Lovely breakfast, very clean. Reception staff were very friendly. The rooms are nice.
The walls are a little thin so hard to get to sleep at times. Otherwise very good.
5.0
It was clean ,convenient for the ferry.
This place could be amazing .
Needs updating fast ,when we went to bar the hot drinks machine was awful no flavour in any drinks went back & complained lad not really interested asked for some food lad said better check to see if chef will do it ?? Whatever we asked he had to leave bar to check if it was OK. Other staff were OK.

Location to the Cairnryan ferry terminal. Staff very welcoming and an excellent breakfast.
Our room was a little on the small side and requiring updating

Great pool
Needs a bit of talc and room was quite cold

Location was ideal for what we wanted to do. Room was clean and warm and plenty of space.
Lift could do with an upgrade

Great location for overnight before early morning ferry food was fantastic
7.0
The beds were comfy and the breakfast had a good selection and the staff were friendly and welcoming.
The furnishings for example the bedroom desks and wardrobes were dated and the phones in the rooms were not plugged into anything.
2.0
The bed was large, and we could check in late, close to the ferry, that's where the positives end.
Very outdated hotel, needs refreshing decor and facilities. Shower was like something out of a public swimming pool, and so low on the wall we had to sit in the bath to use it. Bed was ok, but very disappointing room. Breakfast was borderline inedible, especially the scrambled eggs! Very expensive for what it was, especially as I stayed at hotels the following three nights that were the same price and 10x the quality and comfort in stay.

Great location at the seafront and a short drive from Cairnryan ferries

the room was large and clean, maybe a little dated but fine, en suit bathroom/shower room was again a little dated but perfectly fine, beds we’re comfortable and immaculate. the dining room for breakfast vast with plenty seating so nobody was crammed together and the choices were excellent from cereals to fully cooked or toast and jams/marmalades or fruits, plenty parking spaces etc and welcoming friendly staff.
bit of mildew in the bathroom from condensation but other than that i was happy to stay here and will do again.

The staff was very friendly could not do enough for us, meals were delicious, presentation was excellent, and food was hot ,
We stayed here previously, last time we had bottled water in the room , robes and slippers for going to pool , which was a disappointment, as there wasn’t any also the pool was needy a deep clean , I didn’t even go into the jacuzzi as it was so dirty the water was cloudy and couldn’t even see the bottom of it , the seating area in the room had two chairs which need replaced we put cushions on them but still very uncomfortable,

That the room was well equpt for a family if 5 and the hotel was spotless lots of wee rooms and bars to sit at was lovely and peacefull .
There was a funny /smelly smell from the hot tub so never used it

Great staff, swimming pool and jacuzzi open in evening which was a bonus, rooms were very spacious. In centre of town, plenty of free parking at hotel.
Breakfast was fine but needs modernising. Staff were very helpful and friendly at breakfast time.

something different!
the different dinner menus and not giving customer choice of which menu to have - and keeping the different menus a secret. very poor

Room was comfortable. Swimming pool
6.0
Location, restaurant and reception staff. Quality of food.
Bedroom was very cold, hot water never got above warm. stairs only to my room no lift in that part of the hotel.
6.0
Spacious rooms and comfortable beds. Friendly restaurant staff who tried to be helpful. Helpful reception staff.
Rooms are a bit old fashioned and could do with modernisation. We were a party of seven. Disappointing table service including no sirloin steak available which wasn’t pointed out, red wine in white wine glasses, failure to action requests for prompt and early breakfast service (breakfasts chosen and ordered the night before but this wasn’t actioned by breakfast team), Table d’hote manu only available to those who booked a DBB stay.

The friendly staff at breakfast.
Poor & uncooperative attitude at Reception ,did not get room we had booked ,Hotel booking flawed as I was told I had booked 2 rooms had proof I cancelled the booking & rebooked the same room but receptionist said it was sorted .
10.0
Beautiful traditional hotel, grand but friendly and welcoming, my little 3yr old grandsonwas convinced he was staying in a real castle. The reception staff were so helpful and accommodating when there was a room mix up (my mistake when booking online). The evening meals we had in the curling bar were sumptuous, great value and the staff were attentive and so kind, I can highly recommend the brisket cooked to perfection. Breakfast buffet was generous, great variety cold buffet plus delicious cooked traditional breakfast, full scottish!!! Again the waiting staff were welcoming, efficient and kind. Large comfortable rooms, immaculately clean and modern well equipped ensuite.
We loved everything and can't wait to go back.
