To be honest I only used the Brome Grange as a place to sleep as I was dining out with friends and having breakfast with them too. The room though was very comfortable and had all the usual essentials. Faultless really!
I can't comment on other parts of the hotel and I didn't go anywhere else apart from reception.
PS: Diss seems to be short of places to stay. If you're in need, the Brome Grange hits the spot.

great place, a fascinating combo of 80s modern and 1600 old. love this. stayed here several times now.

Nice hotel for a short stay

Check in person who wasn’t welcoming couldn’t operate computer because he didn’t have a login access and had to phone another member to use their password
Never gave us any verbal info about breakfast times/location etc. when we asked about dinner in restaurant he was very vague. Breakfast was a shambles only one person working in room doing everything the buffet wasn’t replenished
e.g no juice, milk, pastries, jam. Some guests were also clearing tables to sit down as the waitress couldn’t do everything. Wasn’t her fault she should’ve had help. The dinner in restaurant was good and the room had a very comfortable bed
3.6
Tired hotel but with renovations being started. Reception staff could not have been more helpful. Restaurant and kitchen staff very understaffed and not very professional

Nice comfortable room in a good location.

Booked through this website and was the biggest mistake ever !!!! Ended up paying twice for the property and Expedia cancelled my stay the afternoon of my stay and didn’t tell anyone .. this was because I changed dates and then changed back as I had the right dates … I even called the hotel three times that week and even in the same day and they told me that my booking was all good ! I get there on that day and get told that I have to pay again . I drove 120 miles and couldn’t say no as it was my sister birthday .. so I ended up paying 350 for two nights in a cheap hotel … not happy and will never use this company again o will make sure all social media sees this as it’s a disgrace …

Small hotel with a quirky layout (all the better for that).
Next to a main road but is remarkably quiet despite this. Location is very good for the race track at Snetterton.
Friendly staff who were always helpful. Judging by a couple of comments there was a new chef when we were there and they seemed to be adjusting to the menu. Food was well prepared but some descriptions on the menu were open to interpretation (gnocchi with summer vegetables sounded great but the vegetables were lacking).
Another slight niggle was that there was not vegetarian sausages option on the breakfast menu which is unusual.

Decent place to stay - quiet and clean rooms.

I had booked a nights stay as I was attending a friends wedding nearby. I was able to check-in without any issues, but I was dissapointed with the room I was given. The bedding in the room was all itchy, which meant a turbulent nights sleep.
The service at breakfast was frustrating. There was one member of staff on duty, and I had to ask 3 times for my eggs (which eventually turned up and were flawless). The pastries, and juices were often requiring refills which meant we had to wait around a lot.

Amazing quiet place next to a calming wood ! Large and Comfy room with great breakfast and gym !

Good for a dog.
Bedside lights need switches at both sides

Heating wasn't working, shower drain was blocked so shower overflowed onto floor.
Went to dinner at seven o'clock and they had already run out of two options on the menu even though there was hardly anyone there and the food served was bland.
Only too happy to ramp up prices during school holidays but service was dire.

Staff gave us different bedding when quilts too heavy which was good

I liked my stay the receptionist was a lady and was very kind and polite with me helping me with everything.
The chalet was beautiful and very big.

Lovely hotel, great staff, lovely food and nice comfy bed and spotless room. Amazing

Absolutely appalled with this hotel, we booked the room with the hot tub to arrive and check in. Then to be shown to our room and there was a sign saying jacuzzi out of order. We was not informed of this before our stay. We booked this weekend away because we needed a weekend away and it was completely ruined by lack of communication from this hotel. We were offered a room change which we accepted but it put a complete downer on on break. I will be contacting the hotel chain directly

