Friendly staff, convenient parking, proximity to downtown, and very cheap pricing, compared to other hotels, made this decision a no-brainer. We will definitely stay there again!!

The hosts were very friendly and made sure everything was great. Location was the best
4.6
Very clean, quiet. Staff very friendly and helpful with all our needs. I will stay here again.
4.6
I very much enjoyed my stay. The room was exactly what I hoped for, with a great view of downtown and with a historic feel. Comfortable, clean, outlets for phones (USBC etc).
I would encourage anyone looking for the same to book here. I'd like to thank all the staff as well for their guidance and assistance.
It was my favorite room of the 17 day ride.

The front desk and cleaner were absolutely amazing. The nicest people.
4.6
The staff and owner are absolutely amazing. So helpful. Good hearts. Such a clean hotel.Third time staying there. Won't ever change that. Close to everything so you can walk. Restaurants, concert area. Parking area too. It's a historic hotel, so if you need a slick, cold hotel like a chain this isn't the place for you. This is more like coming to a cozy home. Love it!

Very friendly staff! Great rooms with modern amenities that still have a historic western feel. Location is unbeatable and the parking is right on location. We will definitely be staying at the Iron Horse again.
4.6
The staff were really nice and understanding as we had shown up at the very last minute to check-in. Car parking was pretty nice and you can come and go as you please.
4.6
Staff was great, easy to deal with and very friendly.
4.6
Wonderful place to stay. Right in downtown. Fantastic staff! Highly recommend!

5 night stay for the Deadwood 3-wheel Motorcycle Rally. Great location for lodging - walking distance to everything in town. Hotel has been recently updated but still has an Old West vibe. Owner and staff were friendly and eager to help us in anyway possible. Definitely recommend staying here in the future!

Thanks

Excellent communication and hospitality from the staff! A reserved parking spot on site, a comfortable clean room, and a great location with food options available Thank you for the nice stay!

Like the location, value/price of the rooms, nice staff, clean rooms, onsite parking. The parking is tight so don't have a large vehicle. We booked the double bed jetted suite, would NOT call it a suite, very small with no exterior windows. Would not recommend that room, pay the little extra money for a different room. Overall we like this hotel and will book again just not that room.
4.6
The room was huge and clean. It was nice to be off Main Street so we didn’t have to deal with all the traffic and tourists. But still within walking distance of all the action. On-site parking was go. The staff was very friendly and helpful, they went above and beyond to help make us feel welcome and ensure we had everything we needed. We would definitely stay there again.

Beautiful unique hotel, a very walkable town & very beautiful town

It was ok, bed was not comfortable.
4.6
Wonderful staff and location.

Cheri at the desk was super sweet and helpful. Room was comfy and clean. AC worked great on a hot summer weekend. Great location.
4.6
Neat hotel at a great location in deadwood. Room was super small. Small like a cruise cabin small. Bathroom was plenty big though. The room was in good condition and clean. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Overall except for the small room I really enjoyed the stay.
4.6
Worked perfectly for us. Free fountain pop and games in the lobby were a nice treat. Will look to stay here first on our next visit to Deadwood.
4.6
A special thank you to Cheri for being the nicest hotel staff member we have met during our 5 week (so far) road trip.
Her enthusiasm is reason enough to stay at this hotel.
4.6
Very nice and charming hotel with bed and breakfast feel. Near everything downtown

I really enjoyed my stay here. The gentleman running the front desk was the biggest positive for me. He was so kind and helpful! I got there a little early and he offered to let me park early and text me when the room was ready as I went out and explored. He also was very attentive and opened doors for guests and was generally super approachable and friendly! I liked the location too because it was off the main street so it was quiet at night, but it was close enough to main street that I could walk only one street over to enjoy that part of town. It’s also right next to the Adams Museum which had a great history of Deadwood. The room was nice as well. I was a single traveller so it was smaller, but I had more than enough room for myself and my things. It was very clean. This Inn has a very chill vibe and is a great quiet and friendly option that also saves the your budget! I would definitely return were I to visit Deadwood again!

The staff are fantastic! No trouble there whatsoever. They are in the progress of upgrading things, but they definitely need to fix the wiring, the ice machines, and please put USB ports in the room. That would be huge.
Not really about the property, but it’s almost like the city of Deadwood rolls up their sidewalks around 7pm. That’s a shame.

The front desk, cleaning service was all beyong genuinely kind and friendly. We have stayed at the oron horse 2 years in a row and will be back!
4.6
The owner and staff went out of their way to make sure we were satisfied with our stay. Super friendly and helpful.
4.6
The best stay in Deadwood. Front desk is amazing. New best place.
4.6
We loved the stay. Will definitely stay here again if in Deadwood
4.6
The staff was very helpful and went out of their way to make sure my stay was comfortable and that I enjoyed it.

I will start off with “You get what you pay for”, but in this case I feel I received far more than I paid for.
1. Guests get a reserved parking spot for the duration of the stay.
2. The staff treats you like family, they go out of their way to make sure things are right.
3. The location of the hotel is a minute walk from Main a street, Deadwood so once you park your car, everything downtown is walkable.
4. The hotel is very well priced, the building is a historic building, but the room we had was quite large, it had everything we needed for our 2 day stay.
5. The staff trust their customers, if no one is at the front desk, all the pop, chips, etc. are there and it is based on an honour system, take what you need and square up when the staff is there.
This was my second visit to the Iron Horse, and I will absolutely try and book future stays there.

Great historic spot. The staff was amazing and the room was great.
4.6
It was great for the price per night
4.6
Step back in time and yet enjoy all the modern amenities. Wonderful staff, very clean and comfortable.
4.6
This place was great! Super clean, the friendliest staff ever and a fun hotel to hang out it.
4.6
The room was spacious and comfortable. Everything worked. The only significant issue was the irregular front desk hours. We had to wait over 30 minutes when we arrived before Troy showed up to check us in. The doors were locked at odd times.
4.6
The staff at the Iron Horse was so friendly! Stan and Ollie's was a lot of fun as well. We'll be back!
4.6
Awesome location. Troy, the owner, is the best! Very friendly and helpful. Cheri is a long-term employee of this hotel and she's amazing too! I enjoyed my stay and will stay here again for sure.
4.6
Comfortable beds. Friendly and accommodating staff. Quiet lobby area you could sit and read a book or watch tv. Complimentary coffee and beverages.
4.6
Our stay was great. We arrived late and the front desk had called me earlier that day to give me all the details of how to get in. Room was clean, was smaller but everything we needed. Was close to main and easy to walk. The diner attached was an easy option and delicious food. The rooms were quiet as well which was a plus!
