We camp yearly in Down East Maine, this year we had a wedding to attend and rented this house. From start to finish we thoroughly enjoyed this property . It was clean, well stocked and located close to Acadia. We enjoyed kayaking, the fire pit and the peaceful surroundings. We highly recommend this house and will inquire about one of the water front cabins in the future . 5 plus stars and the host was extremely communicative and responsive. Perfect weekend.

This was a great location for our trip to Acadia. Not too bad of a drive and away from the craziness in Bar Harbor. The house had plenty of room for our group of 7 adults/teens, and the pond is beautiful. We wished we had better weather to enjoy the kayaks and campfire, but we had a great stay anyway.

The house was great for our stay. The pond was calm and the kayaking was relaxing. Acadia is close by. I would highly recommend this vacation place to anyone.

The host, Eddie, is very nice and super helpful with any questions. The house was clean and had lots of fans for those who need white noise at night like me. The firepit was a big hit for my friends and I and the lake is absolutely beautiful.

A friend and I stayed here for a few nights while working on another property on lower Toddy Pond. The house was clean, the beds were quite comfortable, and the kitchen was well equipped. The heat pump kept the place comfortably cool throughout our stay. The waterfront is nice and we fished a bit from the dock, but mostly just returned to the house in the evenings to relax.

This location was our first VRBO stay for a family vacation. The location is close to Acadia Park and is dog friendly. The waterfront is accessible with a small pier and stairs and the waterway is beautiful with Loons calling at night. The accommodations were perfect for our family with plenty of space and our Samoyed loved the time spent with everyone. This is a great location for families with children to visit. The grocery store Hannaford is approx. 15 mins away and we saved a lot of money with cooking at the rental. There are cabin rentals on the property in very close proximity that will hinder those wanting privacy but we were fortunate to visit early in the season while the cabins were being prepped. Parking is limited but we only had two cars so this wasn’t an issue. Eddie, the host, was very attentive and checked in with us throughout our stay to ensure everything was going well. Check out was easy and we enjoyed our stay.

We stayed as a family of 6. The house is excellent. All the bedrooms were spacious and convenient. The bathrooms were very roomy and clean. The whole downstairs gave a wooden cabin feel where you can feel comfortable away from home. There is a lake just behind the house for the beautiful sunsets. Our mornings were spent playing games with kids outside having breakfast on the table in front of the house. We cooked breakfast at the house. The grocery store is very close by. Our days were full of sightseeing, hiking. Its a bit of drive to Acadia National Park but time just flies looking at the scenic beauty. After it got dark we would all get around the fire pit and make smores. For some of us who wanted to stay up very late (like myself) we would just open a wine bottle and sit outside watching stars while kids can catch a movie on netflix. Great time away from home for everyone.

It’s hard to find a roomy place that is low stress to stay with dogs. This place was perfect! Two full baths made it easy to stay with our adult kids who had their own space upstairs.
The house was clean and the hosts very responsive. It’s also, very cool to watch the renovations of the cabins in front of the house.
The “pond” (the size of a typical lake) is a short 30 seconds walk and it’s a clean and beautiful.
If you like to hike there are so many trails within a ten minute drive. The views on Great Pond Mountain are superb.
If you are going to Acadia, this is a nice place to come home to at night from the hustle and bustle of that area. Cheaper to stay in this area too! (Just go to a grocery store in Bar Harbor and look at jacked up tourist prices.)
Bucksport with Fort Knox is a short 10 minutes away, and I must see as well.
I want to thank our hosts for a great stay!
