The Four Poster bed was great, but it was a bit off putting as right next to it were a set of bunk beds, so not as cosy as we thought. Other than that it was great. The staff were great and helpful and the breakfast was superb and great value!
Bunk beds in the room.

Only stayed for 1 night, the staff were very helpful and friendly, great location in the middle of town so good for shopping , bars and restaurant's. Bedroom was well furnished and very comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was great and value for money.
Little bit of noise from the bar below

Location and breakfast very good. Also extra heaters in room were very thoughtful
Double glazing and better heating in bathroom.

Spacious room and bathroom. Lovely old building
Room decor wasn’t to my taste

The property is perfectly located in Dereham and has free parking. It’s also a pub which is a bonus. Large four poster bed, huge TV (if that’s important to you). Breakfast was very good
The hotel facilities are extremely dated. The room decor, bathrooms and furniture are in dire need of a revamp, however for a one or two night stay if you’re just looking for a place to sleep, it’s absolutely fine

Clean and comfortable room. Food was good and breakfast very good value.
It was bit tatty.

Location was the best bit
Poor generally. We stayed 2 nights and they didn't even make up our bed. Breakfast was slow and it took a while to even be acknowledged. I felt the food was done on the cheap.

I had a single room. Room 5. There were no bedside lamps, The ceiling light was dingy making the whole ambiance of the room depressing. There was no light near the one chair (although there were 2 single beds. There was one light switch and a pull switch. This meant that someone using one of the beds had to get out of the bed to turn the light on and off.
There was no iron in the room and I had to use an iron from another room. The ironing board had tiny legs which meant had to kneel on the floor to iron.
Whilst looking for an iron in the chest of draws the front of a draw fell off.
You could not watch the TV from the one chair only from the bed.
I have never stayed in a place where you had to get out of bed to turn a light on and off.
I decided not to stay and return home. So I wasted £89.00 and this did not include breakfast.
The floor mat from the car park into the rear of the premises was worn and filthy. Not a good impression.
I am an experienced traveller often staying in B and B premises and this was by far the worst. Very disappointing.

Dog friendly. No food Sunday night, but provided plates & cutlery for a takeaway we could eat at a table in the bar. Super friendly ,& great atmosphere. Discounted breakfast 3xcellent too!
Bathroom could do with updating, but adequate & did the job! Difficult to update I guess in such an old beautiful building.

The hotel is located in the town centre
The cleanliness of the room, there was marks in the toilet as soon as we arrived.
We got told we had been upgraded so I’d hate to see the original room.
The macerator toilet constantly went off throughout the night and the room smelt damp.

Fantastic location for what we wanted.
Amazing food. Highly recommend
Couldn’t get TV to work and cushions in pillowcases.
Real pillows would have made it a brilliant stay.

The room (Family room) was big, very well presented, warm and cosy. The bed was very comfortable. The cooked breakfast was top notch, especially for the price! The scrambled egg was a bit salty but couldn't fault the rest of it; proper bacon, sausage and excellent mushrooms + grilled tomato (and not the Tinned stuff). Probably the best option for the price within a 10 mile radius.
Only faults; no teaspoon in the room but the fork worked equally as well. Woken up at 7:45 on a Sunday morning by a very loud fan from the kitchen underneath but was already sub-conscious by then.

The staff were really friendly and helpful. Told me if I had any problems with anything come and speak to them and they would sort it. And they did! My room was quite cold (we were in the middle of the coldest weather snap), so they found me a heater.
I popped into the bar and was pleasantly surprised by the number of real ales on!
And the bed was lovely and big and comfortable!
The old sash window wouldn't close properly so there was rather cold air coming through a couple of millimetres at the bottom. They said that sometimes you had to pull it up to get it to go down, but I couldn't budge it either way!
When I mentioned it they said they would find me a heater, which they did and I was nice and toasty!

Stayed here many times over the years , it was shut for a long time, and changed management . Evening meal and breakfast were very nice. Right in town with a big carpark . Staff are really nice, gave our dog a sausage for breakfast and made a fuss of him . It's a very old pub , so don't expect trendy ness.

Location but for the price a cooked breakfast should have been included. Staff very pleasant and helpful.
Dated with sagging mattresses on beds.

Staff so friendly and welcoming, a lovely old building, bed comfortable, rolled top bath, nothing too much trouble, clean, soft fluffy towels, tea and coffee facilities, loved it
To be honest, there wasn't much we didn't like, however, if you have poor mobility, the roll top Bath would be difficult to get in and out and a macerator in toilet, but again, it didn't disturb us at all, the only thing we needed was a small table to put our drinks on, we had to put them on floor, whilst we sat on sofa, a small table would be a nice addition, personally.

Okay breakfast. Dinner was good. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Didn’t make up our room
Generally a bit scruffy

The location was perfect and the staff were truly lovely. For the price we paid, the room was fairly ok.
Uncomfortable mattresses and the pillows were very flat. Bathroom was as clean as it could be for the physical state it was in and the obvious age of it. It needs a make over - shower was mouldy around the bottom tiles and very little water pressure. Limescale around plug holes and taps. Toilet grubby and blue toilet cleaner stains ingrained around the bowl.
