It was a step back in time. We love antiques and books so it was perfect for us!
The staircase needs some attention. Not sure who owns it up to the property but it needs attention.

l’emplacement et le style de l’appartement
un des lits était trop mou et grinçait à chaque moment.

Fantastic location near Oxford Circus making it really easy to get to a lot of central London sites. The place was very much as pictured and seems like a real time capsule. The host was very communicative and check-in/out was very smooth.
With all of the antiques, there is a bit of a musty smell, but nothing overpowering. The only other strange bit was that the refrigerator can only be accessed if the kitchen door is closed.

The location was great and furnished beautifully. The kids each had their own areas to relax in, which is important on vacation! So glad to have found it!
Only issue was that the wifi didn't make it all the way to the back room. If the router can be moved so that the whole apartment has access, or a booster is added, that would be great!

The location was amazing for the price and the apartment is elegantly furnished with the well of knowledge within.
We have absolutely no complaints and would love to visit again.

Unique style of the apartment gives the sense of London in every detail, you never gets the same experience in hotels. It was a pleasure to wake up anticipating a cup of coffee in a bay window. The Location is ever best.
I knew that I chose it for style, but the appt might reminds a museum to somebody. Clean but “with history”. I would be wondering the appt had cleaner windows, spacious closet , electrical adapters, less old private belongings of former residents (in the lower shelves of corridor and the wardrobes are full of “old granny stuff” creates heavy feelings), more light at the entrance and in the living room, information about bath amenities and towels on the booking site.

It was the best luxury experience ever in London.
Really exceptional !

We loved the location because it was near Tesco Express, Boots, and many wonderful restaurants. The nearest bus stop was only 5 min walk and Oxford Circus tube is 8 min away. We walked through Regent's Park which has benches, grassy lawns for picnics, and a gorgeous rose garden. The apartment felt very home like and cozy. And the host was very responsive when we requested a second set of keys.
The only trouble we had was in drying out laundry. We tried using the dryer feature on the combination washer/dryer but it didn't really work. We found using the many drying racks supplied to be a better solution.

The location was terrific. Traditional decor was homey.
Where do I start? There were so many issues with this place, it’s easiest to mention them here in a bulleted list:
* the decor is nice but but quite dated, there were a lot of broken items throughout the apartment
* kitchen was not very clean, for example: crockery and glasses were filmy and dirty; kitchen sink was filthy with food and debris
* heating didn’t work at all (management company fixed it on the third day of our five-day stay)
* bathroom door handle was broken and kept falling off so you couldn’t close the door properly
* strong sewage odour in bathroom when we first arrived, as if the apartment hadn’t been used in quite a while
* ALL drains in the apartment were severely blocked — taking a shower meant standing in two feet of water in the tub
* shower head sprayer and the shower head hanging were broken so taking a shower was almost impossible
* it was obvious there are smokers in the apartment below and the smoke rises up into the apartment (especially first thing in the morning- sleep with a window open!); also, there are building works in the apartment above, which started around 8am. Of course this is not their fault but it was frustrating nonetheless and you should know what you are getting into (for what it’s worth, the management company offered to relocate us but we declined as we didn’t have time for that)
* we arrived on the Sunday of a bank holiday weekend. I didn't get through to anyone until Tuesday afternoon. Some issues were then attended to promptly, and some were never fixed. We had workmen in the apartment on two different days. The management company staff were lovely and they gave us a late checkout upon request. But I think this apartment is vastly overpriced and problematic for what you get — I’d rather just pay for a hotel. I requested a partial refund for all of our troubles and the management company said I would get a 2-night refund for our troubles. Interesting they are now offering 5% -Even getting a refund is frustrating

location and charming atmosphere were very nice
low in maintenance (lights not working, loose door knobs, sewering not working great), would not take much to do to get this fixed.

everything about this space was exceptional

Charming, warm, everything we needed in a great location. It’s like staying in someone’s warm home.
There is nothing we did not like about the property.
Very clean and accommodating.
There are two flights of steps to reach the apartment. There is no lift, but this is typical.
