Our group had a great stay as we visited Mt Rainier for a long weekend. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking equipment for a large group, and the laundry was a great plus. It was also great to have large common spaces to hang out as a group. Only thing is I wished there was a picture of the office with the fold up beds, as the room was quite small and I didn't really know what to expect.

The house was very spacious. It was great having four bathrooms. Everything we needed was supplied. An abundance of towels and bedding. The game room was a lot of fun. Lots to do near by. Access to the river was just across the street and there was also access to a nearby club to swim and golf. We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend. And beautiful Mt Rainier was very close by.

The house was placed in the quiet but perfect little neighborhood. It was far away enough that our group was able to unplug from social media/ internet yet still close enough to town for us to socialize. The best part was having access to the river (even though the water was cold), it still allowed our group to go outside and explore. There was just enough beds and bedding to accomadate everyone but it was a little different than what was listed on the page, it was fine though since our group was able to figure it out. There was some minor bumps but it was able to be resolved pretty fast once communicated with the owner. Overall, I would come back and stay again!

It was a nice house for the size group we had. It needed some updates but worked for us. It was a cozy house that was well supplied. We ran out of hot water everyday though after 2-4 showers, leaving others to have to take cold ones. Good location to the NP.

In a nutshell:
The property is poorly maintained - things are broken and falling apart. There are a lot of bugs inside the house.
My Experience:
When we arrived the property was still being cleaned - had to wait till 4:30 before we could get in.
The game room had games that were broken (foosball table was falling apart and the air hocky table is in shambles) - there were discarded wrappers around the games and furniture
The grills were dirty and smelled really really bad.
The first night foot board trim on one of the wall falls off - (you could tell it was put back several times and was really lose)
The next day - was supposed to be really hot - we came back to a home around 3 pm to find it was at 86 degrees inside - and the A/C would not work. Host had us troubleshoot the unit by turning off the power to reset the heat pump - It did not work - kept on messaging the host for help - but nothing. Exhausted we finally gave up around 9:00 pm only to wake up in the middle of the night to find the house freezing at around 67. Had to turn the heat on to make it moderately liveable.
Messaged the host in the morning again letting him know the AC was finally working - They insisted they will still have someone come over and check it out.
What is worse ? The host insisted we pay $600 for "damages" to their property (the trim and the non-functional AC).
I should have paid attention to other guests who had similar experiences... Truely a trip from hell...

This place is great! We had extended family and friends for an annual ski weekend and was able to accommodate all of us. So many beds! The whole place is very well organized and labels for where things are. Kitchen was well equipped and all loved the game room. Highly recommend if you have a large group!

This was year 30 of our annual ski trip to Packwood/White Pass. The house was perfect for our group. Plenty of room for all to enjoy spending time together after a day on the slopes. Ryan has done a great job with updating the house and is very helpful and responds quickly to questions. Awesome time had by all.

This property, the home and yard, is not accurately described in the online offering data. The home had not been adequately cleaned, there were insects in the home despite our best efforts during our stay, mouse droppings in the kitchen and food containers chewed through for the final two days, bathrooms inadequately supplied, the outdoor area is entirely uninviting (dirty and unusable outdoor furniture), and we did not have exclusive use of the property...there was an occupied RV present in the yard and a 3-day "yard sale" was conducted on the property during our stay. This is our one and only unsatisfactory experience with VRBO home rentals near National Parks over the last 20 years.

Very spacious house in nice, vacation-friendly neighborhood. Within sight of the river. Local town was fun to visit. Great location for hiking Mt Rainier and Mt St Helens.

Plenty of beds and parking space. Description was accurate, and host was easy to communicate with. Not too far from some dinning options in Packwood. This was the perfect spot for my group of 8 adults, with a little room to spare.

Very comfortable house with plenty of space to spread out. Kitchen was well equipped and living room was very comfortable to gather in. Our only complaint was the plastic sheets on the beds. If I stay again, I would remove them.

Perfect place. Use this as a base camp for MT Rainier hikes. The house is very clean. Multiple sitting areas and everybody felt like they had their own space. Multiple bathrooms. Perfect for large groups. Packwood is a very charming town to stay with multiple restaurants and other amenities that Ashford does not have. Would absolutely stay here again. Check in process was flawless. Hosts were great.

The location is not bad if we consider the river in front however it takes 45 minutes to get to the Gondolas and 1 hour and30 minutes to get to the trails for Mt. Rainer.
The house didn't have furniture to do fire outside or bbq, we found a mouse that we frantically try to dispose and upstairs was poorly clean. The games upstairs were broken like foosball table and hockey.

The house was very nice for our group. It had enough enough beds for everyone of us. It's located a bit outside the town but the location is very, just across the river. It's about 45 mins from Stevens Canyon gate.
The house has a very nice backyard where we enjoyed our evenings. It also has a nice grill. The host is very responsive.
The only issue we encountered was a mouse running amok in the house. Other than that, it's a very nice house.

