Pretty surroundings, in the forest, well equipped apartment
I would have liked a second bedside lamp

We enjoyed our stay. Everything was good, apart from the weather.
Pity about the power cut, but the refund for the night without power is much appreciated.
The weather !

We loved the accommodation. It's very well thought out and beautifully presented. It was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Checking in and out was very smooth. Thank you so much for the thoughtful provision of coffee, tea and milk; and the voucher for the shepherd's baa was very welcome. We went back several times!
The location is fabulous; quiet, picturesque and the grounds are well looked after. The proximity to the lake and the forest was perfect for us (outdoor swimmer and aborist here)
We have 2 suggestions which should in no way detract from what is an exceptional property in a stunning place. We would have liked a shelf for personal items in the bathroom and a bedside rug to catch any bits from the beautiful hard floors on feet and stop them getting into the bed.

The location is enchanting, placed in the heart of a managed forest, just a couple of miles from a local village.
The cottages are furnished with taste and kitted with all modern appliances.
The grounds are lovingly landscaped and make for a delightful hideaway.
We look forward to returning on our next trip to East Anglia.
The mattress in our guest room was less comfortable than hoped.

Such nice people to deal with-they let us in early and leave later.
Wagtail Cottage is the last in a line of about 5 terraced Cottages, and was comfortable, clean and quiet (apart from the jets and occasional gunshots from nearby RAF). . It is a quiet, walled private estate with a huge grassed area, on the other side of which are the businesse's offices in a historic building. It is in a fantastic position for the Arboretum, where we went bird watching and enjoyed coffee and gluten free cake from the amazing Shepherd's Baa in the grounds just outside the Cottage ground's walls! They even give you a voucher for a free coffee and cake!
There is a micro wave, hob & oven, full size dishwasher and washer dryer, fridge and freezer.
We appreciated the patio with personal table and bench seats just for Wagtail Cottage. It is at the far end of the row from the car parking area outside the gates.
The double room has a large magnifying Vanity mirror on the dressing table, which I greatly appreciated.
The heating is different on each floor but easily controlled so that although it was near freezing outside, we stayed warm and cosy day and night.
The fire pit was wonderful, having been lit by other guests who we joined one evening.
The second bedroom has no bedside table, which meant my husband had to put his CPAP machine on the floor. A small chair in the bedrooms would have been great to put our clothes on over night, though there are good wardrobes. Also a stool in the shower room to aid dressing for those of us of mature years who can no longer stand on one leg!
