The location was good, within commuting distance of where I needed to be. But then again, everywhere in Liverpool has good public transport connections.
Everything else was bad. Before arrival, my payment could not be collected through no fault of mine, I gave the property the right card payment details repeatedly, but they couldn't collect payment and kept spamming me with mails asking for card details and payment, it was very stressful. I finally had to do a transfer outside of booking.com's protection otherwise I would have been stranded in Liverpool.
On arrival, the room I was allocated - room 5, had a very hard mattress and it smelled really bad, of dry rot, wet rot and something else on the carpet that I couldn't quite pin point, the smell was so strong that I couldn't subdue it with air freshener that I brought with me. The room was draughty and the heating didn't work all through the night even though I turned it on as described by the remote house manager.
I have very well managed asthma, but the smell in that room triggered an episode of difficulty breathing in the few hours I spent there, I literally couldn't sleep all through the night. The shared bathroom was not neat either, in short, I was very happy to check out ahead of checkout time the next day.
I checked out before 11am on Sunday and it took the property four(4) days to refund my £50 deposit and I had to contact them asking for it.

The location.
Where to start? Perhaps the part when I got back from a party at 1.30 am last night and had to wake up a fellow guest to let me in. The same guest that I had met on the doorstep together with her mother yesterday afternoon who explained to me that they had been waiting an hour on the street because they couldn't access the building on account of the keypad on the front door not working.
Designed to attract unsuspecting tourists seduced by the Beatles theme, this place is an absolute disgrace. The bathroom is to be shared between 5 bedrooms, potentially 10 guests. In the 2 nights I stayed at the property nobody came in to clean it. It is narrow with the fixtures literally falling off the walls and the shower head has no other place to go than with the grime which has collected where the tiles meet the bathtub because the shower head holder is the wrong size.
Along the corridor on the groundfloor with the wallpaper hanging on defying gravity the kitchen was almost a pleasant surpise. That was until I opened the cupboard allotted to my bedroom number 1. There I was confronted with a plate with dried leftovers stuck to it. Stomach churning!
To get back into your room you will have to remember the 6 character code. Forget it outside office hours and you will spend the night on the armchair!
In short, dont touch this place. And owners, when you read this review, please react. A joint like this only serves to give British tourism a terrible reputation.

I liked the fact the backyard was used in the free as a bird video and right on penny lane
The bathroom was rank. I used toilet in the pub.
The boy that lives there smelled badly of BO that stank the hallway out. He even asked me if I could give him £5 out of the blue.
The front door didn't work so had to wake the place up to get in.
Milk I left in the fridge disappeared.
We actually left a day early and found a better place. I needed a decent bath.
This place needs a new sitting tenant who can look after the place because it could be such a fantastic place.

The host was responsive , it was close a bus stop that takes you to the city
First thing when arriving - the whole place smelled strange and when I entered my room it didn’t smell there very good either. Not sure where the smell was coming from - perhaps the carpet. The shared bathroom would have been ok if it had been clean. Really appealing state of the bathtub , very dirty , I could smell urine in the bathroom and there was hair caught up in the shower head and hair in he sink and bathtub . Spider webs hanging from the door. Then just as I was going to lay in my bed I noticed hair all over the bedsheet - this made me feel super uncomfortable…. This is really unacceptable…. The kitchen- also not clean at all …….

The room was very comfortable, clean and homely. The bed was very comfortable and spacious. It was also in a good location.

We liked the fact that we were the only people staying there so we didn’t need to share the bathroom with anyone else!
Apart from no tea towel and a shortage of cutlery there was nothing we didn’t like

Nice colorful interior
The size off the room and the boiler been in my room was annoying

It served it's basic purpose.
There wasn't much communication.
The kitchen cupboards could be degreased with sugar soap.
Couldn't find the iron?
The signage for shoes off in property & fine for those in breach of this should be better advertised.
Luckily I read the sign upon entering front hall.
The bathroom tiles could do with being regrouted.
The bathroom mirror could be hung level & looked loose. And there was quite a few cobwebs about the ceilings.
Possibly inform guests there is a big step down into the rear room.
Also the room could do with being aired out.....the air was stale.
Realistically I only needed somewhere to get a sleep.
And just highlighting things that could be corrected easily.

I received all the info via mail.
The rules concerning check-out and the overall stay were not as in Booking.com: for every conduct that did not followed the rules there would be a fine (up to 500 pounds!), not stated in the Booking.com listing (i.e. if you leave your food in the fridge= fine of 100 pounds, if you don't wash the dishes =fine 100 pounds; if we get a complaint for noise after 10pm= 500 pounds fine!) and many more fine threats.

I like it a lot. Place is far from city centre but you van easily use the bus for £2. I love these suburbs with typical english terraced house. Small room was cozy. House was very clean, you can check in/out without have to Wait or eben speak with someone. Equipment of house was sufficient. Maybe one bathroom with toilet for 5 rooms, but no one complains So do I don't. Noise was tolerable (Steps, boiler, housemates). Deposit was returned almost immediately. I recommend it.

The room was spacious and clean and the bed was comfortable.
This was basically a shared house that remind me of my uni days - I did not see or meet the owners whilst there but did meet someone else staying. There is only one shared bathroom but it was kept clean.

The price. Relatively close to the city centre.
Shared bathroom is not for everyone but works for me.

I loved the house. My room was exceptionally clean and comfortable and the decor was fantastic- especially if u r a Beatles fan!
You have to get a bus into the city centre or a taxi. It is not really a problem, just something to be aware of.

Good communication with the host who also showed good flexibility when we needed to change the room. Good connection to Liverpool airport.
The accommodation is in overall poor condition, the pictures here on booking are way outdated. It is not clean, in the first room we had there were big stains on the wall, the carpet was dirty, we looked under the bed where it looked like it had never been cleaned. Guests should not have to sleep in a room like that. We ended up switching to a new room, which was in better condition, but still not great overall, as it wasn't very clean either (especially the floor). Also, there is only one small bathroom with one toilet for all five rooms. This is not acceptable. When one person takes a shower, everything including the toilet is completely wet.

Was no breakfast but wasn't expected for the price
There wasn't really anything too change for the price we paid but the beds we're very comfortable

Exceptional service and really helpful. Clean, quiet room, perfect for individuals and families. Enjoyed the stay, near bars and near bus routes.

The bed was comfy. Although we didn’t require the self catering facilities, they seemed ideal.
The location was amazing. a stone’s throw from wonderful restaurants and a short bus from town.
The pictures did not match the property. It seems the pics are a few years old. The walls and floors were dirty, and there were quite a few cobwebs. It felt a little like student accommodation. The room smelled damp.
I wasn’t keen on the comprehensive terms and conditions provided by the third party. There was no host at the property: all communication was done by email or Booking.com messenger. The combination of these last two points made it feel a little cold. As there was no host present to oversee the property, we had a little bother with noise and antisocial behaviour from another guest.
With a little TLC, this property has the potential to provide a great experience of Liverpool.

The room, it was very comfortable and I had a magnificent rest.
The location is a bit away from the city centre. Host contacted me asking for a deposit £250... I disagreed to pay that, I called booking and they fixed everything. Host asked for a photocopy of my passport and asked many questions, it is ridiculous.

The decor and location were great. I felt immersed in the Beatles.
There were fingernail clippings on the floor in my room which made me question the cleanliness. Also there was no coffee nor tea on site.
