Very comfy little one-bedroom barn with modern design and facilities for our daily needs. Also, it’s in the same village as my mum-in-law and very closed for our daily visit, superb location that you could easily catch a bus or drive a rental car. Also easy to go on different routes of walk from the door step.
Shower space can be bigger and the shower water power can be stronger. Other than that, all very good with this barn.

Very well presented, tastefully decorated and equipped. Good car parking.
Very tight and difficult to use stair case!

It was the perfect location for us. The overall presentation of the property was very tasteful presented. Small but perfect, the accommodation was clean, fully equipped and private with our own garden, table and chairs to share a glass of something as the sun goes down.We were delighted with our stay and the facility. We would use this again.
A welcome pack would have been a nice gesture. Many other hosts do but fortunately we arrived prepared. It just a nice thought! The en-suite bathroom hot water tap did not work on arrival but it wasn’t a problem as there was plenty of hot water around the property.

Exceptionally clean and comfortable. It was very private with its own garden and parking. With both a front and back door it was airy during a heatwave.. Excellent use has been made of a small space.
Close to the bus stop we had a day trip to Salisbury without any parking concerns. The village is so pretty, with plenty of places to eat. Walking was easy, with footpaths close by.
Some pans are not compatible with the cooker meaning to boil an egg took 15 mins.

Perfect location in a super village that had all the services that one could wish for. Great pubs/ restaurants, excellent walks, friendly residents and good access to so many places of interest within a very close radius. The New Forest is the crown.
Having to leave.

I liked the style of the place and the downstairs, the location was good as the town was sweet and nice walks local, not too far to drive into the New Forest. Garden was pretty with few birds, good dvd collection :) kitchen and bathroom were fine, clean and user friendly. Good value and cozy feel! We recommend The Goat pub down the local town and cycle shop in Lyndhurst.
The upstairs gets very very hot. Unfortunately It cannot be helped as I assume its because it the eves of the barn and naturally hot air rises (we did stay on the hottest day of the year so far I must add) there was a fan, but was still very hot. We aren’t use to road noise so we couldn’t open the window and the local kids were having a 3am drinking session outside. (Just bad luck on our first night) so overall bad night sleeps the whole weekend. Nothing to do with the owners as cannot be helped, just if you rely on good sleep bring earplugs and open window (or don’t come summer time)

The location for our purposes was good - visiting Stonehenge and driving south into The New Forest - all easy from here.
The kitchen was big and well equipped but did have some issues.
Lots of hot water.
First impressions of the property was "cute" but the cuteness soon waned.
The town of Downham lacked the rural charm of many of its neighbours and as well as being on the edge of The New Forest, the property is on the edge of a community play area and housing estate. We went away on holiday to escape neighbours' children bouncing balls and the first sound we heard was exactly that. The photographs and description make the property sound more rural than it is.
Parking - awkward - the other end of the barn is presumably the owners' house ( I say presumably because no-one came near to introduce themselves). The entrance gate was positioned for ease of access to owners'property. Guests had to pull in sharply to avoid two cars parked on the left. Manoevering out was a challenge even in a Mini
The staircase - very narrow and steep. Carrying bags/suitcases up there was tough (we are 67 and no Olympians) Bedroom - very limited floorspace. Bed too big for the bedroom area. Space between it and the door to the toilet was slim. We both banged our legs several times. The "wardrobe" was the unused area under the eaves kitted out with a hanging rail. It was very dusty with chipboard floorcovering. The aforementioned toilet was tiny and because of the sloping roof anyone over 6feet would bump their heads as well as their legs. We both found the bed to be soft and uncomfortable.
We used the washing machine as we had been travelling. All was well until the spin cycle. The banging noise was horrendous. We stopped the wash to see if we had put something odd in the machine but no - just clothing. This happened a second time and so we washed by hand. The oven was not clean and had the remains of the previous inhabitant's pizza crust.
Lounge area - the sofa was one of the most uncomfortable we had ever encountered. There were cobwebs on all the window sills. Knitted cushions and throws everywhere - possibly not the most hygienic of soft furnishings in Covid times.
Level of cleanliness throughout was not to our standards.

French doors to a side garden, which was in the sun during the afternoon and late evening.
Location - right on the edge of the New Forest, but with all the amenities of a small town.
We should have stayed longer!

Great location. Didn't meet owners but very clear that they take a huge amount of effort ensuring everything clean and well kept. Lovely private garden area.

A short walk into the village
Unfortunately the property had not been cleaned properly from the previous occupants. Dirty fridge my wife had to clean before we could use, icebox door cracked and ice packs in there which looked like they had been in there for months, dirty oven, food debris inbetween glass on the oven door, layer of food deposits between oven door and unit, water and scale in kettle from previous occupants, toaster still had toast crumbs on top and underneath from previous occupants, egg poacher not cleaned, dirty coffee mugs, dead woodlice along skirting board/carpet, pubic hair on shower door, bedroom window didn't close properly hence road noise when in bed. No contact with owners throughout the week and I wonder why.

Spotlessly clean, well-heated, comfortable.
We were a bit afraid of the cream-coloured carpet and would have appreciated some hard floor-covering or plastic matting just inside the door for our boots and wellies. As it was, we spread out newspapers for that purpose.
It was nice to have the upstairs toilet but would have been nicer if there had been a hand-towel.
The temperature of the shower was difficult to regulate.

The location was good for the Hospital I needed to visit for an appointment. The place its self was really good and a good size with nice decor.
The place was not very clean with sugar and drink rings on the sides. some of the kitchen items need throwing away could not use them. folder with infor in it was greasy to the touch. did see one of the owners for a few minutes

Hob was a bit confusing

Overall the place was very nice. The accessories in the kitchen were great. Water pressure was lovely. Brilliant location. Friendly environment. And the hosts were lovely, helpfull and prompt.
We did like our stay, I think our expectations were a bit high for the price, comparing to other stays in the similar price range.
The bed was not to our taste. We didn't have very good sleep in that mattress.
The toilet upstairs was noisy to use. Waking up everyone in the middle of the night if you had to use it. One of the taps is not working.
The plates in the cupboards were dirty. This was very disappointing as there is a pandemic going on.
The cleaning overall was wishy washy, on the surface it looked brilliant but as you get close ... not so much. Again, due to the pandemic we was expecting a bit more attention to this.
We we're a bit confused as we're used to recycling, there were mentions of recycling in the book but only one bin.
We struggled to get the temperature to a constant temperature, it was either too hot, or too cold.
