutes from old town Taos. Really appreciated the original architecture of the residence, all the amenities. Still has improvements ongoing to the property (outside), really interested in seeing the final result. Would definitely stay again. Really, really enjoyed our stay, truly unique lodging.

Wonderful House
Cool rambling house with a ton of personality. Lots of books and interesting artwork. It was very clean; the mattresses were firm and very comfortable, and the kitchen has more than you'll need to fix meals, which we did. Close enough for us to walk to town, but we're walkers. Lovely yard and a memorable stay for the 6 of us.

Reviewer Comments:
We had a great time at this house, it was super well decorated, cozy, the hot tub was great, and all of the amenities were in order. The location was nice and quiet, the beds were memory foam and comfy with plenty of extra bedding in the closet. We used both pull-out couches and the futon, it was a pleasant surprise because I didn't realize the main house had two pullouts but it did and it was great. We had a rental car because Taos is just very spread out in general. Would 100% reccomned.

Taos getaway
We really enjoyed our stay at Alfred's Hacienda & Casita - it was the perfect layout for our 3-generation family trip. The beds were comfortable, even the pull-out sofa. We had plenty of room to spread out. We spent a lot of time outside, including meals, and it was nice to have a lot of seating on the patio. The hot tub was excellent - perfect for post-hiking relaxation. Unfortunately there was a huge red ant bed next to the horseshoe pit that made it challenging to play. Overall everything was clean, though the light fixtures needed dusting/vacuuming. Beware the rustic wood coffee table, its rough edges can prey on unsuspecting knees if you get too close.
