We arrived and were welcomed by a lovely lady on reception our room was ready which was great, we have stayed at this hotel many times, it is in a great location for the town tram stop just a little walk away.
We will return back next year it's a nice hotel well stocked bar, restaurants food is lovely too, breakfast is plentiful
We requested a late checkout bit steep in price £25. For an extra 2 hours
We got to our room, which was a small double the room itself was fine big tv tea coffee facilities, sadly the room wasn't cleaned i had to ask receptionist to ask house keeping to come and clean it properly which they did and did a good job ( this time)
See photos to see what I mean about the room not being cleaned properly!

It has the best British breakfast that gives you a beautiful morning start as the breakfast buffet has well prepared food, fresh croissants and bread that they seem to make on their own.The breakfast is quite organised as the staff that serve and manage are very professional and there serve and pay attention to their guests needs with use of excellent standards which gives you a positive start of your day in the Blackpool.
Short staffing at the reception as one has to wait for staff on the reception to complete long busy booking calls and then wait more time for them to communicate and attend to you. Please note:Staff there are very friendly and welcoming.

Whilst the travel and leisure industry is struggling to recruit staff the Carlton have managed to secure and recruit some amazing staff, they really can’t do enough for you and the receptionist was lovely and kind and went out of her way to make sure we had a great stay. Well done to everyone at the Carlton

The room as it was never hoovered and some of the reception staff were a bit snotty with us

Location
Stairs, corridors, door handles in public areas sticky, room doors I’ll-fitting with much light coming round edges.
6.0
The room was very quiet no noise from extractor fans even though it was overlooking the rear o the property.
The room was much smaller than expected the door almost touching the bed when you walked in. No blind at the toilet window, nowhere in the bathroom to put your toothbrush etc, the shower tray flexed badly when standing in it and the top of the toilet cistern was dusty.

It was convenient and I could park
A little dated

I could take my 2 dogs £20, parking was only £5 all day.
It was good value and ok, would go again. The breakfast was nice.
It's not my usual hotel type but think it fitted the bill with having my dogs with me.

Lovely Staff. Great areas downstairs with seating to sit in a group. Booked in advance and price was amazing and included breakfast which was excellent. Everyone in our group was very happy with the choice of hotel.
One of our group didn't like her single room as it was very small, seemed smaller than other single rooms.

the bathroom was very dated and worn. (room 119) Breakfast was a little poor, sausages very poor quality and the tomatoes were ready to go with a salad.

see below, i never got to stay
i stay at the hotel on a few occassions as a stop and refresh basis for a few hours as i travel from north to south, this particular day i rung up asking if i could come an hour earlier ie 1pm instead of 2pm and was told it would cost me an extra £25 to which i had to miss the hotel booking to travel straight to my destination as the meeting had been brought forward by an hour, to me this was not very customer friendly its not as if i was asking to come at 7-30am just a basic one hour earlier, surely common sense should prevail and it has totelly ruined my opinion of my future and previous stays, i say future stays it may well be that i just find somewhere else to eat and refresh during my journey

Friendliness of the staff. Breakfast very good, location for our needs
First bedroom very cold even after the radiator had been on for over an hour. 2nd bedroom offered the heating was the same but because it was a smaller room (too small) it didn't feel as cold
