We previously stayed here when they first opened, and enjoyed the stay so decided to return. It was a surprise to find they do not valet park anymore, and you have to pay $15-$20 per day to park in the hotel parking lot. Check in was great. Traveling was a group with 3 different rooms, they made sure we were on the same floor, had rooms with a view, and were near each other which was nice. Out of the 3 rooms, one had blood stains on the sheets, and TV didn’t work, and one had white stains on the side of the bed. One was fine. They changed the sheets and fixed the tv promptly the next morning. The floors weren’t the cleanest, but fine.
They do charge an extra $6 occupancy fee, and charge you for in room WiFi, which they did not disclose at check in. Those charges were a surprise on the emailed bill. They also wouldn’t take cash for items purchased at the front desk, and when charged to the room they add an automatic gratuity.
I guess next time I go to Deadwood I will shop around and check hidden fees at hotels before booking. Will probably not choose to stay here again…unless we had to. For the price and extra charges I would have just stayed at a cheap hotel like the mineral palace…last I stayed there they did not have all of the hidden fees and pay for parking.

Rude staff member at check-in. I paid a ped cleaning fee for a room that had not been cleaned properly. My pet located a pill that was on the bathroom floor, and she also was able to clean the floor of the popcorn that was left behind.

This was an almost perfect place to stay. We only had a problem finding a place to walk the dog. There's either a busy sidewalk--totally unacceptable--or rocks in the back of the parking area--also unacceptable. We had to walk our small dog a quarter mile away to find a small patch of grass. There's just so few places in downtown Deadwood that has grass. That was our only problem. We will stay there again.

Only issue with staff was at check in. He was rude because I booked off a 3rd party site and treated me like I was less of a customer. Maybe he was having a bad day but his attitude with the person in front of me was completely different. Nice and present with him.
Overall the hotel is great! The fine dining was fantastic! Convenient too!!

Hotel was very nice and well kept
The only thing that was a little concerning was that housekeeping did not clean nor provide clean towels everyday. Matter of fact we stayed three night and only saw housekeeping at 4 pm the day before departure

Hotel was newer and nice. There was no free parking onsite, I had to park 2 blocks away for $15.00/ night. No free breakfast as advertised. Very thin walls, could hear the adjoining room tv all night. Not worth the price.

The hotel is well maintained and clean. Rooms are big, including a large bathroom. Very quick check-in and easy parking for an extra $20.
Walking distance to sights in Deadwood.
Do not drink the coffee in the room or the lobby...go to Starbucks.

Only bad thing is, is there is VERY LIMITED PARKING AND then extra charges for parking away from the property.

Super nice hotel, very friendly staff, excellent location in Deadwood. Parking is limited and there is a nightly fee, but they give you back the parking cost each day in rewards on your player card.
