A delightful brick and flint cottage situated in a wonderful elevated position, with miles of footpaths through stunning countryside on your doorstep. This stunning cottage is for holidaymakers only.. 1 step to entrance.

Nixey Cottage is situated in the picturesque village of Frieth on the edge of Hambleden Valley, only a short drive from the popular and attractive market town of Marlow. You’ll be in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and as soon as you start getting closer to your holiday cottage, you’ll understand why, the countryside is simply breath-taking! The cottage is spread over three floors and provides lovely accommodation for your friends and family to enjoy a short break or week stay in this beautiful part of the country. Live TV can be enjoyed with your loved ones via the apps on the Smart TV. Rustle up a celebratory dinner in the well-equipped kitchen or on a sunnier day, fire up the barbecue in the garden. If you fancy a night off cooking, there is a good foodie pub just metres away from the cottage, or another drinking pub just down the road. Enjoy the miles of footpaths from the front door whilst admiring the red kites soar overhead. You’ll certainly experience a restful stay that no one will want to go home.
There are excellent shopping facilities in the local towns of Henley-on-Thames and Marlow, which offer a variety of shops, pubs and good local restaurants, and are just a short drive away. They both feature railway stations with links to London Paddington via Maidenhead and Twyford respectively. Other local towns include Stokenchurch, 6 miles, and Maidenhead, 10 miles, for more amenities.
There are many stately homes and National Trust properties in the area, including Chequers, the prime minister’s country estate, Great Missenden with its curving high street of half-timbered houses and Georgian shops, and the Roald Dahl Museum and Story Centre. For wine lovers, a trip to Chiltern Valley Winery and Brewery is a must and is just under 3 miles away. Marlow, Henley and Windsor provide attractive access for riverside walks along the Thames Path, and also have a wealth of restaurants, boutiques and cafés. Other notable places of interest include Hughenden Manor, Hell Fire Caves and Swan Theatre. Pub within 1 mile.

Had a wonderful few days. The village is very quaint and the people are friendly. The cottage we rented was very well furnished, extremely clean and not lacking in any amenities. Any problems and Debbie the manager was always available to hand. Not that we had any major issues. I would highly recommend this property

This property was actually better than the pictures! Communication was fabulous, the house was very clean and we had a fantastic time.
