The location and staff were excellent. We were very happy with the size and comfort of our rental and the fact that there was a separate kitchen/living room area and bedroom.

Great spot, beautiful view, great staff we met at check in and check out, cute old fashioned facilities and super clean.
For such a sweet spot, they really need better mattresses. Uncomfortable . Would not be able to stay more than one or two nights.

There were cobwebs in some of the kitchen cabinets

The housekeepers were very sweet! They are the only reason the place was given a fair for staff.
This place was structurally not good. The small front walkway/ tiny deck had couple soft boards on it. To the point that if too much weight was on it I was afraid am adult would fall through. Inside the room was fair but the bathroom was downright unsafe. The floor was slant in a downward fashion. What it looks like is maybe the sub floor was going and they slapped cheap flooring over it?. I've never seen anything like this in a motel. Literally you walked in the bathroom and the floor shifts significantly downhill. In the night my mother went to sit on toilet and slipped from the toilet to the tub. Not a safe place.

The beds were comfortable, but the room was outdated. It was overall moderately clean, but absolutely could use updating.

I liked the location and view. The grounds were kept neat.
They charged an extra $50 for my child to stay but when we asked for that refunded bc he wasn't planning to stay with us, they weren't really excited to return the money and asked if he would be using the facilities as if they should keep the money if he took a dip in the pool. They did refund the money and we made sure my son didn't come back to the property.

The staff is nice, the grounds are pretty, the view is nice.
The room we had was old. The furniture looked like it was from a thrift shop, old and mismatched. Towels were thin and old.
It did have a small fridge, and was stocked with items you could use if you ate in. The beds were comfortable. This is a no frills hotel.
Staff was fine. We did not really see much of them as you left towels out by the door and they replace them. As I mentioned. The rooms were old and shabby. View was nice but definitely only wanted to sleep in that room, did not want to hang in there. They did have cable which was good.

I was not expecting a separate bedroom, kitchen and Murphy bed for a guest. I thought I was getting a basic room. Nice view of water from the parking lot. If one has kids there was a nice pool area we did not use.
Traffic. Of course that was not the fault of The Garrison. Though the drive to the beach, restaurants, Ogunquit was not far, the traffic made the journey long and slow. Also, the cost to stay was high, but in line with similar facilities. Save money and visit after Labor Day or before Memorial Day. h
