Food was very good both at dinner and breakfast. The menu was exactly the same for all three days, even the soup. One extra option to vary would have been nice.
The staff at meal times were very friendly and helpful.
It would have been nice to get in the grounds and walk around and also speak to someone about fishing as they have river frontage apparently.
We heard music until 1am but not sure if it came from the hotel or elsewhere?
The property is quite dark and there is nobody about to ask a question of. It is locked up until you check in at 4pm, which is quite late we feel. Check out is also early at 10am. The gardens were closed so that they could grow. I understand it is a little different from normal “corporate or chain” hotels as they say in the room guide. But I felt there should have been more on offer of interaction with staff.

Great towels and bedding.
Very tasty food at the restaurant and great service at the bar.
Staff was super lovely.
Location, views and building: stunning!
Breakfast well served/tasty with multiple hot options however could have more vegetables and/or fruits added?
4.3
Very well situated with lovely views
4.3
Comfy, quiet and lovely setting.
A bit quirky.

Location was lovely. Should have been a local area map in the room as there were plenty of walks in the area. Pity there is no access to river as it would have been so much easier to get into town. Very difficult for us to carry cases to room. We are seniors and for that price we should have been offered help
See above. General lack of grounds maintenance and lack of comfortable seating outside. No shampoo or conditioner in shower. Again for the price that is expected.

The hotel is truly a hidden gem set in lovely surroundings along with really nice staff

The view from bedroom window and the location.
The weather but nothing we can do about that.

Beautiful hotel with lots of character, the location was perfect, set in woodland with a roaring fire and a relaxed feel, delicious evening meal and a free room upgrade was a lovely surprise. Contactless checkout was easy and perfect if you’re in a rush. We didn’t have time to explore the grounds but maybe including a map or directions for walks in the area in the rooms info booklet would be a nice idea. Best part of the stay for us was opening the curtains to see rabbits bobbing about and a deer. Will definitely be returning. ⭐️
nothing we didn’t like, we enjoyed our stay. A checkout time of 10am with latest breakfast at 9:30 was fine for us but I know that for some this could be a bit early. if we had to find fault we would have to say that we found breakfast a little disappointing after such a wonderful evening meal, but that could be due to only having 2 couples for breakfast. No fresh fruit or yogurt available but to be fair we didn’t ask.
check in from 4pm and checkout at 10am can for some, feel a little rushed, but you can leave your car prior to check in if like us you want to explore the local area.

the room was stunning we got upgraded to the inman suite and it was everything and more the bathroom was exceptional and clean with robes and slippers the views were beautiful and the bed was so comfy!!
the only downfall is there’s loads of ladybirds in the room at night which we had to get rid of was a bit of a letdown

The hotel was spotless. The staff were absolutely lovely. The location perfect as it is within walking distance of the centre of Pateley Bridge and an easy drive to other local attractions.
Nothing!

Lovely, cosy hotel with a relaxing atmosphere in a very private, scenic location. Friendly helpful staff, fabulous bar area with roaring fire, and wonderful meal in the restaurant. Excellent value for money and will definitely be returning!
While the room was lovely, clean and comfortable, the bed was slightly hard for my liking, but that's personal preference as my husband found it easy to sleep on.

A lovely, quiet location not far from the town centre, but with the facilities available at Harefield Hall for our one night stay, there was no need to venture further than the bar and the dining room. Friendly staff, great food and overall a cosy atmosphere made for an excellent stay.
4.3
The staff were lovely as was the accommodation. Food was outstanding at both dinner and breakfast. Thank you.
4.3
It was in a very nice position.. a nice county hotel
The breakfast could have offered a little more
4.3
The breakfast was great, hotel was nice and quiet and it was walking distance into Pateley Bridge.
I didn’t like that 48 hours before our stay they emailed to say that the price through booking.com was wrong and it was actually £24 more than what we had booked for. We were told to either pay this or we could cancel. This just left a sour taste before we had even got there and had there been availability anywhere else in the area then I would’ve booked somewhere else.
4.3
The hotel was not open until 4 pm so an early lunch before booking in was not available …a very strange set up
Closed up until 4 pm

Our room was large (much larger than booked) and very comfortable. To be fair we were only in there late at night, as we were attending a wedding. Breakfast was very good.
There was rubbish in my two bins, which was not mine.
4.3

very, very tired interior & bedroom & basic bathroom- a bit Fawlty Towers like
