We stayed for four days as a family group. New grandparents, parents and baby. Everyone enjoyed their stay. Quite village but close to Stow and other much busier places. Cottage was amazing and the best equipped place i have ever stayed. Beds very comfortable house lovely so well maintained. Loved our stay. Many thanks. A travel cot would have been a bonus

We spent a great week in the cottage. Mike was easily reachable, the cottage has all comfort needed, the village pub offers great food and there is only a 30 minutes walk to stow. Great spot to visit the Cotswolds!

Absolutely amazing!! Had a wonderful time at this gorgeous property. Perfect location to explore the Cotswolds!

Good location with lots of activities for children

Good value for money. Would sleep 6 but better 3 or 4 adults and 1 or 2 children. The water tower has no storage or space except for the 2 small beds. The dining rooms chairs should be replaced. They will break soon.Kitchen is extremely well set up. Very impressed with that.

The cottage was lovely and spacious but the only thing that let it down in our opinion was the water tower was shown to look as if it was larger but it was very small but apart from that it was lovely
Lovely walks and lovely pub
4.8
The cottage is beautiful, since we stayed during a heatwave the amount of bugs was a bit too high but this has nothing to do with the property. We struggled to keep the rear doors open because of this.
Very well located and the towns which we wanted to visit were all a few miles away by car.

Main house was lovely and spacious but water tower was a little cramped. The property was in a great location to visit the other Cotswolds villages and it was very nice to be able to relax in the two patio ares.

This cottage is a great place to stay for a family. The house is fully equipped . Everything you need is available. The living room is spacious and de bedrooms and beds are comfortable, although the rooms might get warm to sleep in when the weather is hot (which was not the case during our stay). Nice garden on both sides of the house and a parking spot in front of the garage. We stayed for three weeks and took walks (don't forget to pick up the fresh milk from the farm nearby) and visited various places in the Cotswolds. We would love to come back.

The location suited our requirements, a quiet village within easy driving distances to numerous villages/towns in the Cotswolds.
The cottage interior is lovely, high class comfortable furniture and supplied with everything you could possibly need for a short holiday and most importantly perfectly clean.

Perfect location for exploring the Cotswolds
Cottage was amazing and had everything we could possibly need.

Spent a few days in the beautiful area expiring the Cotswolds with family . Lovely spacious barn conversion perfect for our stay.

Although the house was very well equipped and the bedding was great quality, on arrival there was bread, milk, biscuits and bottle of wine for one, we found a number of things wrong, generally the house needed updating and painting, the garden at the back was not fully enclosed, the gaps between the metal fencing was wide, a small/medium dog could get through, so we could not leave our dog outside on his own, the covering on the kitchen units was coming off, there was no free cabinet space for food supplies, garden furniture was very shoddy, it was hot but no parasol provided for shade, we asked for one to be supplied, but the owner said although he was aware there wasn’t one he couldn’t supply one as he didn’t live near, no offer to have one delivered, which he could have done via Amazon that would have been very much appreciated. We paid a lot of money for a 5days stay, which we feel was a lot only to have these issues.

Gorgeous, light and airy property with high quality equipment/fittings. Beautiful garden, delightful village, well located to visit the surrounding towns. Host was exceptionally responsive to requests for help and couldn’t have been nicer! Loved our stay in Lower Swell.
4.8
Wonderful cottage with exceptional amenities from bedrooms, bathrooms, well stocked kitchen, spacious living areas to outdoor patios both front and back. Only negative was that both buildings needed a good dusting due to multiple cobwebs and small spiders in all rooms, corners, inside window ledges both indoor and outdoor. Large bees were seen going into holes of outside back wall of main cottage. Thank you for supplying washer and dryer with laundry soap and drying racks. Even though our whole family got sick with bad upper respiratory infections, we still had a lovely time exploring the area.

This property fully met our expectations. The host, Mike was very responsive. The home was clean, roomy, well located. We were hoping for a quiet respite in the middle of our busy trip itinerary and this was perfect.

Caffrey’s Cottage was quaint yet modernized with many amenities and conveniences. It was a perfect location from which to tour the Cotswolds.

Great stay for short break .. thoroughly recommend

The barn was spacious & comfortable living up to its online description and photos., with many positives including a well-kitted out kitchen. The owners were kindly flexible with our arrival time and easy to reach when various issues arose during the course of our week's stay. Negatives include rickety dining room chairs that could have been dangerous.
Also the "water tower" shower leaked water under its screen swamping the floor. More precise descriptions of parking arrangements & key storage would have been helpful too.

This converted barn was very true to the description but actually even more so in the flesh! Everything was very clean - the kitchen was well furnished - the beds were really comfortable - it was warm - big spacious dining area and gorgeous living space! Excuse the weird punctuation but the comma and full stop have stopped working on my keyboard - presumably in awe out how brilliantly we rate this place! Thank you so much for a really fabulous stay - we really enjoyed our time in your beautiful barn and we'll be back!

A fantastic, quiet, quality central base to explore the best of the cotswolds. Highly recommend.

Perfectly located for short road trips to virtually all the Cotswolds villages. Dry comfortable and well equipped house. Outstanding communication with our host, including the lavish welcome package.

Four adults for four nights.
This property met our expectations, was neatly furnished with comfortable bedding.
Set in a small and quiet location with easy access to the other many wonderful and quaint villages this area has to offer.

A perfect base for visiting the Cotswolds. The owners were very helpful and we loved our stay. Lower Swell is a beautiful, hidden gem and the Heart of England Way in the doorstep was a real bonus.

This cottage is in a cute quiet village in the Cotswolds, but is close to larger villages and cities such as Stow in the Wold and Cheltenham. Made a nice base camp. Beautifully furnished with everything we needed. Fully equipped kitchen and comfortable living room seating. The only drawback was that the 3rd sleeping area was not connected to the main house, but this worked out okay for us as we had 2 teens who were independent enough to be on their own.

Beautifully equipped, comfortable home in the perfect cotswolds location. Very quiet. Village pub just around the corner. Home was exactly as described. Owners Very responsive to any questions. We would stay here again.

This property is lovely! The Cotswolds are special and this place adds to the charm. It is well cared for, the hosts are agreeable and accommodating. They respond quickly and graciously. We are Americans traveling as a family and we absolutely loved this home.
For reference, the home has everything you need to cook in, a Tesco is about 2 miles away so you can buy groceries and make your own meals if you like without a problem. Nice towels and great beds in the main house also a washer AND DRYER! God bless them for the dryer!!!

Had everything you need for self catering ,In a great location
It’s a brilliant property in a great location, near Bourton-on-the-Water, near the centre of stow on the wold .

Extremely comfortable beds. Luxuriously soft bed linens. Small shower but large tub. Short drive to Stow-on-the-Wold. Lovely backroad location among other small stone barn renovations. Immediately responsive and helpful host. Wifi not strong. A few things like t.v., door locks, and shower nobs a little confusing for American travelers. Quiet area and property. Fans in bedrooms were handy. Would definitely stay again.

Lovely, peaceful, well equipped cottage
Beautifully situated, well equipped, charming cottage, with spacious lounge/dining area & nice patio areas to front and rear.

we enjoyed our stay at caffreys cottage and found it be comfortable. however, we found the bathroom arrangement to be problematic as water was spread everywhere. a shower would be a better provision.
the beds were clean and comfortable but the storage is poor in both bedrooms. i also think the bedroom in the water tower needs to be described as difficult for access.
the stairs should be explained as very steep and a possible
disadvantage for older people.
