Cute little cottage which the owner takes a pride in as shown by all the little extras provided to ensure her guests have a comfortable stay

bit tucked away and the lady took to long to pay the deposit back to us

Very quaint building, great location.
The staircase was steep, but what you would expect in an old building. Struggled with our luggage up them.

I needed a break away, and needed time to focus on research that I had been ignoring, so I booked the cottage for a few nights. It's in a perfect location with great eateries in easy walking distance, fantastic walks to Deal and Walmer Castle. The cottage itself is warm and comfortable, you really do feel at home. It was perfect for me to unwind and focus of my research, let alone enjoy day trips out and about as you can travel easily. I would highly recommend this cottage and will more than likely stay here again in the future.

Lovely basket of goodies. Fire ready to light in sitting room.
Nothing - all good

Our meals were good, once we got the hang of the hob and oven. The necessities kindly supplied by our host were most pleasing, since we had forgotten to bring so many essentials.
The books housed in the cubby hole were many and varied, especially liked were the history of the area.
Perhaps a curtain around the bath would facilitate the use of the hand-held shower and save the floor from getting wet.

Location, the welcome goodies, the clear guide provided by Amanda. All the extras at the property and the robes.
Nothing!

Excellent attention to detail and thoughtful host. Quaint old property done up nicely. Great value for money and we liked the location even though it was a bit of a walk to places.
It was lovely, but would have liked fluffier pillows and a bottle opener!
4.5
The host left some bread, butter, Jam, biscuits etc to greet us which was a kind gesture. The cottage has character with one of the bedroom windows being a picture window framing the sea beyond. The property is very well located about halfway between Walmer Castle (lovely walk from the cottage) and the centre of Deal. We didn't have a car so walked mostly but there is a cycle hire cabin about 5 mins walk away. Beach is 1 min away. Great place for a retreat especially out of season. This time our stay coincided with the funeral of The Queen so it felt uplifting to be in a nice homely place close to the sea.
We couldn't find fault with our stay there!

Lovely cottage in a perfect location
Shame dogs arenāt allowed and there is no shower but these arenāt deal breakers for us. Cottage is lovely and in a great location.

The cottage was near the beach and parking was available nearby.
The cottagewas clean and bright and we loved the basket of goodies the host left for us ie bread and milk etc .
The beds were comfy and we had everything we needed.
The wasn't anything we didn't like

Really helpful host who went out of her way to help us with a really late booking. Exceptional value for money for a two bedroom property in the area, lovely personal touches. I was a little worried about no dedicated parking but the host guided us where to leave the car and there were no issues during our stay / we were able to park right next to the cottage. No hesitation to recommend, even though id quite like to keep this one a secret or we may never be able to book it again!

A very nice two bedroom cottage behind the sea front apartments. Amanda left us some food basics and a few treats. The cottage was cosy and peaceful, not being on the main road that runs through Walmer that is not too far away. Parking is on the street but very easy: both times we parked up we were only a few metres away. The kitchen has everything one needs for a short to medium stay. We didn't use the wood burner but there is one there for the depths of winter.
I can also recommend Walmer Fish & Chips for a take away, a short walk away. I've never known a fish & chip shop to offer so much for those with dietary choices or restrictions.
Nothing we can criticise. If you are looking to book and have mobility issues you may have difficulty with the stairs to the bedrooms. This was not an issue for us but just something to note for those less mobile.

Wonderful welcoming package with some basic necessities plus some very nice goodies. House was warm and cosy with logs provided for the burner. Good wifi connection.
We parked on the road outside on arrival, but had to search for somewhere to park at other times. Bath was fine for us, but the absence of a dedicated shower could be a problem for some.

comfy quiet little cottage perfectly placed for walks along the beach to town
love the welcome food parcels, always needed after a long journey
local lady owner always helpful and available if needed
super comfy bed and clean throughout
Parking can be a pain but once you are settled everything is local enough not to need it again .. so you should be set for a fab stay

very clean and everything I needed. great owner and very helpful.

Clear concise instructions
The welcome exceeded expectation, so there was nothing not too like. The only thing to be aware of was there were about two steps into the property and the roll top bath was luxurious but possibly not suitable for someone with a disability

The location was close to the beach and amenities

The Welcome hamper was amazing. Bread, milk, butter and conserves. Chilled prosseco, crisps and bicuits. All you need after travelling. Thank you Amanda.
Nothing. The cottage was truely homely.

All the finishing touches. Lovely welcome pack with prosecco, biscuits and other bits.
It was a lovely place, we took our 18 month old who loves to climb so we had to child proof it but that would be the same where ever we went.

Very clean, it had everything we needed.
Communication with the owner was great too.
Was great for our two children aged 3 and 4 months.

The location was ideal for us as it was a stones throw from the beach, 10 minutes in to town (passing lots of lovely shops!) & 10 minutes to family in the other direction. We didnāt know the area before our trip but the cottage couldnāt have been in a better location for us!
The parking was sometimes a little busy & we could see that in peak season it may have been difficult to find a parking space without a short walk.

Location was perfect, the cottage was lovely very well equipped, the only problem was the weather let us down a bit!!
