We had a lovely stay from start to finish the hotel was very welcoming, food and room spot on.

Great service, beautiful property and the access to the health club was awesome.

The hotel is very clean and comfortable and the staff welcoming.
Not sure it is very good value for money though - the shower controls were broken but did function, EV charging was not available at the hotel but a short walk away near the gym/spa, but was even more expensive than chargers at motorway services!
Service at breakfast for anything other than the buffet was a little slow, despite there being very few guests.
Apart from these few niggles we enjoyed our overnight stay.

It’s lovely. Our daughter’s wedding was held here & we stayed the weekend. Everyone was so kind & thoughtful. Daniella, the GM was there for us when needed, so was Sofia & I’m deeply sorry I can’t remember the name of the other girl. She was so attentive & seemed sort of ubiquitous. She was everywhere helping. She was @ breakfast as well as the Montgomerie room.
The elevator was inoperable the last day, we’d luggage bc we flew in from the US. However, two gentleman came up to our room to help bring our luggage down.
Thanks again for taking care on Denille & Robert on their special day & for showing both families a hospitable time.

Overcharged on my credit card despite being assured I would not be. Having great difficulty contacting the hotel to rectify their mistake.

Unfortunately the staff could care less that guests are there. Actually they are begrudging that you are paying to stay. Attitude to the max. Because they were short housekeepers they just left towels on the floor at your door! Seriously photo below
TVs didn’t work. It was a true disappointment! Cannot recommend.

Checked in. Went to room but was still being cleaned. Got asked to wait 25 min and they would come and get us. Waited in bar for 40 min and decided to ask reception if room was ready now. Got told. ‘Oh. Yes. Sorry’
Apart from that it was a nice hotel with good food and good early bird dinner options.
Would stay here again but found price was high.

We had a great stay, the staff are attentive and discrete, the food is delicious. The only reason we down graded the rating was due to the need of some decoration and repairs. The window in our room was broken, the floor in the toilet lifting and mastic was poorly replaced. Little elements but not expected in a hotel of this rating.

All good, excellent room. Good Rates, clean rooms and Breakfast was okay.

Staff are so friendly

Great location for a relaxing weekend

On arrival we were told that to use the pool for one hour we would be charged £60, no possible discussion (it’s free if you book direct). Also kids are only allowed to pool from 2pm to 7pm (kind of the most inconvenient hours) Place was in a bad state, don’t know where they got four stars from. Restaurant food was awful and extremely expensive (breakfast was adequate thought but then it’s free), bar also overpriced. I ordered lamb and specifically asked for it not to be over cooked and it came incredibly overdone, even pizzas were terrible. Room was fine but with everything well worn out. Place is super ugly. On a positive, staff was nice if completely unmotivated and it’s very quiet. It’s expensive so only book if you intend to use the spa and then make sure you book direct. If you are going to eat there stick to the basics and try to get a deal ahead which you can do when you book direct. I feel like I went I to the dragon’s den and my wallet got swallowed for nothing special.

I had a disappointing visit to this hotel. I had booked to take my children away for a night during half-term and booked the hotel because it had family rooms and a swimming pool.
When we arrived, we were told we had to pay extra to use the pool as we had booked on experia rather than through the hotel directly. This was not clear at all when booking and instead felt like false advertising given the pictures of the pool on the booking site.
Despite the significant extra fee to take 4 of us swimming, we decided to go ahead because it was raining and we had been looking forward to the pool. However, we were then refused entry to the pool as I had 3 children with me. They were not young children (two over 10yrs old) and all could swim. There was no justifiable reason for not permitting us to use the hotel facilities, and I would certainly not recommend this hotel as family-friendly!

Great location, lovely staff and amazing food

We stayed at the hotel for our wedding anniversary and they cloudy have done more. We had a welcome plate with dairy free sweet treats and “Happy Anniversary “ piped in chocolate on the plate. The staff were amazing and so attentive. Nothing was too much trouble.,

We booked a executive double with queen bed,and we were upgraded to a larger room. The Staff very welcoming nothing was to much for them. Hotel very clean as always. Breakfast amazing pleanty to choose from, plus the quality of the fresh food was excellent.

Staff are so lovely and helpful, nothing is to much trouble.

The hotel was quiet as it was just before Christmas, but for the price we paid there were too many bits and pieces that weren’t right.
Good points: the king size bed was huge and very comfortable, and the staff at breakfast were excellent.
Not so good points: we were the last in the bar, and the guy from reception came in to talk to the lady behind the bar very loudly about inappropriate stuff, including swearing. I’m no prude but there should be a code of behaviour when guests are present. We knew the pool was closed for maintenance but we were told the spa closed at eight, when we got there it changed to half past seven. The phone was broken in our room, too.
The hotel is in a nice quiet location with large grounds, and the room was big and comfortable, with a smart bathroom. There isn’t a huge choice of hotels in Hastings, so this is recommended if you’re searching.

From the minute we arrived until the morning we left the service was excellent. We had drinks in the bar, met with friends and had a meal in the restaurant. The food was, fresh, well presented and very tasty. The service was friendly and quick, staff were always around so we could order more drinks. The room was spacious, clean and in full working order, with a descent hairdryer and excellent shower. We could not fault any part of our stay. Would definitely recommend and will definitely stay here again.

