Etap is a budget hotel in the heart of Belfast. To that extent, 'you get what you pay for'. Ours was a three day visit to Belfast city and the Etap suited our needs and budget for the trip. The hotel is well located on 'The Golden Mile' and is only a 6/7 minute walk to City Hall, and helpfully on the stopping route of the 'hop on hop off' buses.
The hotel is clean and the bedroom adequate for a short city break as it was not our intention to spend much time in it. NB Rooms are not made up each day but new towels are available on request.
A continental breakfast is available at £8.50 with teas and coffee available from the machine in the entrance 24/7.
If you need more, then you will need to pay more.

Etap very clean and friendly staff especially a guy name Gerard he was on last night! He is very polite and makes you feel welcome! This isn’t the first time I have experienced it with him!
Very expensive for a stay.

Staff were very friendly; they had a 24 hour desk which was useful as our flight arrived quite late at night. it had air conditioning which was good and the room was nice and dark. Hotel was in a good location for us.
The room wasn't very big so if we were doing an extended stay it would have probably been a little bit crampt. However, we were just doing a long weekend over a bank holiday so that wasn't an issue.
Also another thing to note is it was a little noisy as you are located near some pubs/clubs. This wasn't an issue for us as we were out then anyway, but something to bare in mind.

Buena ubicación
Tiene una discoteca abierta enfrente que pusieron tecno y se oye muchísimo, aparte de las pintas de la gente
: borrachos, peleas..

Location very convenient for ICC Belfast and attractions. Staff were friendly. Wi-Fi was good.
Room was much smaller than anticipated. Bedding etc was very basic (eg only one flat pillow each). The toilet and sink are virtually in the room, offering no privacy at all. The shower smelled rotten until loads of water had been run through the drain.

Staff was courteous and helpful. Hotel was located at a good place. Nothing better can be said about this place.
The sheets weren't changed across the 3 days we stayed. The beds weren't made even one day. We were not provided with my bathmat for drying the feet while coming out of the shower enclosure. Lavatory was ensuite with no exhaust so if one person went to relieve him/herself, other people would get suffocated in the stench. The floor wasn't moped/vacuumed even once across the 3 days we stayed there. Room lights were defective, and their constant blinking actually gave us headaches.

Excellent city centre close to Venue and shops etc
That we couldn't stay another night!!!

+Belle chambre.
+Accueil agréable.
+Prix correct.
+Bien situé.
-Lumière de la TV avec l'heure dérangeante pendant la nuit.
-WC avec une lumière peu pratique.
-Indiquer mieux le nom de l'hôtel.

Tiny room, with strange bathroom and shower that water goes all around the place.

Great location, and they could provide irons/ironing boards etc which is a plus. At reception there's a machine you can get water etc from for free.
The rooms are tiny. I knew it would be small but they were smaller than I'd thought. It would be a grand place to stay alone if you're heading out etc, but not sharing a room. The toilet is just behind a small door too that while does close, has gaps like a cubicle door - I found this odd.
It can be noisy too, there is a nightclub or pub next door (though I did stay on a Saturday). I'd paid around €180 for one night here, and wouldn't pay it again.

Room was very clean
Bed was uncomfortable
And as for food very disappointing
8.50 for noting only bread and cupcake as toaster was brook and no hot food so very disappointed in that we ended up going and eating out after wasting our money on that

Comfy small room with nice big bed
Area was very dirty at breakfast time

Walking distance into City Centre
Room needs badly updated, shower door didn’t close properly. Water pressure was ridiculous coming from the shower No handwashing soap / body wash (empty bottles) very uncomfortable beds

The location of the hotel is ideal if you want to be near the train station and city Centre. Also our room had a top bunk bed which was convenient for our 4 yr old to stay in.
Considering that we paid around 165 sterling per night, the rooms are super tiny. We were 2 adults and a kid of 4yrs with just 1 luggage and it was too crowded for us. Also there are not enough bench space to put your things in. No hand towels were provided and there was nowhere to hang your towels to dry them. The room would be convenient for a solo traveler for work but definitely not good for a family of 3.

The hotel is located close to city centre with good restaurants and pubs right outside the door.
Breakfast can be busy so choose your timing well.

The value for money
Only 1 pillow per person. Coffee wasn't the nicest. Bed a bit hard and not much storage for clothes.

Liked the price and prime location, also comes with parking discount
Room is way to small, don’t like the fact that the shower and bathroom are separate and also there is no separate room. You can’t really get any privacy. Also bathroom door is not fully closed so smells etc can go from top and bottom

The property was in a good location.
The property was not the cleanest and the noise from the Bar/club next door kept us awake all night, it was intimidating walking back into the hotel as there was very drunk people fighting and vomiting and very rowdy there was no staff about to complain to
8.0
No frills, no spills. Comfortable clean bed.
A bit of street and club music noise in the late evening. Unable to close the outer window pane to block the noise.but apart from that OK.

Good location
High price for a budget room. Depressing decor, poor shower and no tea making facilities in the room. Very poor for the cost. I would say go somewhere else.

Staff was okay, room service was okay. Breakfast was okay but not better.
During booking I have asked for two family rooms with internal door between two rooms. They said by email they will provide us but when we checked in hotel they said it's not possible. This made us disappointed. The room size was so tiny, no space for kid cot. They did not provide cot though they supposed to. We did not ask for as no space in the room. The toilet, shower, basin was horrible.no privacy in the room. Toilet door does not have privacy door lock system. The room number was 309 and 311. No tea or coffe in the room. So tiny room, no space for tea or coffee. My wife got two times hit in her head as they put bunned bed in both rooms. This made us disappointed as well. The hotel made our holiday ruined. I will never recommend this hotel for family.
The staff was okay, cleanliness was okay.
