We had the most lovely stay at Cedar House. The house in itself was above expectation, not only was it spacious, open plan and built to high spec, it was also the little details (welcome hamper, kitchen and toilet essentials, a detailed user manual, cook books etc) that made our stay special. The views from the house were stunning. The location is good, close to Lyme Regis and Axminster and other places worthwhile visiting in Devon and Dorset.
In addition to all of this, the owner went out of her way to locate and personal post to us a piece of jewellery we had mistakenly placed in the bin before we left.
Thank you so much!

The property was exactly as advertised. We had a very comfortable stay and appreciated the extra touches to welcome us and to make us feel at home. Useful was the information on things to do in the region. Thank you Sarah, we had an excellent family holiday!

The Cedar House was a splendid place for our family gathering. Lovely bedrooms and a large open-plan downstairs were all ideal, and each excellently equipped. The stunning views out over the countryside gave an added dimension to our stay, as did the beach hut. In short - highly recommended.

Uplyme Cedar House
This was an ideal property to stay in for our grown up family. Very modern with plenty of space. The views from the rear of the property are amazing and it was a pleasure to wake up everyday to the picture perfect view of the valley below. Every thing that you would need has been thought of and there are some really nice quality touches around the property.

Belated 50th
From the moment we arrived to the time we left it was perfect. Amazing property. Really luxurious. Views stunning. Had a really good selection of equipment for cooking and eating. Only one very small prob. It felt really warm at night for everyone. Probably just us but it would of been more comfortable at around 18 c. Having said that everything else was amazing. You could easily walk into Lyme Regis, the walk back might be harder for some. It was quiet and really peaceful. I could of looked at that view all day. I’d definitely return. It has wonderful little touches everywhere. Lovely 🥰

Wonderful Holiday
The Cedar House is the best equipped holiday home i've ever stayed in. Our host Sarah has a great eye for the small details that make all the difference; blankets, super soft bed linen, candles, BBQ, beautifully equipped beach hut etc.
Sarah always relied promptly when needed and it was obvious that it's her passion to make people feel at home, relaxed and to gift them a memorable vacation.
Thank you Sarah!

Great cottage with countryside views
There was just the two of us staying here and we loved every minute of it. Great views from every room and modern furnishings throughout. Everything from the kitchen to the laundry room has been thought through with attention paid to providing you with everything you need for the stay. Loved the seating outdoors and the access to the beach hut, which we used regularly. Highly recommend staying here and we can't wait to go back in the near future with our families.

Modern, Spacious and very comfortable
Fabulous design, high quality fixtures, fittings and appliances. Comfortable beds with good linen and towels. Extremely well equipped with everything we could possibly want, including glorious views! We are seven ‘mature’ and rather fussy friends, who have spent the new year holiday in various locations, in the UK and abroad, for the last sixteen years - The Cedar House, Uplyme ranks among the best.

An excellent property with a homely atmosphere.
My grandchildren, 7 and 6, were so taken by the wonderful rooms that they 'bagged' the main bedroom themselves! Superbly equipped and beautifully finished, craftsmanship at it's best. The beach hut was also well equipped and located central to the beaches.
I would strongly recommend this property, my whole family enjoyed it. Whether cooking or lounging it has everything you need.

Fabulous stay
Well worth the money, beautifully designed house with lots of expensive extras & thoughtful touches. Way above normal holiday home standard. Gorgeous view on a quiet lane. Highly recommended...even my grumpy teenage son had to admit that it was something special!

Magnificent house.
Loved the house. Sarah thought of everything. Didn’t want to leave. We named Uplyme uppercrust Lyme. Beautiful area magnificent views. Great pathway down to Lyme Regis. Fun beach hut. Don’t eat at Hix- friends did - a rip off plus rude. I highly recommend this house - worth the cost.

Lovely stay in Dorset
Best house we've ever stayed in (& most expensive). The house was perfect in so many ways, the kids (14,14 & 9) loved it , though it might be tricky with younger children, and it helped make our first visit to Dorset special.
We walked and cycled (challenging) around the area and especially enjoyed walking to the beach hut.

Wow !!! What a find !!!!!
I have just returned from a 4 night stay at Cedar House with my husband, father and a friend ....wow we loved it from the beautiful welcome hamper when we arrived to the ...having to leave the amazing view at the end!! The house is wonderful - immaculate and luxurious, we felt chilled as soon as we unpacked and opened the wine.
Sarah the owner couldn't be more helpful and was a delight to deal with. I left it as I found it and hope future clients do the same as this is a much loved home - thanks again Sarah can't wait to return.

Fantastic house and location
We had a wonderful stay at the Cedar House (4 adults and 3 children). Everything you could need was provided and the house was spotlessly clean and so comfortable and spacious. A lovely garden area too and the children has a great time. Some quality touches too, e.g. basket of essentials waiting for us and liquid soap in the bathrooms. We will definitely be returning!

A wonderful place to stay
We enjoyed our stay in Cedar House immensely. The house is well designed, comfortable and well equipped. The view from the kitchen and main living area is stunning. The bedrooms were all comfortable and spacious with modern high-spec bathrooms. The carpet pile was deep underfoot and the towels were thick and white. Everything was spotless. Thank you for a great holiday!

Luxury modern villa, beautifully furnished
We had a lovely week in this beautiful, modern house, equipped to 5-star standard: comfortable beds, gorgeous bathrooms, all the kitchen amenities you could think of, high-tech TV, barbecue, sun beds - even down to its own Ordnance Survey map! And then waking up to the beautiful views. Its on a hill a mile out of Lyme Regis, a half hour walk along the river into the town. A peaceful base from which to explore this lovely coastline. Definitely coming back.