Great room and service. The breakfast needs to be at least warm, most items cold. Difficult to enjoy cold scrambled eggs.

Ideal location for weekend break to the coastal towns of Hastings, Bexhill, Rye.

We have stayed at quite a few hotels in the past 3 years and this is the best by a country mile. Room excellent food top draw and the staff couldn’t do enough for us. Special mention for Casey one of the receptionist she went the extra mile to make our stay just that little bit more special. We have already booked to go back for a longer stay in January next year. The spa facilities next door are very good as well and we are looking forward to using their outside jacuzzi.

Nice hotel but bed was worst we have ever had and the breakfast was not great
2.5
Amazing stay. Hotel beautiful. Staff all so friendly and welcoming. Beautiful room. Very cosy bed. Everything there that you needed within your room. Great facilities and beautiful grounds to walk around in.
We had an amazing stay. Highly recommend to others also.

The hotel was lovely. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Two points to improve.
*The beds are more comfortable at Premier Inn.
*The evening food was not up to much, Cote Brasserie do much better. Unpleasant sauces and garnishes. "Wood chips and lemon". "Ash & basil". I jest! Mint on sea bass did not work, why not fennel or tarragon? And I can cook a pork cutlet better- with a bit of mustard, garlic oil and salt & pepper.
However, the breakfasts were good.

No air con in the room despite control panel and vent being there but they did provide a decent fan so no worse off than at home. Bed was uncomfortable and bedding threadbare but breakfast was excellent. Found a few staff tended to ignore guests in preference to colleagues but overall was adequate.

Friendly. Immaculate. Enjoyable

Not my usual choice for a weekend in Hastings, but I’ll be back next summer. The gardens are beautiful and a lovely place to sit with a gin before dinner or a latte with the papers on a Sunday morning.
The restaurant is very good and excellent value. There’s lots of choice for breakfast, all for the standard price, and the orange juice tasted like the real thing - i.e. not from concentrate.
I’m not sure about the 1980s pop music in the dining room but other guests were clearly enjoying it.
It’s the first overnight stay I’ve ever had in Hastings with no issue parking and that’s a huge bonus.

Beautiful hotel-disappointing pizza and salad and no massages available-excellent staff friendly and helpful -

I could not fault any service or staff at this hotel
Rooms very clean food very good
The hotel needs a little TLC to bring it back to life but it is a beautiful hotel and surroundings
The spa was fantastic and Alfie was a great guy in making you feel welcome.

Helpful staff. Excellent accommodation fine location
1.5
The main issue was the power to our room went off a critical time getting ready for the evening. The coffee / Tea facilities only had one small carton of milk and the hotel advises you to sort ot your own taxi if your going out in the evening cause local services are not guaranteed
1.0
the front door of this hotel tells you all you need to know about the accommodation, tired dated bashed chipped paint and in need of a deep clean, the staff were great, but the accommodation is very tired, oh and to charge £20 to use the pool on top of paying £130 for the room is insulting, for that reason alone 'i'm out'
2.5
It was very good, better than expected and thanks for a great stsy

Lovely service, the cleaners in particular were lovely. The room was very dated and in need some TLC - marks on wall and floor, scratches and holes in bed head board.
Restaurant food was fine. The surroundings are lovely.

It was appalling that the lady on reception told my employees that due to not booking direct they could not have the AC turned on in there room, Men asked for a fan and ice and they were declined 4 times until eventually they were given some ice.

Great service from everyone. Clean comfortable room. Maisy is fantastic!
Lovely grounds very relaxing stay.

This was a short stay of just two nights. We were sightseeing in the area rather than using the spa facilities. The accommodation was spacious, comfortable and quiet. However, we did find the bath in the middle of the bedroom floor a little odd.
The restaurant menu was adequate.
5.0
Great facilities, Spa is £20 per person to use pool etc. only 15 min drive to Hastings beach
2.0
The room was fine, a little bit on the hot side, It would’ve been better if I was on a higher floor, but I was on the first floor and so there was a roof right outside my window which meant that I didn’t sleep well with the windows open, knowing that someone could climb in from the roof.
The bathroom was okay, but Firstly, the light for the bathroom was automatic, so in the middle of the night I prefer to go to the toilet using the torch from my phone so that the light isn’t too bright as soon as you walk in the bathroom, the whole thing, lights up and blinds are you. The second issue was the height of the bath, to shower You have to climb into the bath and it was incredibly high. I really struggled and yet my shower at home is over the bath and I don’t have any problems getting in because it’s a normal height.
The reception staff, I found quite young and unaccomodating. On arrival, I asked if it would be possible to check-in slightly earlier because I was there for a funeral which meant that if I couldn’t check in early I wouldn’t be able to check-in until fairly late. They didn’t even bother to contact housekeeping to see if this would be possible. So by the time I checked in at nearly 9 pm at night. I was asked if I could move my pre-booked breakfast from 9:30 am to 9 am to accommodate a function they had booked in the next day, although they are supposed to do breakfast until 1030. All in all I was left quite disappointed.
