I was turning 80 and wanted a special place where my whole family could gather for a week to help me celebrate. Casey's Porch turned out to be the perfect place. There were 11 of us and everyone had the best time. There was plenty of space in the house so we weren't on top of each other, but great opportunities to come together around the big dining room table or the pool for special family times. Clare and Chris were great hosts. I highly recommend this place, you won't be disappointed.

Our family rented Casey's Porch for a long weekend to attend a family wedding at a nearby wedding venue. The house could not have been more perfect for us. It is very spacious and just as depicted in the listing photos. There were multiple dining and sitting areas on the first floor, so everyone had plenty of space to eat and just hang around and talk. The yard and the dock are great as well. Several of the kids took the kayaks out on the creek and they are very good kayaks. Cooking for the whole family was no problem in the spacious and very well-equipped kitchen. Getting 12 people ready for a wedding was a breeze with the number of bathrooms and there was plenty of hot water, though it takes a few minutes to get up to the 2nd and 3rd floors. The only negative was the satellite wifi, which is very slow. If you have a 5G phone, cellular was usually faster, but that really was not that important to us as we had many wedding events in town or at the wedding venue and had less time to need the wifi.

Great family and friend vacation location. Layout of house is ideal for socializing and big meals on the first floor or on the screened in porch. Good reading or work library rooms off the main area which was ideal for the week we were there for those who had work commitments or people just wanted to be alone for a bit. Bedrooms spacious. Third floor loft area ideal for the younger people in your party.
Kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need for big meals. Two refrigerators is clutch. Crab trap off deck was very cool. Caught 9 blue claws for dinner one night.
Excellent quality paddle boards and kayaks. Terrific lawn games available for use. You can stay at the house for a week and do nothing else. Pool is fantastic. Lots of lounge chairs
Clare and Chris made our son’s first Ironman the most memorable experience! They are attentive, provide great recommendations, and overall excellent hosts. Highly recommend this property for you next family getaway!

large roomy house with everything a family could need. loved the pool and walking around the area. lots of great meals together at the long table and room for everyone to stretch out. close enough to town but far enough too - lovely quiet. internet was not enough if you want to work there but we did have heads up on that. but the best for me was going out in kayaks > I've never seen so many herons, ospreys, kingfishers in one place

The property is excellent for a large family. Attractive house, well equipped, in excellent shape. We accommodated 10 with room to spare. Swimming in the pool, kayaking and fishing off the dock (assuming you are fishing for fun rather than for food) are the principal activities.

We had a large, week long, family vacation here, 12 people. This property was everything we could ask for. There’s plenty of room and floors for the teens to separate and hang out, without disturbing the older adults. We fit at the table for sit down meals and large group gatherings/games, but there were separate sitting areas so smaller groups could break off. The pool and pool area were wonderful for lounging on hot days. Fishing, crabbing, grill, screened in porch, plenty of beds and baths, laundry and room for lots of cars. We saw an eagle, ospreys, rabbits, herons, frogs & lizards. Bring bug spray, that’s the only downside, but it’s nature & can’t be helped. We’d rent here again.

Our family (ages 4-74) had a wonderful week at Casey’s Porch. The property was perfect for our group - we spent the day at the pool, the evenings at the fire pit and occasional breaks biking, fishing, and kayaking. The house was spacious and well stocked with everything we needed - from vinegar to beach towels and everything in between!! We also took a few local outings to parks, wildlife reserve, and playground/beach. We had an amazing dinner Maryland Blue and ice cream at The Creamery!
Clare and Chris were easy to contact and extremely helpful.
Overall our week was everything we hoped for and more!

PS - oh and the front porch was great for reading and chatting, and the back porch for meals and watching kids!

We stayed at Casey's Porch for the 2022 Ironman Maryland race and we could not have picked a better home. The house was spacious allowing everyone to have their space in preparation for the race. The kitchen and dining room supported all of unique needs and wants. We enjoyed group meals on the screened in porch overlooking the water. After a long day of racing, it was great to come back to a pool to soak the aches and pains and then sitting around the fire pit that night telling stories while eating smores. We would stay at Casey's Porch again in a heart beat even if to just get away for a long, relaxing weekend or other special occasions.

Family vacation house in a quiet neighborhood with a lot of indoor and outdoor spaces suited for a large (10 people) or small gathering. Our family with 3 adult children and 6 grandchildren all had fun swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding or just hangout having good conversation. The only drawback was the poor internet speed and poor cell service which was frustrating especially for young adults who can’t function very well without good internet service.

House is well maintained, clean and exactly what you would expect for a luxury house in a remote location. Can’t here much of the neighborhood except to morning rooster across the river but it is actually plaisant. Pool, chairs, BBQ and fire pit all great to entertain your family and guests. Will recommend!

