Great location across from the park and easy walking distance to all the attractions. The room was large and clean and there is a common area at the front of the house to relax in. On-site parking. The host was extraordinary. She is obviously house-proud, which is reflected in the clean and neat appearance of the property. She went the extra mile when it came to customer service. We highly recommend selecting this property for your stay in Stratford upon Avon
Nothing to fault.

The best thing about Salamander was the host whose name I have shamefully forgotten. She was cheerful, friendly and could not have been more welcoming or helpful. The accommodation was smart, clean and comfortable, perfect for our needs.
The bathroom door wouldn't close but the host told us after we left that a stone was stuck in the frame. We all felt sheepish then 'cos we could have sorted that out for ourselves if only we had looked.

Alex the hostess could not have been more friendly and helpful. The room was spotlessly clean and a good size. All in all perfect
Watch out for the legs on the bed as it’s very easy to stub your toe.

The location was excellent for everything, very close to the train station/the racecourse/the rsc/town center and everything associated with Shakespeare.
There is a lovely park facing the hotel.
The hosts Alex & Pascal were very helpful with local tips for places to eat/drink and activities and events that were on
A breakfast would have been good but there are lots of places nearby

What a wonderful find! The rooms have been freshly redone and were light, airy, spotless and very comfortable. The host, Alex was so kind and friendly. We enjoyed our conversations and her attentive care. She provides excellent recommendations for restaurants and attractions- she made our stay extra special. There is a parking space provided and the location is perfect to walk out and explore. Definitely recommend for your Stratford stay!

A beautiful guest house perfectly situated in beautiful Stratford upon Avon with the added bonus of parking at the rear of the property.
Everything was perfect - even Netflix on the TV! Spotlessly clean and Alex the host was so hospitable. Nothing was too much trouble, will definitely return.

Great location. Short walk to the theatre and tourist attractions. At the moment this accommodation is not supplying breakfast or a common room for people to meet. A bit of a shortcoming. Alex was there when I arrived and was very helpful in reviewing places to eat and all the attractions.
Lack of breakfast and/or common meeting room.

Host was very friendly and communicated with us prior to arrival and during our stay. Very helpful with directions, restaurant suggestions and other town info. Room was very clean and the beds were comfortable.
Guest House is on a fairly busy road, a bit noisy if you have the windows open but didn't really bother us too much.

Great location being close to town. Accommodation was clean and room had everything we needed.Alex and Pascal were exceptional hosts!
Only that it would of been nice to have breakfast on site but we knew this was the case when we booked. It wasn't a real problem as there were plenty of places to eat nearby.

Alex was a superb hostess. She gave us so much information about sights, open times, idiosyncrasies (best times) etc. She also gave us excellent recommendations for restaurants. She was available at any time to answer any questions via the booking.com app or phone. There was on site parking (small cars).
The temperature control in the shower was a bit erratic a couple of times. Most of the time it was fine!

The way we were recieved was brillaint. They checked us in earlier so we were able to go and explore Stratford without having to check in later. The fact the room we had booked was upgraded was a lovely touch and gave our family much more room.
We were able to leave to car in their car park also which saved money.
Would highly recommend

The bed was very comfy, and there was a good amount of hanging space. There were two heaters in the room which means you're definitely not cold. I liked the tea making facilities as COVID prevented having breakfast. For me, I loved the location - it's so central which means you can park the car behind the guesthouse and then just walk everywhere. I chose a single room, but the bed was bigger than a normal single - not as big as a double I don't think so that was nice too. The room was clean - the shower great for temperature and strength of the water.
Firstly, I'd say that what I didn't like would not stop me staying again - so please don't let it put you off. There was very little communication prior to my arrival - it's not the end of the world, but it didn't feel very welcoming. I tried calling a few days before but the voicemail box was so full I couldn't leave a message. I received a text message on the morning of my arrival - I'd already set off for Stratford so I wasn't able to read them immediately or respond until I reached the office and then I had limited time due to meetings. Firstly, there were no instructions on where to park so that was a slight pain and I didn't have time to ask via text. FYI - There's a small lane next to the property, once down the lane, you'll see the guest house has designated parking. The text asked what time I would be arriving because the owner had a number of appointments that day. I was asked to contact her immediately if I deviated from the time I declared as she wouldn't want me to be hanging around. I said I'd be there between 5.30 and 5.45pm. When I arrived (at 5.40), there was no one there to meet me. I called the only number I had - and I was able to get through on the second or third attempt. Apparently she'd had a pre-arranged appointment which was long standing which she couldn't cancel so wouldn't be in the property until post 8pm. She had intended to send me a text to let me know but had not gotten around to pressing send. I let myself into the property and found my room. The owner asked to meet me at 8pm so I could pay, but I had dinner plans so the payment had to take place without me - and I never saw the owner before I left the next day. She left a note saying she was sorry she hadn't met me - it's really not a biggy - but you've asked for details of my experience and this was it. In the future, I will make sure that I've made contact first - that would be my advice.
