Cheap and cheerful

Great location - short walk from the train station, right by the pier, near to all of the seafront areas. Everything clean. Friendly staff and could leave a bag there after checkout.

Bedroom sink hot tap worked when we first arrived but never again after that. Shower on top floor was just a dribble and has very little room to manoeuvre outside of the shower stall itself. Lots of little things that showed a lack of planning such as breakfast bowls being too big to comfortably fit under cereal dispensers.

A lovely stay

The location was fantastic - we had a gorgeous sea view which we loved. The room and bedding were spotlessly clean. Breakfast in the morning was delicious! All staff were friendly and welcoming. Thank you so much!

Overall, really good value. would definitely book again

The hotel room was cosier than expected, bed was really comfortable. Great location and central to local amenities, shops, rail station and beach. Staff were really friendly and breakfast was excellent.

The only thing that I thought let it down was having a shared toilet and shower. Especially if you had to go in the middle of the night. You had to sort of get dressed to dash out, not forgetting your key but this was a minor inconvenience

Excellent location and breakfast was very good. Room was nice, bright and relatively clean and overlooks the sea.

First room was not what I booked and it was relatively dark and dreary. The bathroom was not cleaned well enough so surface clean only but with orange Jody fat in tiles from lack of good cleaning over longer term. Shower in the new room was weak and hard to get the temperature right.

Although I was aware of a shared toilet, there was no hand washing facilities, absolutely disgusting. There was a sanitiser but empty.

Tatty, dirty and poor customer care.

Location and sash window

Unprofessional staff. Small breakfast. Shower was in a cupboard, not a full room. Tatty and messy communal areas. Electrical hazards - over-stuffed electrical sockets. Dated decor. Dusty around edge of room and under bed. Rooms not well sound-proofed.

The noise from outside,Lorrys unloading in the early hours woke us up,a builder started banging a brick wall down at 7 am aswell had a terrible nights and morning sleep

It was a fantastic location and truly good value for money. I really liked the robe in the room. This little inn seemed to think of just about everything.

Holiday hotel

I thought the hotel was in a good position and staff were nice and it was clean I liked tea and coffee making facilities and biscuits plus a bottle of water every day.

It was quite old fashioned furniture in room very dated and the window didn't stay open it kept falling down.I didn't like sharing bathroom facilities very old bathroom and shower was useless took a long time to heat water and was inside the bath very difficult to work out how to use it.

Lovely stay. Honestly too short!

First off my regards go out to the helpful and accommodating staff. They made the short stay we had extra pleasant. The room we had was very good and surprisingly spacious. Well ventilated, clean and tidy and all in all very nice. The location is superb. You literally step outside on to the pier. And it's bang in the middle of the town.

The guy on the front desk was great, and the room was perfect. Comfortable, great view, good bed and clean.

Very good

Full English Breakfast was tasty. You can also choose cereals, yoghurts or continental breakfast from the menu. However, you have to say a time when you are going to have breakfast. The room was cosy with a small bathroom. There was also a portable heater that we used because the windows are old with only one pane.

Sometimes is difficult to plan ahead the breakfast time. Especially when your children woke up earlier. Regarding the bathroom, one spare toilet paper roll would be a good idea.