Beautiful hotel and all the staff were welcoming, kind and attentive. Wonderful

The rooms were very tired and had mould issues in the bathroom tv not working, rooms not very warm, my sisters room (not booked through Expedia) had a major water leak under the floor tiles in the bathroom we did complain the next morning as it was to late when we arrived, the staff where absolutely brilliant they couldn’t do enough for us they managed to put us in some much better rooms even though still very tired, the rooms need major refurbishment to warrant the cost…. It was only the staff that stoped us asking for a refund or some sort of compensation.
3.6
My room was not clean, curtains hanging from pole, holes in walls, kettle needed descaling. Bathroom ... base of toilet dirty, looked like urine or faecal stains. Floor tiles when walked on had water comeing up through them. Gap under main door you could see daylight and the draft was quite bad. Complaint made to staff who were very helpful and did move me as I'd asked but not until the next day.
3.6
Very positive experience from start to finish. The staff were all very welcoming and friendly, couldn't do more to help.
We ate in the restaurant in the evening, they accommodated the children, breakfast was lovely the next morning. The same member of staff looked after us for both meals and he was a real credit to the hotel, so friendly and polite and couldn't do enough to help.

Property was easy to find. Julie, receptionist, was very welcoming and upgraded us without being asked. Room was nicely furnished and decorated but the bathroom was very small.

It was a pleasure staying there and staff were very friendly. The room was spacious and comfortable. I would recommend people staying there.

Great location, nice quiet room. Fully stocked tea and coffee facilities.

Hotel is very conveniently located for my reason to stay but (outside) rooms are in need of a bit of TLC. Thumbs up to the housekeeping team, and for the cleaning and replacement of items, they get a big thumbs up compared to likes of Travelodge/Premier Inn.

Great stay and great staff!
3.6
Everything was great. Only thing that would of been better is if they had served lunch as well as breakfast and dinner
3.6
Very friendly and helpful staff. No hot water first night but subsequently moved to another room which was great. No further problems
3.6
Booked 2 nights for a visit to BSB snetterton, hotel was well located, clean, comfortable, good food and helpful, friendly staff
3.6
Well appointed, large rooms, with comfortable beds.
Bathroom was a little dated, unlike the rest of the room, and shower over the bath left a little to be desired by modern standards. However, pricing was reasonable so can't complain too much!
Service was quite slow in the restaurant at both breakfast and dinner. Breakfast was fine. Dinner was not the best food I've ever had but by no means bad. Disappointed that a service charge was automatically added to the bill without my knowledge at dinner.
A little off the beaten track and need to be able to drive to get to the nearest town.
3.6
Quite basic rooms, nothing special. Comfortable bed good.
Dining room a real shock for the evening meal, dull and depressing; It was light outside and it had large windows and curtains, but all curtains were closed and little lights were on. The dining room was dark and without atmosphere - not pleasant to enjoy a meal in. Food average.
Breakfast was in the same room, but this time with the curtains open - so marginally better. But a lack of essential items spoilt it; no fruit juice whatsoever and the chef was unable to produce the porridge requested; we heard that they ran out of milk ! No receptacle to place spent tea bags.
3.6
The hotel was very close to a main road and although the room was a distance away I was woken up with traffic noise at 4am with the radiator vibrating with each lorry.
Food was average.
Reception staff very friendly.
3.6
Hotel was a bit tired. Breakfast staff could not cope with so many guests. The air freshener was so strong in my room, it made the coffee mugs taste of it.
3.6
Outdated hotel where they charge you a small fortune (£20 per person!) for a severely limited buffet breakfast... Save your money and go elsewhere or at least save some money and have breakfast out in Diss. The room and bathroom was very outdated.
3.6
Very friendly staff great warm check in
3.6
I was moved to an outside chalet/room (14) as there was a wedding party and my original room was next door to the main function room....I was told. I thanked the staff member for his consideration but wish sincerely he hadn't bothered moving me. The noise would have eventually stopped next to the function room, but it didn't in room 14. An incessant drone, dying down for a brief time then returning with a vengeance. Awful. This room should not be used !!
