Fun but will be better when the pools reopen.

Great location. Fun place for a staycay. Nice kids play park.

The largest pools are closed for renovation until summer 2025. We weren’t told this until we arrived and the pools were our main reason for going.

Worst experience in the hotel

The room was assigned full of smoky smells and called to front desk, they told me I need to go down to front desk for room change and got no any apology. By accident. hotel lounge , Stacy inn and Yue restaurant were closed at the same time, we need to went outside to have dinner cos food from cafe lagoon was underrated… I think it is because promotion from hotel, we paid for buffet breakfast but came out only continental breakfast although the order is unlimited… lunch buffet got very limited sort of food and not much refill for hot meals … it is my worst experience in the hotel …

We like the stay in this hotel, we reached at night to hotel because of our flight, the reception staff on duty was not too friendly, was difficult to understand each other, and she can't explain properly, we paid for breakfast cash, she has not mentioned in the chick in records and in the system and not given receipt as a prove, she told us it's in the system no need to have the receipt when we go for breakfast they will know, but they said it's not paid and in the check out they asked us to pay, they checked in the cctv to belive us, we have trust them as a big resort and they thought we are lying we told the staff Samantha we don't feel good of this behavior, and they take deposit to keep till checkout, hold our credit card should release when check out USD 250 as they told us in the check in time, but we have surprised that well take 3 weeks to return in our account, now in this advanced technology system all bank transactions is done by online and telephone they've same old fashioned procedures, they should explain during the check in properly to the guest, we thank Samantha for her kindness and being polite to us during the check out, still waiting our money to be release, they promised to be released in maximum 3 days but now 12 days not released, we enjoyed the stay but only these reasons we've been upset during the check out, all other staffs are nice and helpful

Holding the deposit amount for too long, not recording we paid for breakfast, during the check in the staff was little rude and difficult to understand

Heerlijk hotel voor even ontspannen, zwemmen en lekker eten.

Heerlijk hotel. Mooie, ruime kamer die van alle gemakken voorzien was, heerlijk ontbijtbuffet en mooi en groot zwembad. Tevens dichtbij het strand waar we ook gezwommen hebben (wel met veel containerschepen verderop in zee, dus geen idyllisch strandbeeld). Het buffet 's avonds was ontzettend lekker, al was het wel wat prijzig. Er waren overigens ook alternatieve opties voor wat eten in de buurt bij het Gold Coast Piazza, op makkelijke loopafstand en met voldoende keuzes.

Als je veel wilt zien in Hong Kong, dan is dit hotel niet zo handig gelegen, niet centraal genoeg. Wij waren al een week in Hong Kong geweest en kwamen voor 2 nachten naar Gold Coast Hotel toe om nog even te kunnen zwemmen en gewoon ontspannen, daarvoor was het perfect.

I booked a room with balcony. But the hotel gave me a room without balcony. I asked them why, they told me the balcony room was ready for me and I could pack up my luggage and move to the room with balcony. Their response made nonsense at all.

- The resort atmosphere of the hotel - Size of lobby, cafe, room, bath tub and balcony - closed to the beach

- The air-conditioner in my room didn’t work properly….too warm, very weak cooling system! - No Japanese TV channel - My room had cooking oil smell

A week at Gold Coast Hotel HK

Room are clean and daily clean up of room always. Love the bath tub, but toilet didn't have bidet, will not be convenient for Family with younger kids.

Mini bar replenishment was not replenished daily, I might have misunderstood the meaning at the booking site. Hope the toilet would come with heated seat as winter could get really cold and bidet for kids washing

Kind of expensive, but really top notch facility. Highly recommend it to anyone who can afford it.

The room was cleaner than your cat's fanny. The breakfast buffet was just super, and at HKD85 each, a great value. Everything about our room was downright elegant. And the grounds? B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L !

The TV. I spent a long, long time trying to get it to accept and play videos from my USB flash drive. Finally, I called and they sent me an "engineer" to get it working. He was super nice, but he struggled with that TV for like half an hour and finally got it. I would think playing movies from a USB would be anticipated and allowed for. Speaking of TV, there are gobs of channels in Chinese, which I don't understand. There were only two English movie channels. It would be nice if there were more international entertainment. I also didn't like them saying the earliest check-in was 3:00 but check-out was 12:00 noon the next day. You guys need three hours to clean the rooms? On the other hand, I called the front desk and they did allow me 30 extra minutes late check-out. One last thing. There is a sidewalk that runs behind the hotel and along the shoreline. It is so pretty. But if you want to go over to Golden Beach Plaza and eat or shop, you get 2/3 of the way there and there is a locked gate. You have to backtrack all the way to and through the hotel and then walk it again. The long way around to get from the hotel to the shopping plaza is about a 10-minute walk. If they would only keep that gate open, the walk would be cut in half. Actually, this is why we did not go play at the beach. It's just so far to walk and to walk back. It is surprising that the Golden Beach advertises how close they are to the beach and then prevents us from going there.

Great family staycation hotel

We love Gold Coast Hotel. It is very family-friendly and the staff are helpful and accommodating, despite the various hoops they (and we) have to jump through. The swimming pool is a real highlight, and the facilities in general are very good.
