We were a family party of 16 over Christmas and had a brilliant time. The rooms are all large and can cope with a group of diverse ages - 14 to 72. The dining room seats 16 very comfortably and the sitting room (with some furniture movement likewise). We did not make use of either the tennis court or swimming pool because of the weather but I know they would have been if we had been there in the summer. The kitchen is reasonably well equipped although if you are cooking anything in particular you might want to take your own stuff. The owner and manager could not have been more helpful. The bedrooms are comfortable and there seemed to be plenty of hot water. I highly recommend for a family gathering.

A fabulous house to stay in with plenty of space for our group of 14, with a great team of lovely people helping it all run smoothly. Thank you!

We had a great weekend at Conyboro. Communication from the owners was good. The house is huge and generally very nice if a bit run down in places. You also don't get the entire property, just the central part and there are various restrictions on use as a result. Overall however a very good place for a weekend away with a large group of friends and perfectly placed for Glyndebourne.

We had a great few days away with family and friends, plenty to do to keep all ages entertained - as well as plenty of space for everyone to do as they pleased.

We had a great stay here. We were 6 couples with young babies. The house is quite spacious with plenty of outdoor areas as well. Great for large groups. Would recommend staying. Also a nice pub a short walk away.

We found the property had everything we needed. We made full use of the pool, snooker table, table tennis. The Rainbow Inn was well visited too - best carvery ever.
The property is within easy reach of Cooksbridge Station and the Bluebell Railway.
A great week was had by all

We had a wonderful long weekend at Conyboro house. The property was perfect for celebrating a 90th birthday with 4 generations ranging in age from 2 to 90. The property is very spacious and both inside and out with plenty of room for 16 people to enjoy time together or find a quiet space when you want a bit of time on your own. The kitchen is very well equipped with an Aga and an oven, plenty of fridge and freezer space and two dishwashers. There are lots of activities for everyone to take part in and we made use of all of them. The bedrooms are spread out around a lovely galleried landing which made for extra privacy and meant that early risers didn't disturb those still sleeping. Hot water was in plentiful supply which can sometimes be a problem in a larger property. The property is conveniently placed 10 minutes walk from Cooksbridge Station which is only an hour from London Victoria. There is a pub just 5 minutes walk away and the facilities of Lewes are only a 10 minute drive away. Communication with Karen was very good and Matt gave us a good introduction to the property. I would highly recommend the property for family get togethers.

we originally booked this venue for a wedding which sadly had to be cancelled due to Covid 19. The owner would not cancel the booking or allow me to change the names on the booking which made it extremely hard for us. In order to not loose our money we got a group of the orginal wedding guests together and decided to go anyway. None of this was ideal and the owner was very tough to deal with. I recommend that anyone who books reads the seperate contract that they offer very carefully. Also the property is very old and tired and doesnt look like the pictures which show it full of stuff which it is not. Beware!

This was a truly beautiful residence with sprawling grounds that made for a very special trip. Karen and Matt were very efficient communicators, and we even got a surprise delivery of local produce which we enjoyed on the coal barbecue. We feel very lucky to have had the opportunity to stay here and would recommend it to anyone.

I have just returned from an incredibly wonderful weekend at Conyboro House.
We were a group of 14 friends looking for the quintessential country weekend and we sure got it!
The house is even better than the photo's indicate. It is grand! It's spacious and oozes all the charm of a manor house you would expect (including a wood paneled billiard room).
The kitchen is lovely and big and had everything we needed to prepare the reasonably extravagant dinners we cooked each night. Two dishwashers and two fridges.. so that was handy.
The dining room is a fabulous space with a big table which easily seated the 14 of us.
The bedrooms are all spacious (some very grand indeed) and there are plenty of bathrooms as most rooms have an ensuite. There's a good mixture of rooms with double beds and others with single beds which make it perfect for mixed groups and ages.
The grounds are stunning.. We really loved the heated swimming pool, tennis court and croquet lawn. We also went on a long ramble in the nearby fields foraging blackberries which quickly found themselves turned into a dessert. There's a lovely big picnic table in the garden which we spent hours at drinking rose ! Also a charcoal BBQ which we used one day too.
The setting is lovely.... you are in the country not in town and there are lovely views of the fields from the windows and the garden.
Checking in and out was very easy.
There is a great pub just a couple of hundred meters away (The Rainbow Pub and Carvery) and it has a great garden as well.
The town of Lewes is a short drive from the house and has all the major supermarkets etc so getting supplies is easy!
Honestly.. just book this place. It's amazing and a really great house to have a whole lot of fun in!!
