The breakfast I had was very good.
It would have suited us to be able to have a breakfast starting at 7/30am or 8am. We were on a trip with a number of friends staying in other Devon towns and we needed to be able to meet up at 9/30am or 10am at up to on some days at 45 minutes drive away. Of course on the day we started activities at 10/30am in Tavistock we had benefit. It would have been nice to have had a resints lounge to sit in too.

Excellent location,a very short walk into town and a great centre to explore Dartmoor. Our stylish comfortable garden apartment had a wisteria covered balcony which was fabulous to sit out on, especially to enjoy the evening sun. A very wide choice of breakfasts / lunch served in their comfortable restaurant with a view (evening tapas menu excellent). Tony and staff were very helpful and friendly. Hope to return next year!

Breakfast in the Annex restaurant was excellent with good selection to choose off the menu. Hotel room was fine with plenty of space and very interesting outlook over the roof tops of Tavistock. The Tapas restaurant downstairs is very good.
The shower tap was confusing - but then again every shower tap in every hotel I have ever stayed in has needed serious thinking about to get it to work at the right teperature.

Staff were great, room was big, bed was comfy, close to town.
Include breakfast in the price.

I had booked on the basis of overall package, but particularly the location in the centre of Tavistock so within easy walking distance of everything. I contacted the owners to advise I would be arriving later than their preferred check-in time and they were very prompt in coming back to say that would not be a problem - huge relief! I arrived even later than expected (10.30 pm!) having had a delayed flight but they were still open for me and really welcoming - great service.
they also had some parking spaces and had coned off one to ensure I could get in - really thoughtful and in a town with narrow roads and not that many car parks (certainly no free ones that I saw)this is a real bonus.
The room was lovely, really comfy, good range of amenities, even a coffee machine.
Breakfast was in The Annexe restaurant adjoining the rooms part of the property. Lovely space, very light and airy, lots of plants, great range of retro style furnishings, and an amazing breakfast menu! The food was lovely, the staff really attentive and service quick. Prices for the food were really good value too I thought, given its quality.
I didn't eat dinner there, but if I stayed again would probably try to book to do so - it looks great and the fact it seems to be fully booked most of the time tells its own story.
Comfy accommodation, great service, lovely food and reasonable prices. Great package. I would definitely look to stay again if visiting that area.
The only thing I didn't like was the shower controls. The shower had two heads, one fixed and one hand-held, but the markings had rubbed off the controls so you couldn't see which controlled heat and which controlled the shower head. Also the controls were quite hard to operate - a bit stiff and quite hard to turn.
Once I'd got the hang of it though, it was fine.

The breakfast was excellent, filling, tasty and hot. The Annex where breakfast is served, is light airy.,and very popular with non residents. The sraff were young, very polite, friendly, and knowledgeable about their food and wine on offer.
We were 'upgraded' to the garden room which was beautifully quiet and self-contained.. Parking was nice and close.
There was no hot water in the bathroom wash hand basin. However, the shower was beautifully hot. The door to the garden room was rather tricky to open and close.

We had the apartment and it was great, spacious and very clean. It had a private patio and it was a two minute walk into the town. Highly recommend staying here
One minor quibble was the wifi signal was weak in the apartment as it was separate from the main house
4.6
it had great style and clean and just a good feel factor about it.
would of liked the shower to more powerful.

Incredible rooms, amazing restaurant and modern throughout
Two things:
1. Smell from the restaurant coming up the stairs and through. windows
2. Noise from kitchen post 9pm

Plus things at Rockmount Rooms, parking, location, friendly team, clean rooms and decorated lovely . Harry and the owner very accommodationing.
Constant kitchen noise until 11.15pm so could not hear the TV or relax and unwind after a busy few days travelling. Glass door on bathroom no privacy, we are okay with no privacy but lots of people wouldn't like it.

it was small but everyone very friendly, it was clean and quiet.
very close to the town centre.
USB ports and fast Wi-Fi always a bonus.
I will say the car park is small, but I wouldn’t let that stop you staying here.

Friendly helpfully staff.
House keeping didn't replace towels as requested.

The Garden Room is separate from the main building so has privacy. Great outside space with interesting view.
Not enough storage! Drawers under bed but shelves would be better to put make up etc as no dressing table. Towels a bit thin!

Lovely big room in smart boutique. Massive smart telly with sky and netflix. Private parking. Airy restaurant for brekkie. Great location. Fun owner. Honestly couldn't fault it.

Small, claustrophobic; room not made up between days; no wifi....staff had not known i was staying two days..... room cramped but OK.Manager was very good. Food excellent in restaurant.

I was greeted in the car park which was a lovely touch. Very nice accommodation It had recently been refurbed so everything was very fresh
Breakfast was served between 9-11am. Not good if you are stay for work purposes. They couldn’t organise a Continental breakfast instead. In my eyes that really let the place down as I had to eat jelly babies that I had in the car for breakfast. Most people working need to eat before 9am!!!! Also reception wasn’t open when I wanted to obtain a receipt for my stay. So will now have to contact hotel to get them to email me one. Such a shame that these two issues let them down dramatically. Apart from those, a lovely stay.
