Great Cottage with super back garden. Very convenient for dog owners and location to Canterbury. Local shop and pubs close by serving great food. Only negative is double beds are quite small so if you are a large frame could be a tight fit.

Tulip Tree Cottage was lovely with plenty of downstairs and outside space. Parking was fine. Everything was just so, would thoroughly recommend it

We could not have enjoyed our stay here anymore than we did; we loved everything about Tulip Tree Cottage!
We were warmly greeted and access to the property was quick and easy. The cottage has been beautifully renovated and the finish and furnishings throughout were of the highest quality. The cottage is extremely well equipped and nothing was lacking.
The private patio was a delight and the very large garden and wooded area were wonderful. In the evenings we took a glass of wine to the bench under the trees and sat looking back at the cottage, listening to the song thrushes and blackbirds singing.
Reading the guest book it is clear that we are not alone in loving Tulip Tree Cottage and hoping to return. I have never read a guest book so full of positive comments and happy visitors! I would like to add a more personal comment too; travelling with someone who has Alzheimer's is usually a nightmare, my husband does not cope well with new places and our visits to see family in England are usually stressful and difficult. However, the moment my husband entered Tulip Tree Cottage he was calm and at peace. There is a wonderful ambience to the cottage and its tranquillity worked wonders for us. We loved every minute and came home feeling properly rested - for the first time in 10 years. A huge and heartfelt 'thank you' to James and your lovely partner.

Beautiful cottage with all the amenities of home. The villagers of Bridge are very friendly. Wonderful walking trails with great views. James, the owner of the property, was very responsive and made it very easy for us to feel at home.

We moved to Bridge for 5 weeks before departing to Spain. James was a wonderful host who went over and above to help us (even printed off our travel labels when we realised there was no way for us to d so!)
We have a dog who was more than comfortable and the walks around Bridge are superb, we were walking 6 miles a day and not once got bored of the walk.
The people of Bridge are the nicest that we have met in a long time.
The pubs in the Village are 10/10
I even used the dentist and the Beauty Salon in the village whilst staying and the service was impeccable.
Short trip to Canterbury by car, if required.
I cannot recommend James and his cottages enough

We had a great time in this beautifull cottage with the amazing garden. Our kids (12 and 9) and dog had the time of their lives too. They could run, play outside and create house of trees. All was available in the house. And the communication with James was just perfect. We were also very thankfull for his flexibility on our challenging circumstances. Thanks so much James!

The property was lovely the garden was fabulous and I dog loved it’s open space and very secure ,just a few constructive criticism found the bed to small minimal space in upstairs bedroom ,insufficient mirrors or closets for clothes ,just a personal thing found the Tv a bit small , had heavy rain forecast so left early ,only due to the weather .Thank you .

Perfect!
A lovely relaxing property. The conversion was done beautifully, as if fitted specifically for us. It was tempting to just stay there and relax, rather than go out and explore the area. Nevertheless, we did, and found a park and ride for Canterbury just a mile or so down the road. It would have been hell getting into town otherwise. We took our dogs with us for this holiday, and there was a large garden, a wood and a field right behind the house. Perfect for last minute business! I would definitely recommend this property.

Quiet, comfortable, extremely well appoint cottage within easy reach of all Kent's attractions
Warm welcome from James. Cottage was already warm and welcoming, with tea and coffee provided to get us refreshed from the journey. Safe car parking directly outside the cottage, which was also in walking distance of several pubs and the Pig restaurant. Wouldn't hesitate in recommending it

Lovely getaway located well for country walks, Canterbury and Kent coastline
A lovely little getaway which was exactly what we were looking for to get over the chaos of Christmas. The property has a huge garden which our dog adored and it backs onto some bridal way walks of the area. Recommend the independent pedaler as a cafe and is approximately a 30 minute walk across the fields and paths. Also had a wonderful meal at The Pig hotel; the cottage is walkable from this but the rain meant we took the car since we had a 13 week old baby with us. Otherwise we had another in Sandwich which is a 24 minute drive. Stunning town too. We’d go back again - James and his wife were very helpful.

Great location to explore Canterbury
Very clean abs well presented property with a fabulous garden leading directly to walks and the north downs. We took our 2 dogs with us abd had lovely walks directly from the property. There are several pubs or gastro pubs within a few minutes walk all serving food and even excellent food. Canterbury city centre is a 10 minute drive so great for exploring the city Finally, James was very welcoming, provided us with really useful local information and was always willing to assist.

Lovely place to stay nice peaceful clean tidy
amazing place to get away it was very clean tidy parking on site dog friendly i have a mastiff so had to make sure they could accommodate for him there is big garden shared with the cottage next door but they never used the garden so bonus for me and the garden backed up into a field so that was good so my dog could go for a run . Loads of beaches near by 30 to 40 mins drive from cottage and 10 min drive to Canterbury town loads of places to eat.

Better than a hotel
James the host is a lovely chap, very friendly and accommodating. The property itself is better than a hotel in our opinion because it has all the facilities you need with the flexibility to do just as you wish when you want to. Everything at the property is super clean and well looked after including the extensive garden, so a big thumbs up from us. Beds are comfortable with nice crisp bedclothes.Only thing that could be improved is the shower as it has no flexible hose attachment which my wife prefers.

Lovely place to get away for a few days
We really enjoyed our stay here. It was clean, tidy and had everything we needed. Great country walks on its doorstep, a short drive to Canterbury and a short walk to an amazing hotel called the pig (which I suggest you book for dinner/drinks at).
Host is friendly and on hand for any questions! Would love to visit again :)