Hosts have provided everything you need for a beautiful, relaxing, and entertaining family vacation! (Area is also beautiful and interesting with the Harriet Tubman sites and the National Wildilfe Refuge. )

Clare and the home were great! The home is beautiful and well equipped/suited for a large gathering. I hate to put this in the review - because our stay was wonderful, but I feel a need to let people know that the surrounding area is a little dangerous. My nephew was robbed at gunpoint on New Year’s morning at the local WaWa about 10 miles away. This is a great place to stay, but don’t leave once you are there.

Our group had a magical Thanksgiving week at the property. The property was spacious, bedrooms were plentiful and there was a fire pit stocked with wood ready to help us brush off the chill. We can’t wait to come back!

A perfect spot for a family get together. Lots to do inside and out. Right on the water for kayaking etc. Or just sit indoors and enjoy the fireplace, play games and sit and chat with a nice beverage in hand!

We were a group of family friends and visited during mid October. Fall is late this year and although we did not see fall colors the beautiful warm weather and the hosts making an exception to keep the pool open made up for it many times over. The kids kayaked in the mornings and enjoyed the pool in the afternoon. We biked and used the fire pit to make s’mores. The home was so well equipped and the hosts took extra special care of every thing. My kids want to come back here again. One the best stays in our experience.

Wonderful week long stay at Casey’s Porch. Plenty of space for all to enjoy from the youngest kids to oldest adults. Good crabbing spot off the dock behind the house. Nice size pool for all the kids to play in all day long. The hosts were extremely welcoming and responsive also.

What a beautiful, quiet setting for a family reunion. The house was spacious and clean. The home owners went above and beyond to be available for any questions or concerns. Views from the dock were amazing. Highly recommend doing a kayak tour with little black water adventures and visiting St. Michael’s.

The bedrooms/bathrooms were plenty for the 8 of us plus more on the third floor. The playroom on the third floor was enjoyed by my grandchildren ( 5yrs and 20 months) and the pool was the favorite spot for the whole family. We paddled kayaks down the river and fished from the boat dock. Even tried our hands on catching crabs with the crab cage. We cooked most nights for dinner and all the kitchen items we needed were provided.
Chris and Clare were so welcoming to us, a cute sign welcoming our family (on the porch), notifying us about a tornado watch coming through one night. and when a maintenance person was coming to the yard they made sure it was convenient for us.
Casey's Porch was the perfect house for our family reunion.
Would definitely come back again!!

I rented this property for 12 of us to get together for my bachelorette party. We were not looking for a wild & crazy bar hopping scene as we are all in our 30-40s. We wanted a large house with plenty of space, a pool, and a waterfront property. This place by far exceeded our expectations! The house was incredibly clean and beautifully decorated. The owners were easily accessible and reached out via email several times to see if we needed anything throughout our stay. The house was well stocked with all of the necessities including linens, towels, beach towels, paper towels, toilet paper, garbage bags, and the list goes on. They had sent me a "welcome pamphlet" via email telling us about the house and gave multiple suggestions on where to eat, what to do, boat rental/charter companies, and other helpful miscellaneous things that we hadn't even thought to ask. Chris & Claire(the owners) were so thoughtful that they had left us 2 bottles of wine(nice wine too!), a fresh pie from the local bakery, chocolates, and the sweetest handwritten welcome note. Seriously, they had thought of everything! You will also see some of the most spectacular sunsets of your life! We enjoyed taking it all in while we sat on the dock enjoying a glass or 2(or 3!)of wine. They also provided kayaks, a firepit, and multiple yard games if you felt like exploring your competitive side. I would highly recommend this place as it is a little slice of heaven! And if you get the chance, reach out to Jimmie & Sook's for an unbelievable fine dining private chef experience right in the comfort of this home. It was one of my favorite parts of the week!

I had a relaxing stay here. The view of this property is so pretty by the river! The house was spacious and clean, so it was perfect for the group. Unfortunately, the weather was awful with thunderstorm and flooding, so I couldn't enjoy the outdoor activities. The parking was difficult with the mud and flooding in the front. Unfortunately, Wi-Fi didn't work well, so Netflix or internet didn't work, so we couldn't really enjoy a movie or work while we were stuck inside. However, we had enough card games and board games to keep ourselves busy indoor. The game room on the 3rd floor was perfect for the group to sit and enjoy games comfortably. Both Chris and Clare were really helpful and fantastic throughout our stay. They also surprised with nice goodies for my birthday as well. They were super fast on responding and they suggested good places/restaurants for us to go out and check but due to rain, we couldn't. They also had nice and comfortable couches for us to take a nap in. There are tons of fishing rods, kayaks, and bikes, so with the nice weather, it would have been super nice. They have full kitchen utensils and they also have grill utensils, so you don't need to worry about packing your own! I hope I can stay here again in summer so I can enjoy kayaking and fishing next time I visit here!!
