Clean
Checking in was very difficult - we started by arriving early, and there was no one at the lobby and no answer. Then we set off and we contacted the property to let them know we would be arriving late, but upon arrival, nobody answered the door.
We were hanging around outside for a long time, waiting for an answer!

The room was lovely, exceptionally clean. The manager (Andrew?) was lovely, very helpful and very friendly. The gardens were very pretty and it was quiet overnight.
The owner and general manager were there on Saturday morning, both looking like they’d just been dragged from their beds. They d isn’t engage with any of the guests and at one point swore really loudly which clearly offended the American guests. They also had their two kids in the guest dining room having breakfast and that made it feel more B&B than hotel. Little (ish) things but things that def lower the tone a bit and probably isn’t what they are aiming for in building up their business.

Really nice hotel. Comfy room. Unfortunately when I stayed the restaurant was closed, but the love reception person advised me about a pub down the road. However there was an excellent Indian restaurant as well which I highly recommend! There was no WiFi or I couldn’t connect but it was of little interest for me.
Breakfast was of a very high standard.
It was a really nice hotel in a good location. I will stay again
To be really picky, I did not see anywhere that the chef had Tuesday night off and the interweb wasn’t working, but on a positive I got to walk into town, have a cracking curry and visited the local pub, so no big problem.

Good location
Been woken up at 3am by a guest that was hammering on the fire door right at the side of our window. OK hotel can’t prevent that. But, as a gesture of customer service. Have a drink at the bar on us? Bottle of wine to room???
No hot water for shower.
Ground floor room No 2. Large bay window only 6ft from main high St. No nets so needed curtains drawn when in room.

Very friendly staff to welcome us.
Bathroom could have been cleaner, shower gel had come off the wall, mould around the shower. Bottom of shower cubicle not attached to rest of shower and shower door leaked so floor got very wet.
Mattess not too great very creaky with every movement

Convenient location. We needed to be at an event at Compton Verney early the next morning. Also very convenient for Stratford upon Avon.

Two rooms were lovely and clean and had all we needed.
It was lovely location for walking into town.
The Wi-Fi did not work in one room and intermittent in the other. There was a lot of traffic noise and reception noise for one room.

Really lovely room, nice and clean with a comfy bed. Nice patio area to sit and have a beer in. Staff were super friendly. Really nice pub and Indian restaurant just down the road if you don’t want to go into town. The only thing I would say is as our room was on the ground floor then a net curtain would have been useful for a bit more privacy, but that’s a minor thing. Would definitely stay here again.

Location and parking
No mattress protector, wasn't clean enough, the TV was too small and didn't work properly, the 'suite' was not worth the extra cost and didn't look anything like the photos.

A very warm welcome and extremely hospitable staff. Lovely quiet location with plenty of parking. We enjoyed a drink from the bar on the patio. Excellent value for money and conveniently situated.
Some dust and cobwebs had been missed.

No mattress protector on the bed

Nice quiet location , great patio and welcoming building.
We stayed 2 nights, dissappointingly there was no hot water on either days, when we mentioned it to staff there was no apology, they just confirmed a problem. Kind of spoils the experience if you can't have a hot shower.

Attractive decor
Started well with a warm welcome from Leanne but sadly it went downhill from there.
There were blinds in the bedroom that didn’t little to keep out the morning sun so I was awake from 4.15am.
I could see through the blinds to people walking by and they could see me when dark outside.
The shower head was blocked so I had to dismantle to fix as easier since I was already in the shower.
The shower tray was slippy and no anti-slip mat provided. No bin in the bathroom. The bed mattress was the thinnest I’ve ever seen and not so comfortable.
Bedside lights awkward to control compared to typical hotel having switch’s close by on the walls.
No WiFi.
Breakfast only available after 8am.

I loved everything except there was no mirror in the room to check my outfit. there was a bathroom mirror.

It was extremely welcoming and the room was really comfortable and had all amenities needed for our stay. It was ideally situated for walking into the centre of Stratford- we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here (we come to Stratford every year) and we will definitely be back.
Nothing - it was ideal for us.

As an elderly handicapped person , I was frightened to use the shower in my en suite as there were no grab rails. A small point, I know, but it would have made a big improvement.

Some new net curtains but the staff on reception did say they where doing some renovation to the property 👍
