About this house rental
1 The Green is a delightful 4 bed-roomed holiday cottage in the village of Muston in the Vale of Belvoir (pronounced “Beever”).
This house is a favourite with dog walkers, families and for family reunions and weddings. It is cosy in the winter and peaceful in the summer. Many guests are returners.
The house is actually two farm cottages joined together to make a family house of four bedrooms with gas central heating. The house is newly restored in a sympathetic style using natural ecological paint, and is furnished with antique pieces to suit the house. There is an ample supply of glassware, china and linen. There is a large kitchen with electric stove, microwave oven, fridge, freezer, washing machine and tumble drier; a large sitting- room with television and open fire and an elegant separate dining- room/study.
There are two double bedrooms with double beds and two single bedrooms. There is a bathroom, shower room and a downstairs cloakroom. Outside there is a large front lawn, and at the rear a patio garden. A small conservatory serves as a store for bicycles, walking gear and garden furniture.

Great stay for a rowing event in Nottingham. Not too far to travel and out of the hustle and bustle of the city. Property was great, had everything we needed. Thank you x

We had a lovely stay with our 2 dogs. The house was well equipt, clean and homely. There were plenty of places to walk the dogs. The owner was really great in terms of responding to communications. Had a wonderful stay. Would defiantly stay again.

A very comfortable house in the heart of a beautiful village. The neighbours were wonderfully kind, as was the owner, who did everything to ensure that we had a pleasant stay. Highly recommended!

The cottage is situated in a beautiful peaceful village. There is lot of places of interest within 30mins drive or countless walks available. House is very well equipped, clean and the interior is very well designed. Utterly worth it.

The cottage is situated in a peaceful rural environment yet just a minute or two's drive from the A52 with easy access to Grantham, Nottingham and beyond. The cottage itself is spacious and homely with every facility you could wish for. We loved it.
Lynn has thought of everything and likes to communicate personally to ensure her guests are fully briefed about the cottage, its history and the local area.
Fabulous!

We booked the cottage to bring in the new year, how glad we were to book with Lynn, from the first booking enquiry to leaving
the property everything was superb, everything you need for your stay is in the cottage. There are plenty of walks to go on,local pub(restaurant )is 10/15 mins walk, just make sure you have the bulk of your food/drink when you go in,there are no big supermarkets nearby(nearest is about 5 miles).Wouldn't hesitate to book with Lynn again.

Lovely property in a very attractive setting and very reasonably priced. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.

We are 3 seniors we stayed for one week. Everything was as it should be except the shower cubicle. We did not use it because the sliding doors were not safe and appeared to be falling off. This was not a problem for us as we had a hand held shower over the bath. This is only a small problem and didn’t affect our enjoyment of the stay overall. Thank you for an opportunity to stay in your comfortable home

A fab property in a great little village. Brilliant kids park round the corner. Very clean. A few items needed repair but was really well equipped, particularly the kitchen which in some rentals we have had we have found key items missing. Will definitely stay again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. It was our third visit and we hope to come again.

Very clean, spacious property - ideally suited for a family get together.

The cottage is easy to find and well positioned but could do with a little maintenance and a couple of upgrades. The shower isn't great and doesn't drain well. My stepfather in law pulled the plug out to find it matted with black hair. Likewise the dining and kitchen furniture is very rickety and wobbly and could probably do with replacing with something more comfortable.
It is also described a 2 x Twin / Single rooms but they are definitely single rooms in each, there is no second bed.

We have visited 1 The Green on many occasions, but not usually in the Summer. It was lovely to sit out in the peaceful sunny garden and hear horses walking down the lane.

As a family we enjoy our stays. Thank you

This is our favorite "home away from home" when spending time in the UK. Perfect for our family group of 6.
US visitors need to remember that personal washcloths are rarely provided in the UK, and you will need electric converters that are appropriate for phoned and computers (usually available at UK airports). This house has all the room you will need, including bathroom facilities.
Village restaurant does pizza and carvery (very reasonable) Church in neighboring Bottesford is a beautiful and friendly church. Coop in neighboring Bottesford has most food and miscellaneous if you don't feel like travelling to Grantham.

A well equipped property perfectly clean and comfortable, it was the ideal base for us attending a family wedding.
A lovely village location with areas to explore.
Would definitely stay again when in the area.
Easy communication with the host who gave us good tips for taxis etc

Beautiful property in a lovely location. Immaculately decorated and furnishedand equipped with ith everything, and more, we needed for our group of friends for a few days away.
The village was very peaceful and quiet with not a sound to be heard during the night and we all said the beds were some of the most comfortable beds we had ever slept in.
Lynn was very pleasant and easy to deal with and couldn't do enough for us. We even met the neighbours who were all very welcoming and friendly.
We are already thinking about a return visit in the summer so we can make good use of the lovely garden.
A very pleasant stay in a beautiful house in a lovely location.

Lovely walks for the dogs right outside the door.
House was plenty warm enough, loads of room for six people and three dogs.
Nice pub approx 8 mins away, the Dirty Duck.

A beautiful, well equipped house suitable for a family and a dog. We all thought it was perfect including our cavapoo who enjoyed the walk down the little lane straight into open countryside.

Nice cottage, quiet location within walking distance of a pub/carvery. Everything needed was available, just a bit dated.

Wonderful week staying in Muston
We have just returned from a wonderfully relaxed week staying in Muston. The house was perfect for our needs, very spacious and comfortable and Lynn, the owner, was very helpful and practical in terms of her communication with us prior to our visit. The house is charming and situated in a tiny but very pretty village. There were plenty of places to visit around. We brought our greyhound, who is quite calm and docile and she settled in very well. We will definitely visit again, I felt very much at home whilst there.

This is the place to chill. The property has everything on hand, I don't think there was anything we couldn't find or need. Lovely location, this has to be one of the best rentals for us, especially the location. Beautiful quiet local walks in an area that isn't over developed at the moment! We also visited Stamford, which felt like I was back in the Cotswolds. A gem of a town, not to be missed if you are nearby.

Great base for touring and only an hour from London on the train.

Beautiful cottage that has been well cared for and loved over the years. Felt like home and was a great place to get together with the rest of the family -plenty of room for 3 of us to stay and to host the other 5. Nice walks along the canal, fun playground round the corner, horses as neighbours, lovely tea room just a few minutes walk away (though unfortunately only open one weekend we were there.) We enjoyed the pizza at the Gap Inn. Walked along the canal to the Dirty Duck. Visited Woolsthorpe Manor (home of Isaac Newton) which was interesting but small. Enjoyed seeing Belvoir castle in the distance. Easy drive into Nottingham to see family and do shopping and quick drive to Grantham to get a train to London. All in all, this was perfect for us!
