This is a historic location, with a lot of character! The rooms are older but nice. The staff are phenomenal, so friendly and helpful, grateful to Leila. We were initially in a room we weren’t expecting but the moved us over to a much better room which was so appreciated. The location to everything can’t be beat and the breakfast and garden are simply charming. We really enjoyed it!

The staff, the breakfast and the location were all excellent. The staff were all extremely helpful and always with a smile.
The location was also excellent. We were very near the centre.
Nothing - we had a great stay. Our room was very comfortable and charming, and we were near all the attractions

Very good location to visit all the sites in Florence. All within easy walking distance.
The staff were very helpful and very polite. Recommended very good restaurants that tourist probably wouldn’t have know about.
The cups in room were not changed and the tea and coffee was not replenished.

Hotel in a 15th century building. Very impressive. Close to railway station and center. Quiet street. Beautiful patio where you can have breakfast. The breakfast is good.
The overall rating is determined by the impression of the room, which was provided on the first day.
in photo 1 - what I booked
in photo 2 - what I got
The staff tried to convince me that they were the same rooms. Can anyone agree with this?
On the second day they provided a room corresponding to the reservation.
But the mood on the first day was completely spoiled (((
There is not a single photo of these terrible numbers! If I had seen such a room, I would never have booked!!!

too noisy - no noise insulation at all. my room was way below the appearance of the photos

Perfect location, near to the station but also very close to all of the historic sights. The hotel is beautifully decorated, comfortable and clean. Friendly, helpful reception staff and excellent breakfast.
4.5
The decor of the rooms is traditional and aesthetically pleasing. The breakfast, of excellent quality, was held in a lovely setting. The room where I ended up staying (after moving from the ground floor because of unbelievably noisy guests in the neighboring rooms) was large, quiet, and peaceful.
The first room I was given, a few steps away from the reception area, was in a hallway full of boisterous, inconsiderate adults and children (part of a tour group, I imagine, since they all seemed to know each other and spoke the same language). They were constantly yelling in the corridor, leaving their doors open, slamming them, and generally creating a continuous disturbance. I took it for about an hour and then asked if I could be relocated. Fortunately, the person at reception was kind and understanding, and immediately found me more peaceful surroundings.

The location and staff there are very friendly. They speak wonderful English!
The room we were allocated was not the same as we saw from the photos. The beds were extremely uncomfortable. For me I slept on the sofa bed which was extremely uncomfortable and it turned out to be disassembled so I had to fix it myself when I found it out after lifting the bed sponge (yes it was). The room we were was on the top floor with some view but I would not recommend anyone to pay extra (which I did) and having to hear the noise from the lift operating.
Despite the great location, wonderful staff (reception and cleaning staff), please whoever owns or manages - spend some $$$ to update the beds!
After having wonderful sleep at Airbnb in Rome, I struggled to sleep every night and it made my days so tired.

The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of the shopping area and also within walking distance to all the main Piazzas. The only set back is there is no F&B in the hotel apart from the very basic buffet breakfast, perhaps not a great problem given the amount of restaurants within walking distance. The staff are exceptionally helpful and friendly.

We loved the staff. They were helpful and funny. They gave us recommendations re restaurants and places to visit. The owner, Signore Zucconi, who is also an accomplished author, chatted with us and actually signed a copy of his book for us. (He also picked up our check for happy hour). His wife talked with us one morning about the hotel and the neighborhood. Breakfast was served in a small garden (as were happy hour cocktails), and was everything from tea and capucinno to eggs done however you wanted them as well as pastries, bacon, fruit, yogurt. The rooms were very large and comfortable. The location was within walking distance of everything, particularly the train station, which was one reason we chose to stay there. Grazie Jurie, Leila, Joyce, and of course Il Signore e la Signore Zuccione. We loved the place!

Breakfast was beautiful and delicious! Busy street a little noisy with window open especially on weekend! Maybe next time I’ll ask for a room off the street.

Good location.
As described, this hotel is really old and not renovated well. If you are fan of living in a really old place with not much modern facility/upgradation then it is ok. For us, the stay was uncomfortable as everything is old, beds, AC, shower, etc are all not in modern standards. You will NOT feel like you are staying in an ancient but renovated building, you feel like you are in a old building with old furniture and appliances. So there is no point to pay this amount to stay in such a condition.

I love this hotel! So much character and history. We had a triple room,it was beautiful, spacious, very clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was tasty , coffee made to order! The staff at the front desk were very helpful and friendly. Great location within walking distance to all the main attractions and to the station. A lovely family hotel.
