Esternamente la Villa molto bella, come la vista sulla città ed il.silenzio in stanza
Arredi molto vecchi e colazione di scarsissima varietá e qualità

I liked the charming Villa, its surroundings and the breath taking view out of my window overlooking the city. The flair of the former Monastery in the hills added to my experience of Florence. The bus stop was in walking distance. The Host was very helpful. Parking was free and easy on site. I would have liked to stay longer and I am hoping to come back again.

Perfect location, calm and silent place. Fresh air, birdsongs in the morning and cicadas in the evening.
7 min walk to the bus stop, 20 min by bus to Florence. Busses run every 20 min. Tickets can be bought in the hotel.
Room is a bit dusty.
Too many carbs for breakfast, proteins are missing.

Enchanting Castle/Villa: Villa Morghen truly embodies the charm of a fairytale castle. Its unique architecture and picturesque surroundings create a magical atmosphere that adds a touch of romance and whimsy to the stay.
Spacious Rooms: I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the room at Villa Morghen. The spaciousness provided ample room to relax and move around comfortably, adding to the overall comfort of the stay.
Attentive Employees: The hotel staff at Villa Morghen were kind, helpful, and provided excellent service throughout my stay. Their warm and welcoming demeanor enhanced the overall experience, making me feel valued as a guest.
Breathtaking Views: The view from the villa was simply breathtaking. Whether it was the sweeping vistas of the Florentine hills or the charming garden scenery, the natural beauty surrounding Villa Morghen added an extra layer of tranquility and serenity to the stay.
Value for Money: One notable advantage of Villa Morghen is its relatively affordable pricing compared to other accommodations in Florence. The 20-minute drive from the parking garage may seem inconvenient to some, but for the value offered, it can be seen as a reasonable compromise.
Lackluster Room Decor: The room decor at Villa Morghen left much to be desired. It felt lacking or poorly executed, which affected the overall aesthetic appeal of the space. More attention to detail in the decoration could greatly enhance the ambiance and create a more inviting atmosphere.
Average Beds: While the beds were acceptable, they did not meet the expectations of a high-quality hotel. They lacked the utmost comfort and luxurious feel that one would hope for during their stay.
Limited Breakfast Selection: As anticipated from prior reviews, the breakfast options at Villa Morghen were quite limited. While this was expected, it would be beneficial for the hotel to expand the variety of offerings to cater to a broader range of tastes and preferences.

Serene environment on the hill with the beautiful view of Florence is the perk. Also it’s just outside the historic center of Florence with a convenient bus at town square 5 mins walk. The no. 10 bus leaves the square every 20 mins during the week and take you straight to the San Marco Basilica near Galleria Academia in central Florence. there’s more reason to stay here if you have a car but don’t want to pay over €250 per night in downtown Florence.
perhaps for those who like nightlife, this isn’t a place. For me, it’s perfect.

- close to bus stop (40 mins total to centre)
- rooms were spacious
- staff were really kind and helpful
- can purchase bus tickets from front desk (€1,50)
- breakfast served every morning (basic but enough)
- quiet at night, gets a bit cold so an extra blanket may be needed which can be found in the dressers)
- bed was made everyday
- just a bit far from the city but the value was good for us (we took a taxi from the centre the first night and it cost us €20

great location with an excellent view just outside the center of Florence.

Breakfast was plentiful & different everyday, breakfast cake is amazing. Beautiful experience in a beautiful building with wonderful views overlooking Florence. Bus No. 10 runs 1/2 hourly -easy to get to Florence. Accommodation is reasonably price.
The shower was a little narrow to get into and I should have asked for an extra blanket for my bed but I kept forgetting.

A friend who lives nearby recommended I visit Villa Morghen. I booked a room for 3 nights, stayed for 5, and returned for another 4 a week later after I extended my 2 week visit in Italy to 3. The staff was welcoming, recommended restaurants, off the beaten path spots to visit, and I enjoyed a lovely breakfast every morning in the dining room with the professor and family, and students from Benedictine College who were in a study abroad program. As a single woman traveling alone, I could not have asked for a more peaceful, welcoming home in a small village. The property is a 15th century villa and a former monastery, so expect large spaces, beautiful views, and a simpler way of life.
Florence is a 20-minute bus ride away, Fiesole is even closer, yet you feel like you are away from it all. I loved practicing my Italian in Settignano. If you don't speak Italian, bring a phrase book, and you will find wonderfully kind and welcoming people. I loved my stay so much that I am returning next year for six months. Many of my friends who have seen photos and heard about the trip are coming to visit Villa Morghen.
Nothing.
