The highlights were the staff and the food. Both were outstanding. The bedroom was mostly fine and the en-suite was great.
Not much - the duvet wa a bit heavy for a warm May Bank Holiday, but how often do we get one of those?

What a wonderful time we had! Staff are welcoming and so polite, nothing was too much for them, customer service was fantastic!
our evening meal was 10/10 absolutely delicious, as was the breakfasts.
Our room was immaculate, the bed was so comfortable, with lovely pillows which made for a perfect night's sleep.
we had penty of tea/coffee and the soaps and creams that smelt devine!
Just perfect x
The room was far too hot on the first night, but night two was better.
The room didn't have an overhead light, which made it dark in places.
5.0
It was clean, and the bed surprisingly comfortable.
The location was great
The breakfast was surprisingly varied and cooked to order and I must say very well presented.
The staff were vibrant and polite.
Parking and takes pets
This was described as a ‘Manor’ Hotel. It is in fact a pub called the ‘Manor Arms’
The view if you ignore the silver box trailer and the patio with stone balustrades (I’m guessing bought to enhance the ‘Manor’ Photos.
The room was clean however poorly put together on the cheap with thin curtains that did nothing to block out the all night flood lights into the room (no dark Sky’s here) and no privacy if open.
The shower enclosure had nowhere to place the shampoo provided other than on the floor and apart from the heated towel rail no hooks to hang towels.
The room door when opened, allowed anyone passing in the corridor to see you in bed or….
There were no provisions [bowls, bed] for dogs in comparison to other hotels, however that said there was no extra charge either.
Unfortunately the noise coming from the bathroom extractor and the pub [Manor] refrigeration / air extraction / generator (not quite sure) was loud enough to drown out our dreams and kept us awake most of the night.
The out of hours entrance is a steep steal staircase leading into the carpark below.
The Pub [manor], was tired with a hotchpotch of oak furniture land / and tired tables, not rustic !

The room was spotless, comfortable and had recently been decorated to a high standard. The views were beautiful.
We only had breakfast as we were going to a wedding at another venue so did not have dinner. The breakfast was tasty and plenty of it.
Nothing negative to say

Beautiful rooms. Friendly and very helpful staff. Comfy beds. Lovely to have a proper duvet. Stayed for our wedding. The food was exceptional. Stunning scenery. Cannot thank the staff enough for everything and making the day so special.
Only that there are no ceiling lights in the rooms, my dad found this also.

Beautiful old building in a lovely rural location. I was extremely late but the lady was super helpful and arranged everything so I could still check in. Highly recommend

We stayed here as a family group of 10, while attending a wedding locally. We were welcomed and allowed to check in early. All of the rooms were of a high standard with an individual but high spec finish.
The breakfast was lovely and all tastes accommodated for.
We would highly recommend this hotel and look forward to staying again in the future.

The staff were wonderful, very friend and made us feel at home in their pub. A good selection of local drinks and local food produce! Everywhere was clean and had a seperate access to the rooms so no need to keep going through the pub.
Got woken up several times in the night due to sounds from bathroom, like the extractor or a massarator kept randomly turning on. Very loud against what else would have been a very peaceful night.
Also i had paid for a supieor room and was put in a standard double.

quiet
was there a few years ago the heating broke down it was in September but I came this time and the heating wouldn’t turn on or was there any warm water every time you used the shower it would run cold not good enough and it seemed to be getting bits of the place decorated as it smelt off paint I am disabled and was asked to use a fire escape where the stairs were steeper than the north face of the Eiger when you arrive the smell off the septic tank in the car park is terrible

Comfortable, fantastic menu in the evening at bar, delicious breakfast and dinner, lovely room, able to check in early due to a wedding which was adhered to and very much appreciated by us. thank you very much.
Room was not cleaned and restocked on the second day of our stay.
Luke, staff member on bar during second night was rude

We can't think of anything negative really.

Not much, location was good
No hot water in the morning for a shower, remedied of sorts on request but clearly a plumbing issue. Undercooked breakfast. Food not as described on the menu. Room got and thick quilt, as a result poor sleep quality. Poor welcome on arrival. Clearly multiple guests unhappy and overall poor ambiance throughout. A shame as looked so good beforehand

booked a superior double room … but was disappointed as it only had a very small window so the room was quiet dark …
no signs the double opening doors & Juliet balcony with plenty of light shown in the photos at point of sale on this website

the hotel is very olde worldly and traditional in its look. it’s warm and welcoming too.
our room was lovely, the bed and bedding so so nice, top quality and we both slept very well. The shower was super, very powerful and plenty of room to move. Tea tray was a nice welcome with plenty of choice.
The breakfast was a complete and utter let down which was such a shame after spending the night in a beautiful room. You were only allowed one item from quite a restricted list. my husband had the fry up and I ended up with a bowl of porridge. Even a slice of toast would have been much appreciated. a big let down for us.

very convenient for us as we met friends for lunch at the Manor Arms
the room was rather small. we have stayed here 3 times and seem to get smaller and smaller rooms!
the loo was very noisy. and difficult to clean your teeth under the eaves.
I would prefer to choose my breakfast in the morning not the night before.

They failed to check the room lighting during the renovations and some of the lights including the bathroom mirror light did not work. Very hot in the rooms
