About this house rental
This dog friendly house( legal, licensed nightly rental with a current Okanogan County health permit as required by law) was built in 1955 and retains that old mid-century charm. The upstairs bedrooms feature the ever-so-popular 50's knotty pine paneling. The living room is cozy with a coffered ceiling. The stairs are narrow and steep with a handrail. The kitchen has been modernized, but still maintains some of the sense of Grandma's house. "Out back', through the back door is a deck on the north side of the house, with picnic tables and Weber gas BBQ.
Recently, the house has been refreshed and updated. Gardens and lawns are being nurtured. Fresh paint. New furniture and beds. The whole works. The housekeeper recently told us that she used to live here 15 years ago, and her recollection was of a vegetable garden in the back yard. Perhaps that may get restored with her help. Meanwhile there is a sense of pride here.
The main floor has a shared living room and dining table. Kitchen is on the right, with a laundry area behind the kitchen and passage way to the rear. There is a larger queen bedroom and full bath on the main floor. Up the stairs are two dormer bedrooms and 3/4 bath.
INTERNET POLICY:
**We strive to provide the best internet service we can get here in the very rural Methow Valley. Internet speeds vary throughout the valley and outages or tech issues can occur that we have no control over, and for these reasons NO REFUNDS are given if the internet is problematic. We also do not guarantee that the internet will meet your work/school needs. Should you have an issue with internet service, please send us a message through VRBO describing the problem. We will then contact you to troubleshoot. If the issue is not resolved, we will then contact the internet provider, and/or homeowner. Please note... our valley is very rural and getting service personnel to fix things in a timely manner can be a challenge. We rent lodging, not office space.
Public internet is available at the Winthrop library with enhanced internet speed (parking lot or inside the library). Alternatively, for a fee you can go to the Dropzone in downtown Winthrop. Thank you for your understanding!
IMPORTANT WINTER INFORMATION :
**Should you travel to the Methow during the winter months it is important to understand that you must be prepared for winter driving(keep chains, shovel...in the car) and all the inconveniences it causes you and the community you are visiting. The weather can be extreme with large snowfalls, unexpected technical issues, frozen pipes, impassable roads/driveways). If it snows while here you will have to wait for plow service just like every other person in the valley. There are a limited number of plow companies and Methow Reservations nor the owners of the house are in control of the plow company schedules. They have many different contracts and many miles of roads, driveways...to plow. If a plow person or a snow shoveler shows up to clear any area around the house, please do not argue with them or turn them away. Move your vehicles if asked. Your cooperation and patience are required especially after any significant snow accumulation. Should you get stuck you can call Classic Towing in Twisp, WA
**Propane Fireplace--should there be tech issues or the propane fireplace upon your arrival please send a message through Airbnb. Methow Reservations and the owner will try to troubleshoot and remedy the problem. If the problem requires a part or there is an issue with the propane company that may take longer that your stay, NO REFUNDS will be given.

The house was a perfect vacation rental! One block away from downtown and a quick drive to the lake. It was a little warm on the first day, but the AC units in each of the rooms did a great job all the other days. Would stay again!

This is the ideal location for a visit in Winthrop! The house is cute and well kept. We were thankful for the fully fenced yard for our dogs!
People should know the stairs are steep, not a problem for our family but a consideration for some. The air conditioning is window units.
The house is only 1 block from the main road through town, perfect for walking and not worry about parking!

We rented this house so we could go to my niece's wedding. We needed a place for my family and my sister’s family. This house was perfect. I only wished we could have stayed longer and enjoyed all that it had to offer. Beds were comfy; super clean; so close to Winthrop which was so great to walk to. The living area was spacious and was perfect for us. Thank you for letting us stay.

We had a great getaway weekend celebrating my mom’s 86th birthday in Winthrop while staying at the Wrangler Inn. The location was ideal, the house spotless, and the accommodations were the perfect size for the five of us and our two dogs. Everything was accurately described and exceeded our expectations. Thank you, Tim and Sara!

This was a perfect spot for my family and friends to enjoy a weekend together. A very short walk to dining and drinks and a short drive to outdoor adventures! The check in process was very easy.

We stayed here with a group of friends. The place was perfect for the three couples. The living room couch was big enough for everyone to lounge on, and the dining table the perfect size for a group. Overall this was a fantastically well thought out and equipped place to stay. As and added bonus it is close enough to walk downtown and get a drink or a treat at the bakery!

The property was exactly as described and there were no hiccups or funny business with our stay. We showed up, stayed, and enjoyed ourselves without any trouble. The house was in good shape and met our needs perfectly.

This property is an older home that could use some updating for what it costs to rent per night. That said it worked fine for two nights while we were in town for a wedding. We had a plugged toilet upon arrival and the property manager was quick to respond and took care of the problem. Beds were comfortable, they had just added portable AC to both bedrooms upstairs which made a huge difference since it was a hot summer night. The kitchen could use a few more basic items i.e. cutting board, salad servers.
Best part about the house is the location to town, a short walk downhill.

We were in town for a local trail marathon with friends, and this house was the perfect place for us. We had kids (2 1-y.o.s, and one 2-y.o.), we had adults, and the accommodations were amazing for our group. Would definitely stay here again, if we could.

This house was great for a trip of 6 friends. The layout of the house provided lots of space to spread out in (so you didn't feel like you were on top of one another) and the common areas were big enough to fit all of us when we wanted to be together. Two bathrooms meant we rarely had to 'fight for the toilet' :P And walking distance to downtown Winthrop! Awesome.

our first winter outing to Winthrop; so much snow, such great nordic skiing with the family. we loved our stay.

We enjoyed our stay at The Wrangle Inn. Being in downtown Winthrop allowed us to easily access trails all over, rent skis, and access restaurants. The house was clean and easy to access, with parking right out front. After a few days the clouds broke and we saw we would have a distant view of some mountains too if it stayed clear. We had good communications with the property manager as well.

This home worked out great for my husband and son. My husband is disabled and said the bed was comfortable and had everything that was need for their manly getaway. My son had the upstairs with a friend and they were completely satisfied with all of their gaming devices and the wifi was perfect the whole time.

The house was located one block above the main street in town. Perfect location! The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed for meal prep. Lots of seating areas inside and out. Although it is clearly an older home, much has been done in the way of upgrades. No doubt we will be back.

Great little house just steps from downtown
We had a small hiccup with the hot water
We called the property manager and the issue was resolved inside of a hour
The house could use another ac unit for upstairs but there are fans for all the rooms and it cooled down at night
so with the fans the people upstairs were comfortable for sleeping at night
I can’t wait to stay here again next summer