Overall, it was a good, solid property that afforded my party of 16 a comfortable stay. It was clean, spacious and provided for our needs. As other reviewers have said, it is a more basic property—so, although there are more than enough dishes to eat with, if you are going to cook a great deal like we did, it has the basic supplies you may need, but you also may need to improvise some. Also, the property provides guests with just enough household supplies you may need (e.g., towels, dish soap, trash bags, paper towels, toilet paper, etc.), but not in excess. So, large parties may want to plan on supplementing these supplies if needed. As we had such a large party, we did use every towel in the house (we almost ran short) and had to be strategic about the hot water usage. I’m sure this would not be the case for smaller parties. And, as other guests have said, the mattresses were not the most comfortable. However, it was okay.
Overall, we had enough beds for everyone and the kids/teens/young adults thoroughly enjoyed the game room. They spent a lot of time hanging out in that space playing foozeball and air hockey. The SMART TV in that room was well used by them also, and they enjoyed taking a couple of trips to the river. The additional TV located downstairs was broken when we got there and the grill was smaller than we anticipated (the main grill seemed broken, so there was a replacement grill), but we were able to adjust and had a great time.

It's in the backwoods so it's not ultramodern but it makes up for it in charm. Plenty of space for a whole big family. It was super clean and plenty of bed space and seating for everyone to be comfortable. Our favorite "amenity" was the river access across the street. Some of the most stunning views of the Cowlitz River you'll ever see with rocks to throw and logs to sit on and enjoy the rush of the river. The house had all the kitchen amenities we needed. I would say the biggest downside was the carpet didn't have any padding underneath so you were walking on carpeted concrete downstairs. But the hardwoods throughout the rest of the house was lovely. Lots of parking and friendly neighbors. Our only complaints were that there was supposed to be sleeping arrangements for 16 but one of the bunkbeds was broken before we got there and we didn't know. That is the reason for the low listing accuracy star rating. And also they mattresses are NOT high quality. It was a little less than enjoyable on them but we were still able to get the sleep we needed.
Overall, lovely stay. Lovely departure from the hussle and bussle of city life. The Packwood Flea Market over Memorial Day Weekend was AMAZING!!! Just 10 minutes from this rental.

We had an amazing stay at this property! We had planned a weekend of fun at the pass and the location was perfect! Clean home! Very prepared home as well! The property has items we didn’t even realize we could’ve needed(tinfoil) and had all the necessary cooking necessities!

We have an annual family ski trip during the holidays with three different parent/kid groups coming together, so finding the right accommodations can be challenging. This spot hit every one of our marks. Plenty of space, game/recreation options, beds for everyone, and closed doors for those that needed them. Highly recommend for a large group hitting the park or White Pass!

It was nice having my whole family together we went skiing then came back and had our Christmas together it was nice having everyone spending in one house

We stayed here to celebrate Christmas a bit early, and get some skiing in. The house was quite large and well-stocked. We were close enough to skiing to enjoy a full day, but far enough to have no crowds. The neighborhood is very peaceful and the very small hike to the river was beautiful.

Nice place to stay. Kids love to play foosball and air hockey

The home is located in a very quiet neighborhood with lots of beautiful trees. Access to the Cowlitz river was close and easy. The property is huge with lots of space for large groups. The only issue with the home was that the air conditioning did not work. Fortunately it was not terribly hot and opening the windows at night cooled the house down.

We loved the area and Packwood!! The kids loved how close the river was to walk to. We hiked 2 different hikes in Mt. Ranier and wish we had more time in the area. The owners were so accommodating and quick to respond. We thought we would arrive early per our flight arrival time but construction and other traffic kept us from arriving early but they were very willing to help us out! Thanks from the Stephens family.

We enjoyed our stay here. Our parents had the ground floor and we had the second floor. We had our cousins over for dinner and Monopoly one night. Plenty of room and kitchen appliances. Plenty of plates and silverware. Happy memories of our stay here.

We had a great stay, the house was huge and we were able to fit our family of 6 adults and 2 children very spaciously! The house was very clean, and had lots of amenities for a comfortable stay. The house is about a 10 minute drive behind Packwood, about 45 mins-1 hr 15 minutes to Mt Rainier, depending on where you’re headed. The river access across the street was the favorite amongst the little ones! The only issue we had was the beds were not super comfortable to us as we are used to memory foam mattresses/toppers, but they were fine for our 3 night stay.

My extended family from London and my family from the US loved the house. Check in was super easy. The instructions proved to be simple and accurate and easy to follow. Wifi hook up, which we needed for work, was flawless unlike our previous house we rented in Glacier National Park last week.
The house was clean and plenty big enough for all 7 of us. The beds were comfortable and the pillows were great. Pillows are a big deal.
The kitchen was big enough for all of us to move around in and the dinning room table was also big enough. We just had to move a chair over to get all of us around the table.
The location was near a town large enough to be able to go out to dinner and get gas and groceries. The house was about an hour from both Sunrise and Paradise which was great.
Check out at 11 in a big plus also. We appreciated that extra hour.
The only negative doesn't have to do with the house but with the trash situation. When we arrived the trash was full so we had no where to put our trash. Other than that, we loved this house and would highly recommend it anyone wanting to stay near Mt. Rainier for a few days.

The spacious house was perfect place for a gathering of families and friends. The river access across the street offered a great area for the kids to play and run around.
