My partner and myself loved everything about it. Sean and Gemma were wonderful so friendly and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. They are a credit to the hotel.
The evening meal was superb and the breakfast was just as nice with plenty of choice.
Our room was luxurious, comfortable and clean. We honestly couldn't fault anything about our stay, we found a little gem and would definitely return, also recommend to anyone who is planning on visiting the Cotswolds to stay here. Bampton is a pretty place and an ideal touring base.
Thank you to the Fleur de lys and especially to Sean and Gemma for making our stay a special one.
Nothing to dislike

Stunning restoration of this wonderful old building. Everything like new again but retaining character.
Gorgeous fresh food from limited menu. Easy parking in the road outside. Absolutely wonderful cosy superior bedroom. Excellent breakfast included in the price. Staff were very welcoming. Good value accommodation mid week.
Wine was pricey.
The lunchtime : "value" menu continued as a cheaper option into the evening during the week but was the same choice three evenings running . Steak was excellent tho as was the wonderful French onion soup.

The hotel was quirky
Staff were friendly
Bed was really comfy
There is nothing I didn’t like
When you come in it looks like a restaurant
Could do with having a more inviting space
Maybe a sofa area to get comfy and sit downstairs for a coffee and cake

The keys to your room rather than impersonal card. Delicious breakfast. Charming owner Olivier. Clean linen spotless room. Value for money.
The personal touch from the Owner

The decor, comfort and food. The staff were very helpful and friendly.
Not keen on dogs in the restaurant but they were not a problem.

They have done a beautiful job in the Qaulity and choice of decor, a lovely relaxing bistro with a nice choice from the menu.
The staff were so welcoming, friendly, polite and helpful.
The bedrooms have also been exquisitely prepared, with a wonderful comfortable bed, furniture French themed, and everything spotlessly clean.
The garden area has also been created with a French feel to it, so relaxing to enjoy a few drinks in, will definitely be returning in the future

The two bedroom suite was beautiful and spacious. A very memorable birthday weekend for my mom. The food was amazing, especially the mussels and soufflé. The hotel manager and staff were wonderful to us. We would love to return!
Nothing, no complaints!

Lovely comfortable room, great evening meal in the bistro and very good breakfast.
Room on the main road side, some road noise from 6am.

The hotel is located in a lovely village. Parking is on the road, no problem, there were several free places. Check-in was easy, staff are helpful, pleasant and polite. The room was incredible, we were upgraded to the deluxe room, tastefully furnished and decorated. Large room, seating area and high spec bathroom which included roll top bath. We wished we stayed for a longer time. Hope to return.
No vegetarian full English breakfast.

Absolutely nothing... .it was fabulous 😊

Friendly and welcoming staff ,good communications pre arrival, lovely room , pretty garden and outside drinks area ...good ambience in the Bistro with fabulous menu and food .Great commitment and engagement from the owner Olivier, and key staff Sean and Ellie to make this new venture in this beautiful Cotswold town a success, which it is already well on the way to being. We will be back as there are so many interesting places to visit in the surrounding area too.
loved the whole experience....

Sadly I never got to try the breakfast as I left the hotel too early every morning, but the food in the evenings was exceptional and great value.
The staff were particularly amazing, as a solo traveller they made me feel very welcome.
The village of Bampton is a lovely location too, shops nearby and close to where I needed to be.
If I was to be really critical, i would say I wish there was some proper parking. It was sometimes a bit of a game trying to find where to park at the end of a day. But it seems no one minds where you park in the street anyway ! As long as it is legal !

Fantastic stay at a beautiful property in a gorgeous village. The twin room was spacious and spotlessly clean, the fixtures and fittings were of a very high standard. The bed was so comfy with plenty of pillows and a lovely throw for the colder nights. The hotel states no parking on the details but over the 3 nights we were there we never had any problems parking just outside the hotel on the main streets, always within view of our window. We will definitely be staying here every time we visit family
There is nothing I didn’t like!

Lovely decor, still smells new and fresh!! Creme brulee and chocolate mousse delicious! Huuuuge bed!
Although breakfast not available at hotel, fully compensated with a free room upgrade and breakfast in the next door cafe paid for! Amazing customer service and communication.
The toilet flush in bedroom wasn’t great. Shower not the most powerful.

We had dinner in the Bistro. Very good
Comfortable bed however the bed quilt was far too heavy and we had difficulty sleeping due to being too hot.
Could do with an extra shelf in shower.

A very chic French hideaway in a lovely Oxfordshire village with very good food!
