I was more than happy with the location, breakfast is continental, eggs, tea/coffee, toast and watermelon. Room was perfect for us. No TV. No chair in my room. They would come and make the beds daily, and take the trash. I would open my doors so I could get more fresh air as they don't have AC, but the weather was nice. in the 80's not too hot. I felt safe. I would recommend the Hostel.
Overall, it was pleasant to be in the Hostel, you can come and go as you please, and the location is a plus. Breakfast could get boring, but if you don't mind eggs every morning you could save your self a meal. I would recommend for the fruit to very.

I had booked a dorm bed, but because there was a huge group they had to accompdate they gave me a single room without extra charge. The room and what I saw of the hostel were very well kept.

Nice design. Good for the price. Not the best breakfast but at least it's included.
WiFi is unsuablly slow. Got less than 2mbps usually. The room traps heat in even with the windows fully open. Need a better ventilation system. The fan in the room is too loud as well, and it was quite uncomfortable during the night. Also, 1st floor bathroom was broken the whole time despite them saying it'll be fixed within a day.

Located near the center, staff friendly, breakfast is good and rooftop is amazing. The room was comfortable for the price.
Our room was very warm and with window on the ceiling so no other option than waking up early.

The housekeeper lady is really nice and friendly, she makes a fantastic breakfast. Chat with her is very touching. The house is big and beautiful, full of little tiny place to rest.
Is surrounded for may bars and dark streets, no far away from turistic streets but far enough to have a bad experience. Is really noisy because is on a main avenue, and for some reason staff makes a lot of noise at night.
The price is higher than in booking.

Nice and quiet, well protected from the noise of the street. The central patio, the first floor terrace and the rooftop are great to chill. Near the main square and the market Benito Juárez.
A bit expensive compared to equivalent hostels in other Mexican cities

good location, friendly staff, nice communal areas, great breakfast. overall had a nice vibe
room felt very dirty, outdated and had broken windows. no free drinking water. Water doesn’t come out of the shower properly as it clearly hasn’t been cleaned in a while.

good location, friendly staff.
Our room felt like a prison. the bed was very uncomfortable and the towels were soiled. wifi didn’t work in the room. the water was hit and miss from the tap and shower.

Good value for money. Free breakfast was decent, scrambled eggs with toast fruit and coffee. Room was a decent size. They let us check in so early!! We arrived at 6 AM and our room was ready which was amazing.
Not a sociable hostel. There was probably one other group there and it was a family.

Very cheap for a nice place in downtown with breakfast included. Most places charge twice as much, no breakfast. The staff is really nice and they work hard to keep the place clean and open the door for you, 24/7, as one has to ring the bell to let guests in. They accept credit cards.
The bathroom is shared, which is not ideal, but it is fine and clean. There was a water shutdown once.

There was one very kind hearted member of staff. Who was generous and giving and seemed very sweet. I think she should consider working in a Hostel that matches her nature! She was kind enough to give my daughters gifts. Very nice lady!
The photos of the property did not match the actual photos. The photos were taken years ago. The place requires more work. Even something simple like a splash of paint would make a big difference but the look of the place matches the attitude of the staff and even the "boss" of the Hostel. No one really cares. The photos lie about the conditions and look of the room, many of the sun beds upstairs are broken our daughter cut herself on the sharp edges. Most of the staff are robotic and seem to have worked there since the photos on booking were taken! They seem to have lost the will to care! The price is far to high for such conditions! Upon leaving we took a taxi from outside the hostel. At the end of our journey we left our laptop in the taxi. We came back to the hostel because they have cameras outside the entry looking out onto the street that could show us the taxi number and company name. I came to ask them to help. They nodded and smiled though their teeth. Their boss would come only in the evening,. Only he could access the cameras. I expressed the importance of this computer and the information on it. I understood it was not their fault we left the computer, but with their cameras they could help us to get the laptop back. She called the boss who also did not really care and had no interest to come to the hostel and access the camera video, if there was one at all! So I left my number and she said they would call in the evening with the video results. Evening came and no call, no one cared, so I called and they said call tomorrow morning. The man claimed the camera could not see the taxi number or the company. We found this strange, so we came in person. We asked to see the video ourselves due to the importance or talk with the boss, they lied to us. No one had seen any video and no one cared. A simple task of watching 5 minutes of video to help us get back the laptop was too much for them! To stay here is a wrong vote! Wrong place to pay!

The location was good and the beds were also good. The room was really big, also the bathroom, really nice.
There were mosquitos in the room and the breakfast could be a bit more/different.

Location was great. Free breakfast was a good addition. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Rooms could do with a spruce up, they were clean but a bit tired.

Location is ideal, the free breakfast was good and staff were lovely
There was zero atmosphere for a hostel

Extremely friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast
My room was very hot and the fan wasn't enough

This place is spot on. It's simple, quaint, and has everything you need for few days in Oaxaca. The staff is friendly, there's a nice patio as well as rooftop patio. When I stayed there the crowd was more of an older traveler crowd as opposed to young party hostel vibe.
The breakfast was kinda flavorless - white toast, scrambled eggs, weak coffee.
