I asked for bath tub (not just shower) and got that.
Didn't replenish some of the toiletries (eg soap)
Ordered taxi for 4.30 am (to get to airport) and it wasn't there.
3.5
Unique backstory, interesting lobby and great small themes in things form the furniture to the rugs in the room.
TV didn’t work, phones didn’t work, toilet ran constantly (all of these I called about and were not fixed), the escalator went out day 2, cocktails at the bar are outrageously expensive as is stuff in the room. You stay here for a story and no more.
4.5
Everything was great, from the spacious room to the functional amenities. The staff were welcoming and friendly, and the food served through room service was delicious.
One improvement could have been a coffee maker in the room.

Good location. Charles Str is full of nice little shops and cafes.
Clean rooms. Ok service.
Interesting concept with the prison remade to a hotel. Nice looking lobby.
Rooms are too empty and poorly equipped We had one bathrobe for 2 guests. No umbrella, though Boston is a rainy city. Weirdly no toilet brush (!)
71$ (!!!) for valet parking PER NIGHT. 15$ per day for a not-so-fast wi-fi. 12$ for a bottle of water in the room. Simply too expensive for no reason.
Loud music in the lobby at night.
Another little thing that bumped for us (considering it’s a “luxury” hotel) is that when we ordered food in the hotel - no one sent it up to our room - so we had to go downstairs at night ourselves when we expected someone to deliver it to us.
4.0
Location of hotel. Decor of the room. Restaurants of high quality
Comfortable chair for reading. Couch in room was not comfortable. I object to the $25 fee on top of the room rate. I received no value for that fee.

Nice renovation from an old jailhouse.
The door of the toilet in the room is not good design. There is a big crack even when the door is closed. It can see clearly from the outside . It’s very embarrassing for me a a mother sharing a room with my son. As he walk past can see inside when I am in the toilet.

This hotel is a 20s and 30s-something party place and bar, with second emphasis only on lodging. Unfriendly bar staff and difficult to navigate valet due to weekend crushing crowds. Would never recommend. Also photos online are deceptive.
Crowds of drunk kids. Rude bar-staff. Lousy location for walking around.

3rd time at this hotel, great place but service has changed. Poor management noticed on this trip, caters to outside public more than guest.

everything about the hotel was great.
call the hotel after I checked out to let them know I forgot something in the room. Seem like the staff really didn't care emailed me 6hrs later.

The history of the building is wonderful. I love the views and proximity to antique row
I’m not sure if it was the inconsiderate nature of some guest or if the corridors just echo but it is extremely loud

The location was pure perfection! A little tricky to find by car, but once we figured the turns out, ideal! The hotel is classic and rich with history. Pure elegance and welcoming staff. Our room was incredible! Walkable to so many parts of the city. Loved every thing about our stay!

They did their best to get us in our room early as requested ( 1/2 hr) and offered a late check out of 2pm that was perfect

The convenience of the property to Beacon Hill. The history is amazing. The beautiful decor and the staff are extremely kind, knowledgeable. Everyone always has a smile on their face. Highly staying at this hotel.

Staff was really great and it was a cute hotel.
There were small things like no bathroom light, and the bed wasn't to what I like, but that's subjective.
5.0
Historical and beautiful - I mean, an old jail into a hotel ? C’mon !! Staff was attentive and friendly.
It was so expensive ! I don’t agree with paying a service fee and a parking fee when a hotel is this expensive for a night.
4.5
Excellent location. Within walking distance of a lot attractions
Flushing toilet very loud.
3.0
Breakfast was expensive, as expected, but the portion was surprisingly large and great.
For the amount of money spent during my stay I expected the staff to be more friendly. The valet was rude when asked a question. The concierge, they were not friendly or informative, just rushed me. The cleaning crew was nice. Some of the outlets did not work, and iron didn't work. The hotel parking is $69/day, and that was ridiculous.

staff was excelllent ...
Shower head pressure is weak, and the water has an unwelcome smell, like it's 'gray' or recycled water.
2.0
Clean, nice rooms, good design
For the price, very disappointed. Typically I would expect things like a fitness center (not just a small room that’s missing various weights), free Wi-Fi (they have free “basic Wi-Fi” which is so slow I could hardly load google — you need to upgrade for faster Wi-Fi for a fee), more attention to detail, etc. This was a good hotel but felt like a waste of money compared to similarly priced and rated hotels we’ve stayed in elsewhere.

The service is just brilliant. The concierge team, the front desk and the team that receives you when you get to the hotel. All in all brilliant!
