The actual Pub itself was very friendly, and had an amazing vibe. The breakfast was absloutley stunning and the bacon to die for. Cooked fresh and to order, with all the trimmings. Amazing location and right in the centre of everything. The car park is litterally a 2 minute walk from the hotel.
Ok, so the entrance upto the rooms was quite chalenging as the staris are very steep with uneven flooring, This is an old building and to be fair, there is a sign statting the above. The carpets look like they have been well used and looking tired.
We had a double room, which was a good size but very basic. We had 2 single beds pushed together which invariably meant that i slept in the gap. The bathroom, again very basic, however no lock on the bathroom door and the actual door did not fully close as the latch did not catch. The shower looked as though it could do with a proper clean and maybe some re-grouting as there was signs of black mold.

Old world charm - a step back in time -traditional - good location for York and surrounding towns by car or regular buses - nice pub up the road (plough ) free parking for blue badge holders at hotel a bonus
The bar area lacked the atmosphere of the rest of the hotel more like a canteen feel - just so different to the decor of the rest of the hotel needed furniture in line with the era of the rest of the hotel

Room fine.
We paid and booked in, were shown a perfectly adequate room, smallish but clean and containing everything needed.
BUT then she asked had anyone mentioned THE DISCO, that it would stop dead on 11.30pm. We had come from a family funeral and were meeting family for a meal so thought we would take a chance (foolishly as it worked out). When we returned the noise made our teeth hurt.
Be warned check before you pay.

The location.
The room facilities were awful. Toilet did not flush. TV did not work. kettle lead would not reach plug - had to use it on floor. Kettle on button had to be hit hard to make it work. No place to hang any clothes or coats. Was promised a partial refund but this never happened.

The location was great The beds comfortable. The bar was fun great staff
Could be cleaner, smelt
Musty something had been spilled down the wall and not cleaned, the baseboards needed dusting and mold in the shower

Warm welcome and cosy, authentically English/Stratford atmosphere with lovely bar and restaurant.
Excellent bed and bathroom. Nothing flashy, but everything - including hot water and shower - works. Not always the case in older properties in England.
Excellent breakfast and perfect location, an easy walk down the main street to the Royal Shakespeare Theatres and the River Avon.
Nothing.

Great Central location, comfortable room and friendly staff
The late hours way in was hard to find down some very dark back streets, so could have done with more info on finding it. The room wasn't as clean as hoped, although the bed and bedding was spotless. Glad I brought an eye mask as there was a streetlight outside the window. Could really do with a net curtain for privacy during the day without having to close the curtains to get changed.

It was ok and well located
Approach to the rooms needed some redecoration and the lock on the door to my room needed repairing properly as it could have easily been forced open had someone wanted to get in.

Super, comfortable bed - had a great night's sleep. Interesting room features, obviously an historic, old property.
The industrial sized extractor/chimney on an adjacent (assume kitchen) roof bang outside the window.. The extractor vent on the bathroom ceiling was thick with dust and let down an otherwise pristine bathroom.

Great location and the people there were just so incredibly helpful and lovely. Super comfy bed and lovely reading corner for when it’s raining

In a central location but not noisy we were very happy with our choice of hotel. Friendly and helpful staff and a nice basic room
Can't think of anything. It was fine.

The atmosphere and central location. Breakfast was good but they did not have hot chocolate.
Nothing.

Nice central location, not too noisy.
Not as clean as it could have been, ceiling light didn't work, kettle didn't work properly, very very basic. Expected better for the price.

The Queens Head is in a great location in the Town Centre within easy striking distance of the bars and restaurants. The room was clean and easy accessible. NCP Car parking was within 50 meters of the rear of the property and access from the carpark is direct to the rear of the property.
3.6
Central and nice inside the pub too.
Breakfast was nice and the staff seemed friendly.
The room was an ok size. A true reflection would be that the rooms just need some TLC.paint etc. The carpets smelt and could do with a good wash.
Just small changes would improve the place.no card machine which could cause some people issues these days.
3.6
Friendly place, room was clean & just what we needed for our short stay.
Tv was in the wrong place so couldn’t watch it & we had two single beds pushed together one mattress was higher then the other.

The location was excellent. Close to car park.
Wasn’t very impressed at the breakfast presentation. The table was sticky and not set for a meal. The portions very very generous.
3.6
Nice quaint property, room
Satisfactory for quick over light stay
They did all they could to accommodate me with an early breakfast, lovely staff!
3.6
The central location was excellent with parking nearby and a fantastic wonderful breakfast.
3.6
close to downtown Stratford as well as the opera.
The exit of the accommodations enters the smoking area of the bar downstairs. The door lock to room #1 should be more secure.

The location is terrific and staff very helpful. Room was nicely equipped and furnished. Very good value for money.
The bath towels were clean but wet; they dried nicely when I hung them up in the bathroom.
